@@MamaDoctorJones I know you didn't mean it that way, but not having safe sex is not the only way to end up with an STD/STI, I know you also know this, that you're good at what you do and I really do love your videos. Just.. it's kind of a painful reminder of how people think about anyone who has an STD for people like me who suffered through being given one by a grown adult at the age of 2, (and suffered through a lot of shame knowing I had had that in my past), or those who contract one while being born because of their mother having one, or the many other ways you can end up with one without choosing to have unprotected sex. People see anyone with an STD and think that they're dirty and irresponsible. To be clear, I don't even think that people who have unprotected sex should have the stigma of being dirty and irresponsible, (we don't know their life, and we don't know what happened, and people make mistakes), but that's how it is unfortunately. I normally don't get easily triggered, I honestly can't even explain why this hit me so hard, but for some reason, (maybe I'm having an extra emotional day), this got to me. I think I just respect your opinion so much, and so many other people respect your opinion that I kind of got upset that some people would use that to confirm their biases, and some people like me would think you also think that way. I don't think you actually do, you certainly have never seemed to before. Anyways, no hate, all love, I actually really adore you and your content. Also, this is an awkward time to mention it, but you remind me of my trauma therapist. 😊 (Actually just graduated from trauma therapy, I might be a little raw)
Yeah and it's better to overestimate than underestimate, 7days? Better account for some mistakes - 10 days. 4 tampons per day? Better double that as you might be clumsy in 0g, and we don't want you have to use dirty ones. Ok so 80, but maybe in space you would blead more so let's add some more. 100. But is it enough? Just exploring from "reasonable math"... The recommended usage is to change every 8 hours (at least) so 3 X a day as a minimum... MOST women prefer to just swap out at bathroom breaks, so double "to be sure" and for 6 per day at 5 days (average work-week) you get 30... should suffice... Though obviously a question toward her "usual duration" should be posed somewhere... to be relatively sure) HOWEVER... This is also NASA, and she is also THE FIRST EVER woman into space, let alone the first to likely have a menstrual cycle... IN ZERO-G... AND we just don't entirely know how the body 100% deals with Zero-G... The nature of pioneering, such as it is, we CAN'T know "for sure"... The "most precise" effort might be to ask her approximately when to expect the period-week... AND prepare for a "clotting issue" for the entire remainder of the trip... SO 6 per day from her expected "day 1" through the rest of the trip... OR just double or triple the number, and assurances that "we at NASA" don't discriminate or try to be difficult for getting along with women in the program. Better to have more than you need than not enough... and we're blasting all this cargo up into space anyway... a couple more pounds probably won't bankrupt the Admin... It still comes to 60 if you double... and 90 for triple... BUT the ballpark is laid toward understandably 100... AND I'm working on the 5-day work-week, though at least some women can deal with 6 or more... SO there needs to be a conversation... It feels kind of sexist to me, to be honest. She was going into space and instead of assuming she could take care of herself, they decided that her period was going to be such a catastrophic issue that they had to help her pack for it like it was going to be the end of the world. OK, RE: glitter as lube, I will *NEVER EVER EVEVER* forget the submission I read in one of those "embarrassing things that have happened to me!" columns from a magazine back in the day when we all read multiple, physical, magazines. This woman had her gyno appointment and so grabbed the washcloth by her sink, got it wet, and did a quick clean-up instead of taking a shower. Then at the appointment, her doctor was like "you didn't have to do so much prep for me you know!" and she was like "???" thinking that she had done the bare minimum. When she got home she realized it was the washcloth she had used to take her makeup off the night before, and she had spread tons of sparkles and glitter all over her bits before showing up. I hope someone else remembers this anecdote and that it affected them as much as me!
Hey doc! I was 43 1/2 weeks pregnant when I gave birth to my second child. When my water broke there were clumps of baby hairs coming from my hooha. I panicked because my first thought was that my babies head was crowning and I was wiping away her hair on her head with the rag. 😂😂😂 that obviously wasn’t the case at all, as I gave birth to her 4 hours later so she was nowhere near crowning at the time. 😂 She had long hair to the base of her neck except the top of her head was thinning so she looked like she had a skullet. The doctor told me that perhaps her head was rubbing so low for so long that her hair began to shed. She said she’s never seen that before and we all laughed uncomfortably at my mystery baby. Regardless, she was so freaking cute with the biggest eyes and turned up nose and big pouty lips.
The Midwife of my friend told her, that it is quite common, that babys shed there after around 2 weeks. Usually, humans are around 42 weeks pregnant, so that lines up...

