- I really enjoyed this Western Floral Boot Design. It's springy, bright and fun!
The fabric I used is from a Kaffe Fassett collection. I believe it is discontinued but I had a little left and decided to make kits available. I also have the digital pattern of the boot and the completed sweatshirts. All are in my Etsy store here:

In this video I share how I dressed up a plain sweatshirt with this floral boot bouquet. This design would also be beautiful on a pillow, tote or the back of a denim shirt or jacket. Enjoy!

Hi Julia! What a cute project!! Doodling over and around the flowers really made the flowers stand out. Thanks for sharing this fabulous remake!
The doodling really adds to the look. Thanks so much for watching! Julia
Който обича цветя, си прави ваза от всичко. Който си обича дрехите, гледа как ти ги правиш още по-хубави. И да станат уникални е екстра, подарена от теб.
Another winner Julia, a great design. Love it, thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much 😊
I think the free motion on the flowers works really well
I like the added look of the doodles. Free-motion works great for this. Thanks so much for watching! Julia
Just love this project. Beautiful appliqué. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you so much Kim!

This is really cute! Thank you for showing us.
Thank you so much for watching!
Really cute! I'm sure they will do very well in your shop! Have a blessed day/week☺️
Thank you! Enjoy your week.
Fun again! You make this free motion always fun and not scary. Any one can do this. I made a boys quilt with cars and used your technique. So stress level-0. Love you and I subscribed and love your ideas. TY
I'm so glad you tried free-motion on your quilt and you found it stress free! It is so fun! Thanks for subscribing and watching:) Julia
Looks cute!

When you FMQ what is your stitch length/width at? Thank you, love your videos.
Hi, Your stitch length is 0. On my machine it automatically goes to "0" when I drop my feed dogs. The width is also at "0". When I do free-motion zig-zag, the width is at 5 and the length is at 0. Thanks for watching, Julia
Good job ! I thought it was difficult to embroidery on a stretch fabric, but apparently not. You keep the same tension machine than cotton fabric ? And the same needle machine ?
This sweatshirt fabric has enough "body" that i do not need a stabilizer. Nor do I change needles. However,, if I am putting this design on a lighter t-shirt fabric, I would use a stitch and tear stabilizer underneath. Also a lighter weight knit may result in skipped stitches. Changing to a stretch needle will help. You may have to adjust tension, I always test first. Most times I do not have to mess with the tension.
@@stitchesbyjulia ok thanks a lot julia 🙂
