I did watch a part of that fight. Had the man used what he learned by had a difficult time then I would've though "Okay, so he isn't overpowered." But having him be like "Yeah, I'm a bad ass who just has to stand still and practically let whitey's punches go right past me" is insulting and I'm sticking with it being racist.