Relatively uncommon. The National Center for Health Statistics has stats on various aspects (preterm, low birthweight, Mother's age, etc.) and the CDC has information on a lot of basic pregnancy information.
While the OB was performing the episiotomy, he snipped my daughter's hair while she was crowning. It was stuck to her shoulder when they gave her to me lol. That was a sight.
So when I was 7, I lived in a home with cockroaches and I remember one time I woke up and there was cockroach crawling in my underwear. I obviously got it out but it did scare me to think that at least one of them crawled in me. Thankfully I have never had an insect up there and I don’t have to deal with cockroaches anymore. I just found out I was pregnant 11 years after a tubal ligation because of implantation bleeding. You saying when in doubt take a test played in my brain so I did... Yeah, I've absolutely no clue. Luckily for me, we had been considering doing in vitro because, due to various life events, we wanted to have a baby but it was just so expensive. So a happy surprise at least. Right now we're at shocked and tentatively excited bout trying not to be too happy about it, just in case....
TMI story time: When I was in like 2nd grade, I went with a friend to her camping cabin and we ran around in the field for a few hours. We get back to the house and we check each other for ticks (her mom taught her that she needed to do so after playing out there and how to properly remove them). Anyways, we find a few on our legs, remove them and then go inside for a snack & movie. We look at each other and question if a tick could have made its way inside our vaginas (before the time of smart phones & google) and proceed to check ourselves. Thinking a bug could get into the vagina isn't that weird of an idea, especially for young children who don't understand how their bodies work.
That doesn't seem super crazy though because ticks love warm, dark, vascular areas. My ped told me to check testicles, for example, for ticks (when I brought in my son due to a tick), so maybe at least the labia isn't completely out of the question.
There is actually an episode of House MD, where a young woman was bit by a tick in her vagina and she developed severe neurological symptoms. I remember I was terrified
The question about inducing labor with a vacuum made me think that someone heard about a vacuum used during a delivery and didn’t have a good idea of what that actually means. My brother was born via a vacuum assisted delivery when i was a teen and i had this mental picture of a vacuum cleaner being used on his head for many years. In fact, it’s more like a suction cup on babies head that can be used to help them get out of the birth canal a bit quicker, usually if they’re in distress (heart rate problems).
I work for a company that makes vacuum-assisted delivery equipment and ngl I had no idea of the specifics until I started working here- I knew it wasn't a literal vacuum cleaner but that was about the extent of my knowledge. I would bet a lot of people don't know very much about what VAD involves!
Another reason why this question might come up... Is Bollywood. One of the best Indian movies yet, called "3 Idiots", has a scene where a bunch of engineers modify an actual vacuum cleaner to work like a suction cup in an emergency. It (mostly) makes sense in the movie (given movie logic), but has unfortunately become the source of a few dumb questions/myths on the internet. It is a fantastic movie though, even for western audiences, if you want to watch something different.
With my first I was in labor for hours, then pushed for hours, they tried the vacuum extractor (which is actually pretty common) and still couldn't get her out, ended up using forceps (like big salad tongues clamped around her ears). She was very late, big, but everything turned out fine. The next 3 babies came out much quicker and easier.
Please, please, please, make a full video on endometriosis!!!! I am getting a full hysterectomy next month due to the damage endometriosis has done to my uterus and abdomen. I feel like more people need to be aware of how dangerous this condition can be. So many doctors I have met over the years were so dismissive of my pain. When my 5 month old was born there was so many lesions and scare tissue that my uterus was fused to most of my abdomen. A third surgeon had to come in to help. My csection took 3 hours and 10 minutes. The anesthetic wore off after two hours and I lost a lot of blood to the point that the pain medication I could take was limited. It has terrifying. So please 🙏 do a video on this to help with awareness. Thank you. Also sorry for the ridiculously long comment. I just wanted to explain why I think its so important.
Omg that sounds like an horrific experience. I'm glad you made it through it, but how incredibly dangerous. Both my girls have PCOS and both struggle with severe period pain. It's so infuriating when our pain gets dismissed or we're told that it's just what women have to deal with.

I've had endo for 12 years, and I do feel like awareness is crucial. Problem is so very little is known about endometriosis, that even from experts most "educational" videos only cover the general basics (assuming they don't include any misinformation). I really wish it was a disease that was taken more seriously, considering how common it is and how debilitating it can be. Obviously a hysterectomy is not a cure, but I hope yours provides noticeable positive results in lessening at least some of your more problematic symptoms.
Here is an interesting story, a librarian in AR where we can get fined and jailed for sexually explicit books, I got a new book in on Anatomy and Physiology. The chapter on sex and reproduction is about four pages and has NO pictures or illustrations!!! They want these kids to know nothing it's crazy. I remember when I was in high school in the 70s we passed condoms, diaphragms and iuds around the class and were free to ask anything. Now they are going to have a generation that doesn't know how babies are made/or prevention.
AFTER the Liberal welfare state and Feminism, with women able to use birth control or get an abortion AND the number of women CHOOSING to be single mothers has exploded. It's NOT that they don't know, girls don't care if they get pregnant because they are subsidized and supported while teenage fathers have to pay child support OR go to prison.
@@UrBasicGuy abstinence teaches nothing and does nothing for prevention. it leads to the highest rates of teenage pregnancy of any 'sex education'. the parents that are advocating for keeping children uneducated about their bodies will almost certainly not give them the information they need. knowing how bodies work and knowing all of the risks is the best way to keep a child safe from making irreversible mistakes or being taken advantage of by others, and help any fears or shame that may come with the changes they're going through. this should not be solely in the hands of uneducated and embarrassed parents.
Commenting on the cervix tears, I had a tiny 6 lb 0 oz baby, and I tore so bad SIDEWAYS that one of my labia minora was torn almost in half and the tear went all the way back and into my cervix! I came to the hospital in early labor, they gave me a ton of pitocin to speed things up because they said I had severe preeclampsia, and my son was born 6 hours later! I think the speed and him being my first is what caused such bad tearing.
That was my question lol. My friend had not dilated, her cervix just tore and she gave birth that way... I think she's gonna be in a lot of studies now.
I don't think it's the speed or him being your first that did that. I only have my experience but I got to the hospital at 10 pm my son was born at 10:32 and he was my first and only 😂 my doctor said I skipped the first two stages of labor.😮oh he was 8 pds 4 ounces.
The cockroach question reminded me of a woman on one of those medical mystery shows that was having constant orgasms because there were maggots living in her vagina. I don't know how true those shows are but that memory has lived deep within my brain for years unfortunately.
This actually reminds me of this story I read on some news website. This woman died because she, for some odd reason, wanted to put shrimps in her vagina. Idk why. I think one was pregnant or she put the eggs inside of her to push them out or something, but the vagina was so warm that she essentially gave birth to shrimps. Pediatrician here - one of the things we look for in babies with inconsolable crying is whether they might have a hair tourniquet where a stray hair somehow wrapped itself around a finger, toe, or penis and cuts off circulation causing pain, swelling, etc. I haven't heard of it prenatally, but it made me think if someone were unfortunate enough (and the pregnancy went long enough) to get a hair tourniquet before birth they might end up with something similar to amniotic band syndrome.
I know the bug question is horrifying to consider, but it's actually nice to know that someone else has the irrational phobia of bugs crawling up their vagina like I do. I don't completely know where the phobia stemmed from, as I've never had a situation where a bug was even near my crotch as far as I'm aware, but whenever I'm somewhere naked (such as the bathroom) and see a bug, my brain immediately worries about that bug crawling up my vagina. It's only with my vagina and none of my other holes, and my guess is that the phobia "logics" out that the vagina is the most vulnerable hole of mine. The anus is a tight right of muscles that's always closed and small things aren't really strong enough to force their way in, and the nose, mouth and ears have the advantage of being nearest to my most of my senses and easiest for my hands to react and reach for should a bug get close. My crotch usually only has touch to keep it aware if something foreign is too close to comfort.
I'm not a fan of spiders and one year, my uni accommodation had a bunch of spiders in the bathroom. I would usually do a spider check around before getting in the shower, but didn't think to check the top in the shower. While I was showering, a spider fell down besides me. I was too busy being terrified of it getting on me and trying to wash it down the drain for me to worry about it climbing up my vagina, but I fear that it may change in the future, so thanks
At rest, the vagina is a muscular structure that stays closed. It's not just a wide open tube that goes up your body. You have to exert some force to separate the walls, such as inserting a tampon. Most bugs are not going to be strong enough to do so. So it is very unlikely that any would go up there. And that would be if they could even get there. Between the other parts of your anatomy like the labia that help protect the actual vaginal opening.
Actually I just made a comment about this, the anus isnt as tight as youd think I suppose because I just saw a video that during a colonoscopy a lady bug was found in a mans rectum 💀 also to add to another comment here the vaginal walls do take some force to widen but it is still an opening. Both are horrifying ideas though exceedingly rare, so much so that they make the news when it happens

I have had the exact same fear of insects doing that. It's like, a common intrusive(?) thought I have, along with the fear that people around me are mind readers. I wonder if the insect thing is a common fear, but people just don't talk about it? How normal is this fear? (I also have an invasive fear that bugs, specifically bees, will fly in my ear and get trapped in it, even stinging the inside of my ear. I am terrified of this.)
Well, you're not alone with the fear of people being mind readers. I know it's irrational but when I don't feel comfortable, sometimes it can really flare up.
If I had to choose a super power, it's definitely mind reading. I would stage my own funeral just for that! I'd want to see who shows up and what's been said/processed. You're going to learn more about who loved you, your true friends, as well as those who thought less about you, even hated you. This is my fascination as I'm from a big family who has drama.
@@kirstynweinberg Actually, if I was a mind reader, I wouldn't put much stalk into everyone's thoughts so easily. One of the reasons I'm terrified of mind readers is because I suffer from intrusive thoughts, and I'd be terrified of anyone hearing them. So, if you can hear all thoughts, you would hear people's intrusive thoughts as well, which are very much things they don't want to do/don't want to believe. Of course, that's assuming that you'd be able to hear the intrusive thoughts in addition to their regular thoughts, but I definitely wouldn't put so much faith in my mind reading (in a hypothetical situation where I gain it) until I know if I'm also hearing people's intrusive thoughts. Also, sometimes people think things they don't mean when they're annoyed, angry, or otherwise upset, and I feel like having the power to mindread could potentially cause you to take what someone thinks in a moment of weakness to be what they believe. Of course, if your power works where you can only hear beliefs vs any thought, that wouldn't be a problem, but... again, you would have to determine that. Honestly, I think the best mind reading power would be the ability to know what someone else is FEELING-as long as you can also turn it off-because then you'd be able to see yourself someone's opinion on you; do they feel love? Hatred? Apathy? Stuff like that. Plus, I think it would be helpful in helping people feel better-you can see someone is anxious or upset and comfort them without being told. In the realm of mind reading and/or adjacent abilities, I think that one would be the best bet.
I also have a fear of bugs getting into my ears. It sucks when the wind blows my hair into my ear because I freak out thinking it’s a bug. And now to top it off I have a new insect fear thanks to this video!

I saw a video recently from Scishow about how scientists have been taking stem cells from period, and how those stem cells are better than the others previously found in adult humans, even beating the ones from the bone marrow, which was considered the golden standard in adult stem cells. So not only can you tell someone’s blood type from their period, but we could soon be healing alzhaimer and stroke after effects with our periods.
The vacuum one might not be that weird, actually. Vacuuming the house is one traditional way of inducing labor. Of course, just like regular walking, it'll only work if you were about to go into labor anyway. Maybe the thinking is that the rhythmic motion can help get the body started. It can't hurt to try, anyway, and if nothing else, it gives you something to do while you wait, and your floors will be cleaner in time for the baby (you won't have as much time for cleaning after).

Before I was put on birth control to regulate my cycle, that's how many pads I went through, but a normal cycle shouldn't. It's funny nasa had to go through it though. I sense a bunch of guys standing around asking each other, afraid to ask a woman.
I never counted how many pads I went through, but when I had periods I had to change the pad every hour on the dot. If I didn't, I bled through everything. My pad, underwear, pants, and whatever I was sitting on. Thankfully I had a few moments where it would slow down enough to wear a pad longer than an hour. But with my periods lasting up to 9 days or more, I definitely would go through packages of pads really fast.
@@ellerj641 that's the way I was. I couldn't make it through some classes. When I was put on birth control it helped so much. Teachers don't won't except you late for class everyday for 2 weeks. You have to explain yourself in front of class. I went through a lot too. It's so much better nowadays.
Okay Dr. Jones, I think I'm going to shock you more. When I was in nursing school, my clinical instructor told us that when he was a new nurse, a lady came into the ER. The staff had to catheterize her and when they opened her legs, maggots came out of her vagina. That horrified me, I'm still not 100% sure he wasn't trying to scare us, but he didn't seem the type to do so
I've read about a woman forgetting a tampon in there which became infected and she didn't notice because she was morbidly obese and couldn't see what was going on. Yikes.

Maggots in/on human bodies is surprisingly common 💀 the amount of emts and ER doctors I've heard talk about finding maggots in/on infected/dead tissue is shocking. It could certainly happen to the vulva and it wouldnt be a stretch to say maggots there could get into the vaginal canal
I, like other commenters, also think the seafood/fish question is a real thing… It’s not something that lasts more than a day after so it’s not the same as an infection odor. And in my experience, it’s not super potent either, just something you’d notice in cleaning the area
can't speak to seafood but my discharge is thicker and creamier when I've been consuming a lot of dairy, so I believe in it being possible. No worrying smell, just a change in texture/viscosity and opacity
I was watching one of those medical mystery shows once and there was a poor woman with terrible, horrible, constant body odor no matter how much she bathed or used deodorant. It was just fishy odor coming out of every pore. Turns out her body couldn't break down a certain amino acid in some foods, including seafood, and it was just coming out everywhere. It's possible that for some people, that same amino acid gets released in discharge after eating seafood? Like a super super minor version of what the lady had. The lady manages her condition with an altered diet btw.

I moved to Japan and when I gave birth to my daughter the birth set included a small wooden box to keep the umbilical cord once it fell off. Most people keep them as a keepsake. But they are just black and shriveled, I can’t imagine turning that into pretty jewelry.

I have a bizarre sort of gyno question I've been curious about for ages! Do they ever mistake menstrual fluid for blood at crime scenes? And is it easy to tell the difference?
There was an episode in forensic files where a woman was murdered and they found traces of blood in their shower making them believe that her roommate initially killed her and cleaned the blood out in the shower. However after a thorough investigation the roommate was proven innocent and the blood was probably her menstrual cycle.

There's just one word I can't think of - doesn't matter how simple or otherwise it is - that I want to use but can't think of, so I think of every related word I know, even words I would hardly ever use.
I had severe cervical tearing during my delivery. I was pushing but only dilated to two and my baby was in fetal distress. My on/gyn reached in and tried to push my cervix open, tearing it badly, then also did an episiotomy… 70+ stitches later i was finally in my room. I was 18. When my mom finally handed me a mirror and i could see what i looked like i cried and cried. I was black and blue, stitched internally and externally, swollen beyond belief, and terrified. I couldn’t have imagined that it could have looked like what it did. Years later i was diagnosed with EDS, and the fragility and the lack of integrity of my tissue, and all of the damage done, made more sense. It was a horrifying experience for me, for anyone, I would imagine.

TW Bugs, Body Horror While my room mate was studying to be a rad tech, she was training at the local VA. An obese, older man needed an X-ray but could barely walk let alone get onto a table. As they lifted him up, roaches came crawling out of the fold under his gut. This was actually one of many bug horror stories she told me. I think I would have run screaming from the hospital if I'd seen that.

I had PICA during one of my pregnancies, and I gotta tell ya: my brain has never confused me more. My main craving was for tobacco though, and I never understood why I wanted to deeply inhale towards my coworkers coming back from their smoke break. Truly made me feel like a crazy person.

For the blood type question... We tend to reject clotted samples, at least in my workplace, unless there's just no other way to gain access to the sample. Mostly, it needs to be able to be centrifuged to separate the plasma from the red cells and we use extremely small amounts (microlitres) to test against synthetic reagent.

I was so angry while TTC because Mucinex was not deemed safe for my asthma by my GP and it really sounded like this miracle fertility magic trick according to infertility forums. Luckily, I'm no longer here, but thank you so much for clarifying the science and data behind this.
In my experience a big problem is incorrect use, even after explaining how. For example, on the day of insemination, a woman says she has taken the likes of Mucinex twice daily for the whole month, except for yesterday and today because traveling is too hectic. Cue explanation how one dose before insemination will suffice. Next month... she has taken more frequently and increase the dose, but again, stop while travelling. In her own words, she "really wants it (the insemination) to work." It makes me sad; I have many stories such as this. I am hesitate to share any information at all on this subject because people invariably go too far and may hurt themselves. In my opinion, it is better to give a prescription for only two pills, refillable monthly if needed.
First of all: I love your videos and the fact that you provide us with correct information. Especially when the education system lacks in this department. I live in the Netherlands and I think most of our citizens have access to information and care that we need when it comes to this. Our healthcare system is pretty good, but I know that this is not the case in every country in the world. I would love a video where you react to something like: things no one told me about pregnancy/giving birth/postpartum. I don't know if you've already done something like this. I gave birth to my daughter in 2017 and there were things I experienced that I didn't know about. Especially about giving birth and postpartum. I thought I knew everything and yes, I didn't experience many things that I already know about. But still, there were things I didn't know. An example of something I didn't know: the shaking while being in labor. Something else was the vertical line on my belly.
My unexpected experience was the shaking after labor. I was shaking so bad right after my youngest was born that I didn't want to hold her for fear of dropping her. Someone held her to my chest and kept her safe. I was in shock became she was okay, healthy and screaming to the world. My previous baby had not been, so I had emotionally prepared for all other situations except having a healthy little one.

I was so sure our third daughter would have it as well that I had prepared myself very well for that possibly. I hadn't processed much at all that she could be okay, so literal years of hopes and prayers fulfilled hit me all at once.

The insect question is so similar to my biggest fear. I can’t sleep naked because I worry about spiders. The myth about swallowing spiders while sleeping stuck with me. If they crawl in you mouth or nose, I figured they’d probably craw in other places too😅
Oh i have an irrational fear of flies/mozzies flying up any of my holes 'down there'. I told my mum that I hate hate hate using the loo or showering when there is a fly or mozzies in the bathroom. She thought I was crazy 😂
If someome really wants to make a keepsake out of their baby's umbilical cord and make it into jewelry like a bracelet or something for some reason, they should first completely dry it out, and then arrange it in a (probably silicone) jewelry mold and completely set it in epoxy resin to make the bracelet, or whatever other kind of jewelry it was they wanted to make it into. They can even add mica or colorant or gold foil or dried flowers, etc to the resin if they wanted it to be sparkly or colorful or extra decorated. 🤷♀️ Have fun crafting, I guess! If your own body made it, I guess it's technially yours to do with as you wish, and maybe it'll be the next hippie mama trend or something. 😅 More power to the people who want to preserve such a special item and be able to keep it forever as a sweet memory to pass on to their loved ones, I suppose. If Victorian hair jewelry was a thing for a while, why not umbilical cord bracelets or pendants? 😂👍 Whatever floats your boat, as long as you're making sure to keep everything sanitary. I don't have a huge amount of experience crafting with epoxy yet, so you might want to use some sort of mold release spray to coat the mold to help with removing the finished piece(s) easier, but again, I'm still a novice crafter, so this is just my best bet with my limited amount of experience. You might have better luck just taking smaller pieces of the umbilical cord and making it into pendants or earrings or smaller finished pieces that can be set into rings, etc than you would with making a big bangle bracelet or something like that. But if people are already out there making breast milk into keepsake epoxy jewelry, then you should be able to make umbilical cord jewelry even easier, I'd imagine.
resin was my first thought too. Make sure to do some test runs first with nothing in them but whatever decoration you want, so you can be sure you won't waste the cord haha, pretty irreplaceable. I think there's a tutorial on making shed snake skin into epoxy jewelry, I imagine that'd be a decent place to start just for how to put something organic in resin

Laughed so hard at the Sally Ride story. Reminds me of another where a guy was asked to pick up a *specific* box of tampons for his partner from home (ie: the right ones) when going to drop off a bunch of stuff but couldn't find them, so instead when he arrived he said "I couldn't find them but don't worry I bought you some at the shop, I got you the smallest ones cause I know you're really small". They were ... inadequate for the required task. 😹 Now I'm also wondering if he thought he was being affirming buying the smallest ones, thinking that's just what you do to be polite, that it must be like if a woman had brought him extra large condoms when coming to hook up and saying she didn't think any smaller size would fit him, or like not saying something that could be interpreted as rude about a girl's appearance by implying she didn't have the absolute smallest "vagina size" tampons were made for. 😹😹😹😹 I always find it so amusing so many guys who talk about how big they are forget that vaginas do lubricate and expand and that something the size of a baby's head can pass through there, which... well I've personally never seen a d*ck that size . My friend from school days told me a gross thing. When our babies were born it was common practice to do an episiotomy, and we all had stitches. Prior to her first follow up visit, she developed a serious odor from her vagina. Into her doctor for the exam and the Dr found a roll of gauze in her vagina that had been inserted prior to being stitched. That roll of gauze was inside her for weeks.
Edit: I will put on bold the actual question because I made like a thesis here, but let it here if you want to know some of my background previous to the question itself I have great parents and they always supported me on sex ed, they explained me at certain ages certaint things (one of them being, like at 12 yo, if you are being harm or if anyone do something to you that harm you (moreless, don't remember and I speak spanish so I'm translating too) just know that you can count on me or your mom (divorced but always there for me as parents) to tell us. Please don't hide anything, if you get pregnant just talkt to us, we want to help you" or something like that, if it wasn't like that I fortunately remember it as an amazing thing even though I don't remember the exacts words, I remember more in details in spanish but it was a long time ago, I'm 30. And seeing this as a 30yo blows my mind. We are not a religious country and I wasn't raised in a religious house, so that was in my favor in regards to sex ed. BUT I WENT TO CATHOLIC SCHOOL (but liberal, it was kind of I had like religious classes but without grades, I just had to attend them, but they accepted and accept people who don't believe in god or are agnostics or whatever, and I'm amazed because I must be the only human in earth that had moreless healty sex ed on a cath school (ok, obviously with the limitations of my time and actually I was expelled because I fell in love with a female teacher so not so good after all...that fucking high school principal was the worst, then they fortunately changed and he went to hell lol kidding, just another human being took his place. Or a HUMAN BEING, period, took his place. It was the worst thing ever, one of my traumatic events in my life. But I stop rambling now, Just gratefull I could count on my parents and at some point on my school...then I grew up and I started to have feelings and I was the devil because it was a female. Damn. This was 16 years ago and I still can remember almost everything. And the things I have it blurred it out I know is my brain protecting me. Sorry the rambling, I can't help it. I try to be gratefull for the sex ed but at the same time I can't believe my history there. A little of context here, I was always an ob/gyn fan. Since I was very very little I had questions and I even had some philosopical wisdom (children have the most amazing brains and insights and I love them). I always asked myself why women had to have a baby lying in their backs. It was like... I understood gravity before anyyyy kind of physics classes. And I even remember promising myself I wasn't going to push just because a doctor told me to. I understood that my body was capable of doing that on its own as it's capable to poop or urinate. I didn't understand and I know it was wrong at the age of SIX moreless. I swore to never had childlren and I had labor fear like until 12 when I started to watch births on youtube and ironically it was when I saw the most horrible births ever that I lost my fear to it and I started kind of fight against obstetric violence since that age. And then when... i didn't want children but for other reasons, not for the process itself. I lost my fears at that age. I remember being a child like I LOVE PREGNANCY but just if I can' be pregnant forever, I don't want to be told to push and I don't want to push it out. Like I had a lot of fear and rejection to the birth itself. And then as I grew up I WENT TO MIDWFERY SCHOOL. I had to drop out this year because of my mental health and other issues. Well, just to let you know I knew what kegel ex was at 15 yo LOL I laughed a lot with your hub googling that. *Ok, back to the QUESTION, just focus Inés, don't start to rambling. I asked my mother one day, as a kid, don't know exactly the age but I think 7 or 8 if I could get pregnant by A DOG!!!! Yeah. BY A DOG. I didn't understand a thing and I swear I don't remember picturing myself with a dog, I AM NOT A ZOOPHILIC, I think it was more like I was scared a dog jumped me? By that reasoning my dog impregnated me a lot of times lol. And male dogs just hump your leg, oh I rememeberd my dog doing that (he past away last year, RIP my baby) when he wasn't fixed and it was a puppy lol. You don't go directly to NSFW details when your child is 6. People are crazy when they reject sex ed because they think people will teach children sex ed like it was a porn movie* People are crazy. On the subject of "things sick in vagina/uterus", I once (unknowingly) had the eraser butt of a pencil stuck in my cervix. (I was young, stupid, and desperate). I have no idea how long it was sick up there, but it was at least several months, possibly up to a year. It came out one day in the bath. 😂

Just.. it's kind of a painful reminder of how people think about anyone who has an STD for people like me who suffered through being given one by a grown adult at the age of 2, (and suffered through a lot of shame knowing I had had that in my past), or those who contract one while being born because of their mother having one, or the many other ways you can end up with one without choosing to have unprotected sex. People see anyone with an STD and think that they're dirty and irresponsible. To be clear, I don't even think that people who have unprotected sex should have the stigma of being dirty and irresponsible, (we don't know their life, and we don't know what happened, and people make mistakes), but that's how it is unfortunately. I normally don't get easily triggered, I honestly can't even explain why this hit me so hard, but for some reason, (maybe I'm having an extra emotional day), this got to me. I think I just respect your opinion so much, and so many other people respect your opinion that I kind of got upset that some people would use that to confirm their biases, and some people like me would think you also think that way. I don't think you actually do, you certainly have never seemed to before.

Just exploring from "reasonable math"... The recommended usage is to change every 8 hours (at least) so 3 X a day as a minimum... MOST women prefer to just swap out at bathroom breaks, so double "to be sure" and for 6 per day at 5 days (average work-week) you get 30... should suffice... Though obviously a question toward her "usual duration" should be posed somewhere... to be relatively sure)
HOWEVER... This is also NASA, and she is also THE FIRST EVER woman into space, let alone the first to likely have a menstrual cycle... IN ZERO-G... AND we just don't entirely know how the body 100% deals with Zero-G... The nature of pioneering, such as it is, we CAN'T know "for sure"...
The "most precise" effort might be to ask her approximately when to expect the period-week... AND prepare for a "clotting issue" for the entire remainder of the trip... SO 6 per day from her expected "day 1" through the rest of the trip...
OR just double or triple the number, and assurances that "we at NASA" don't discriminate or try to be difficult for getting along with women in the program. OK, RE: glitter as lube, I will *NEVER EVER EVEVER* forget the submission I read in one of those "embarrassing things that have happened to me!" columns from a magazine back in the day when we all read multiple, physical, magazines. This woman had her gyno appointment and so grabbed the washcloth by her sink, got it wet, and did a quick clean-up instead of taking a shower. Then at the appointment, her doctor was like "you didn't have to do so much prep for me you know!" and she was like "???" thinking that she had done the bare minimum. When she got home she realized it was the washcloth she had used to take her makeup off the night before, and she had spread tons of sparkles and glitter all over her bits before showing up. I hope someone else remembers this anecdote and that it affected them as much as me!

Hey doc! I was 43 1/2 weeks pregnant when I gave birth to my second child. When my water broke there were clumps of baby hairs coming from my hooha. I panicked because my first thought was that my babies head was crowning and I was wiping away her hair on her head with the rag. 😂😂😂 that obviously wasn’t the case at all, as I gave birth to her 4 hours later so she was nowhere near crowning at the time. 😂 She had long hair to the base of her neck except the top of her head was thinning so she looked like she had a skullet. The doctor told me that perhaps her head was rubbing so low for so long that her hair began to shed. She said she’s never seen that before and we all laughed uncomfortably at my mystery baby. Regardless, she was so freaking cute with the biggest eyes and turned up nose and big pouty lips.
The Midwife of my friend told her, that it is quite common, that babys shed there after around 2 weeks. Usually, humans are around 42 weeks pregnant, so that lines up...

Relatively uncommon. The National Center for Health Statistics has stats on various aspects (preterm, low birthweight, Mother's age, etc.)
and the CDC has information on a lot of basic pregnancy information.
While the OB was performing the episiotomy, he snipped my daughter's hair while she was crowning. It was stuck to her shoulder when they gave her to me lol. That was a sight.

So when I was 7, I lived in a home with cockroaches and I remember one time I woke up and there was cockroach crawling in my underwear. I obviously got it out but it did scare me to think that at least one of them crawled in me. Thankfully I have never had an insect up there and I don’t have to deal with cockroaches anymore. TMI story time: When I was in like 2nd grade, I went with a friend to her camping cabin and we ran around in the field for a few hours. We get back to the house and we check each other for ticks (her mom taught her that she needed to do so after playing out there and how to properly remove them). Anyways, we find a few on our legs, remove them and then go inside for a snack & movie. We look at each other and question if a tick could have made its way inside our vaginas (before the time of smart phones & google) and proceed to check ourselves. Thinking a bug could get into the vagina isn't that weird of an idea, especially for young children who don't understand how their bodies work.
That doesn't seem super crazy though because ticks love warm, dark, vascular areas. My ped told me to check testicles, for example, for ticks (when I brought in my son due to a tick), so maybe at least the labia isn't completely out of the question.

The question about inducing labor with a vacuum made me think that someone heard about a vacuum used during a delivery and didn’t have a good idea of what that actually means. My brother was born via a vacuum assisted delivery when i was a teen and i had this mental picture of a vacuum cleaner being used on his head for many years. In fact, it’s more like a suction cup on babies head that can be used to help them get out of the birth canal a bit quicker, usually if they’re in distress (heart rate problems).
I work for a company that makes vacuum-assisted delivery equipment and ngl I had no idea of the specifics until I started working here- I knew it wasn't a literal vacuum cleaner but that was about the extent of my knowledge. I would bet a lot of people don't know very much about what VAD involves!
Another reason why this question might come up... Is Bollywood. One of the best Indian movies yet, called "3 Idiots", has a scene where a bunch of engineers modify an actual vacuum cleaner to work like a suction cup in an emergency. It (mostly) makes sense in the movie (given movie logic), but has unfortunately become the source of a few dumb questions/myths on the internet. It is a fantastic movie though, even for western audiences, if you want to watch something different.
With my first I was in labor for hours, then pushed for hours, they tried the vacuum extractor (which is actually pretty common) and still couldn't get her out, ended up using forceps (like big salad tongues clamped around her ears). She was very late, big, but everything turned out fine. The next 3 babies came out much quicker and easier.
Please, please, please, make a full video on endometriosis!!!! I am getting a full hysterectomy next month due to the damage endometriosis has done to my uterus and abdomen. I feel like more people need to be aware of how dangerous this condition can be. So many doctors I have met over the years were so dismissive of my pain. When my 5 month old was born there was so many lesions and scare tissue that my uterus was fused to most of my abdomen. A third surgeon had to come in to help. My csection took 3 hours and 10 minutes. The anesthetic wore off after two hours and I lost a lot of blood to the point that the pain medication I could take was limited. It has terrifying. So please 🙏 do a video on this to help with awareness. Thank you. Also sorry for the ridiculously long comment. I just wanted to explain why I think its so important.

I've had endo for 12 years, and I do feel like awareness is crucial. Problem is so very little is known about endometriosis, that even from experts most "educational" videos only cover the general basics (assuming they don't include any misinformation).
I really wish it was a disease that was taken more seriously, considering how common it is and how debilitating it can be.
Obviously a hysterectomy is not a cure, but I hope yours provides noticeable positive results in lessening at least some of your more problematic symptoms.
Here is an interesting story, a librarian in AR where we can get fined and jailed for sexually explicit books, I got a new book in on Anatomy and Physiology. The chapter on sex and reproduction is about four pages and has NO pictures or illustrations!!! They want these kids to know nothing it's crazy. I remember when I was in high school in the 70s we passed condoms, diaphragms and iuds around the class and were free to ask anything. Now they are going to have a generation that doesn't know how babies are made/or prevention.

Commenting on the cervix tears, I had a tiny 6 lb 0 oz baby, and I tore so bad SIDEWAYS that one of my labia minora was torn almost in half and the tear went all the way back and into my cervix! I came to the hospital in early labor, they gave me a ton of pitocin to speed things up because they said I had severe preeclampsia, and my son was born 6 hours later! I think the speed and him being my first is what caused such bad tearing.
That was my question lol. My friend had not dilated, her cervix just tore and she gave birth that way... I think she's gonna be in a lot of studies now.

Pediatrician here - one of the things we look for in babies with inconsolable crying is whether they might have a hair tourniquet where a stray hair somehow wrapped itself around a finger, toe, or penis and cuts off circulation causing pain, swelling, etc. I haven't heard of it prenatally, but it made me think if someone were unfortunate enough (and the pregnancy went long enough) to get a hair tourniquet before birth they might end up with something similar to amniotic band syndrome.
Almost lost a toe from a hair. Being a redhead, it was hard to find, so they told me.
I know the bug question is horrifying to consider, but it's actually nice to know that someone else has the irrational phobia of bugs crawling up their vagina like I do. I don't completely know where the phobia stemmed from, as I've never had a situation where a bug was even near my crotch as far as I'm aware, but whenever I'm somewhere naked (such as the bathroom) and see a bug, my brain immediately worries about that bug crawling up my vagina.
It's only with my vagina and none of my other holes, and my guess is that the phobia "logics" out that the vagina is the most vulnerable hole of mine. The anus is a tight right of muscles that's always closed and small things aren't really strong enough to force their way in, and the nose, mouth and ears have the advantage of being nearest to my most of my senses and easiest for my hands to react and reach for should a bug get close. My crotch usually only has touch to keep it aware if something foreign is too close to comfort.
I'm not a fan of spiders and one year, my uni accommodation had a bunch of spiders in the bathroom. I would usually do a spider check around before getting in the shower, but didn't think to check the top in the shower. While I was showering, a spider fell down besides me. I was too busy being terrified of it getting on me and trying to wash it down the drain for me to worry about it climbing up my vagina, but I fear that it may change in the future, so thanks

At rest, the vagina is a muscular structure that stays closed. It's not just a wide open tube that goes up your body. You have to exert some force to separate the walls, such as inserting a tampon. Most bugs are not going to be strong enough to do so. So it is very unlikely that any would go up there. And that would be if they could even get there. Between the other parts of your anatomy like the labia that help protect the actual vaginal opening.

I have had the exact same fear of insects doing that. It's like, a common intrusive(?) thought I have, along with the fear that people around me are mind readers. I wonder if the insect thing is a common fear, but people just don't talk about it? How normal is this fear? (I also have an invasive fear that bugs, specifically bees, will fly in my ear and get trapped in it, even stinging the inside of my ear. I am terrified of this.)
Well, you're not alone with the fear of people being mind readers. I know it's irrational but when I don't feel comfortable, sometimes it can really flare up.
If I had to choose a super power, it's definitely mind reading. I would stage my own funeral just for that! I'd want to see who shows up and what's been said/processed.

One of the reasons I'm terrified of mind readers is because I suffer from intrusive thoughts, and I'd be terrified of anyone hearing them. So, if you can hear all thoughts, you would hear people's intrusive thoughts as well, which are very much things they don't want to do/don't want to believe. Of course, that's assuming that you'd be able to hear the intrusive thoughts in addition to their regular thoughts, but I definitely wouldn't put so much faith in my mind reading (in a hypothetical situation where I gain it) until I know if I'm also hearing people's intrusive thoughts. Also, sometimes people think things they don't mean when they're annoyed, angry, or otherwise upset, and I feel like having the power to mindread could potentially cause you to take what someone thinks in a moment of weakness to be what they believe. Of course, if your power works where you can only hear beliefs vs any thought, that wouldn't be a problem, but... again, you would have to determine that. Honestly, I think the best mind reading power would be the ability to know what someone else is FEELING-as long as you can also turn it off-because then you'd be able to see yourself someone's opinion on you; do they feel love? Hatred? Apathy? Stuff like that. Plus, I think it would be helpful in helping people feel better-you can see someone is anxious or upset and comfort them without being told. In the realm of mind reading and/or adjacent abilities, I think that one would be the best bet.

The vacuum one might not be that weird, actually. Vacuuming the house is one traditional way of inducing labor. Of course, just like regular walking, it'll only work if you were about to go into labor anyway. Maybe the thinking is that the rhythmic motion can help get the body started. It can't hurt to try, anyway, and if nothing else, it gives you something to do while you wait, and your floors will be cleaner in time for the baby (you won't have as much time for cleaning after).

Before I was put on birth control to regulate my cycle, that's how many pads I went through, but a normal cycle shouldn't. It's funny nasa had to go through it though. I sense a bunch of guys standing around asking each other, afraid to ask a woman.
I never counted how many pads I went through, but when I had periods I had to change the pad every hour on the dot. If I didn't, I bled through everything. My pad, underwear, pants, and whatever I was sitting on. Thankfully I had a few moments where it would slow down enough to wear a pad longer than an hour. But with my periods lasting up to 9 days or more, I definitely would go through packages of pads really fast.

Okay Dr. Jones, I think I'm going to shock you more. When I was in nursing school, my clinical instructor told us that when he was a new nurse, a lady came into the ER. The staff had to catheterize her and when they opened her legs, maggots came out of her vagina. That horrified me, I'm still not 100% sure he wasn't trying to scare us, but he didn't seem the type to do so

I was watching one of those medical mystery shows once and there was a poor woman with terrible, horrible, constant body odor no matter how much she bathed or used deodorant. It was just fishy odor coming out of every pore. Turns out her body couldn't break down a certain amino acid in some foods, including seafood, and it was just coming out everywhere. It's possible that for some people, that same amino acid gets released in discharge after eating seafood? Like a super super minor version of what the lady had.

I moved to Japan and when I gave birth to my daughter the birth set included a small wooden box to keep the umbilical cord once it fell off. Most people keep them as a keepsake. But they are just black and shriveled, I can’t imagine turning that into pretty jewelry.

I have a bizarre sort of gyno question I've been curious about for ages! Do they ever mistake menstrual fluid for blood at crime scenes? And is it easy to tell the difference?
There was an episode in forensic files where a woman was murdered and they found traces of blood in their shower making them believe that her roommate initially killed her and cleaned the blood out in the shower. However after a thorough investigation the roommate was proven innocent and the blood was probably her menstrual cycle.

I had severe cervical tearing during my delivery. I was pushing but only dilated to two and my baby was in fetal distress. My on/gyn reached in and tried to push my cervix open, tearing it badly, then also did an episiotomy… 70+ stitches later i was finally in my room. I was 18. When my mom finally handed me a mirror and i could see what i looked like i cried and cried. I was black and blue, stitched internally and externally, swollen beyond belief, and terrified. I couldn’t have imagined that it could have looked like what it did. Years later i was diagnosed with EDS, and the fragility and the lack of integrity of my tissue, and all of the damage done, made more sense. It was a horrifying experience for me, for anyone, I would imagine.

For the blood type question... We tend to reject clotted samples, at least in my workplace, unless there's just no other way to gain access to the sample. Mostly, it needs to be able to be centrifuged to separate the plasma from the red cells and we use extremely small amounts (microlitres) to test against synthetic reagent.

In my experience a big problem is incorrect use, even after explaining how. For example, on the day of insemination, a woman says she has taken the likes of Mucinex twice daily for the whole month, except for yesterday and today because traveling is too hectic. Cue explanation how one dose before insemination will suffice. Next month... she has taken more frequently and increase the dose, but again, stop while travelling. In her own words, she "really wants it (the insemination) to work." It makes me sad; I have many stories such as this. I am hesitate to share any information at all on this subject because people invariably go too far and may hurt themselves. In my opinion, it is better to give a prescription for only two pills, refillable monthly if needed.

I live in the Netherlands and I think most of our citizens have access to information and care that we need when it comes to this. Our healthcare system is pretty good, but I know that this is not the case in every country in the world.
I would love a video where you react to something like: things no one told me about pregnancy/giving birth/postpartum. I don't know if you've already done something like this.
I gave birth to my daughter in 2017 and there were things I experienced that I didn't know about. Especially about giving birth and postpartum. I thought I knew everything and yes, I didn't experience many things that I already know about. But still, there were things I didn't know. An example of something I didn't know: the shaking while being in labor. Something else was the vertical line on my belly.
My unexpected experience was the shaking after labor.
I was shaking so bad right after my youngest was born that I didn't want to hold her for fear of dropping her. Someone held her to my chest and kept her safe.
I was in shock became she was okay, healthy and screaming to the world. My previous baby had not been, so I had emotionally prepared for all other situations except having a healthy little one.

My second daughter was born with a genetic terminal condition that I carry. I was so sure our third daughter would have it as well that I had prepared myself very well for that possibly. The insect question is so similar to my biggest fear. I can’t sleep naked because I worry about spiders. The myth about swallowing spiders while sleeping stuck with me. If they crawl in you mouth or nose, I figured they’d probably craw in other places too😅
Oh i have an irrational fear of flies/mozzies flying up any of my holes 'down there'. I told my mum that I hate hate hate using the loo or showering when there is a fly or mozzies in the bathroom. She thought I was crazy 😂

If someome really wants to make a keepsake out of their baby's umbilical cord and make it into jewelry like a bracelet or something for some reason, they should first completely dry it out, and then arrange it in a (probably silicone) jewelry mold and completely set it in epoxy resin to make the bracelet, or whatever other kind of jewelry it was they wanted to make it into. They can even add mica or colorant or gold foil or dried flowers, etc to the resin if they wanted it to be sparkly or colorful or extra decorated. 🤷♀️ Have fun crafting, I guess! If your own body made it, I guess it's technially yours to do with as you wish, and maybe it'll be the next hippie mama trend or something. 😅 More power to the people who want to preserve such a special item and be able to keep it forever as a sweet memory to pass on to their loved ones, I suppose. If Victorian hair jewelry was a thing for a while, why not umbilical cord bracelets or pendants? 😂👍 Whatever floats your boat, as long as you're making sure to keep everything sanitary. I don't have a huge amount of experience crafting with epoxy yet, so you might want to use some sort of mold release spray to coat the mold to help with removing the finished piece(s) easier, but again, I'm still a novice crafter, so this is just my best bet with my limited amount of experience. You might have better luck just taking smaller pieces of the umbilical cord and making it into pendants or earrings or smaller finished pieces that can be set into rings, etc than you would with making a big bangle bracelet or something like that. But if people are already out there making breast milk into keepsake epoxy jewelry, then you should be able to make umbilical cord jewelry even easier, I'd imagine.
resin was my first thought too. Make sure to do some test runs first with nothing in them but whatever decoration you want, so you can be sure you won't waste the cord haha, pretty irreplaceable. I think there's a tutorial on making shed snake skin into epoxy jewelry, I imagine that'd be a decent place to start just for how to put something organic in resin

Laughed so hard at the Sally Ride story. Reminds me of another where a guy was asked to pick up a *specific* box of tampons for his partner from home (ie: the right ones) when going to drop off a bunch of stuff but couldn't find them, so instead when he arrived he said "I couldn't find them but don't worry I bought you some at the shop, I got you the smallest ones cause I know you're really small".
They were ... inadequate for the required task. 😹 Now I'm also wondering if he thought he was being affirming buying the smallest ones, thinking that's just what you do to be polite, that it must be like if a woman had brought him extra large condoms when coming to hook up and saying she didn't think any smaller size would fit him, or like not saying something that could be interpreted as rude about a girl's appearance by implying she didn't have the absolute smallest "vagina size" tampons were made for. 😹😹😹😹
I always find it so amusing so many guys who talk about how big they are forget that vaginas do lubricate and expand and that something the size of a baby's head can pass through there, which... well I've personally never seen a d*ck that size .

My friend from school days told me a gross thing. When our babies were born it was common practice to do an episiotomy, and we all had stitches. Prior to her first follow up visit, she developed a serious odor from her vagina. Into her doctor for the exam and the Dr found a roll of gauze in her vagina that had been inserted prior to being stitched. That roll of gauze was inside her for weeks.
This is why we do counts during all procedures now.

I have great parents and they always supported me on sex ed, they explained me at certain ages certaint things (one of them being, like at 12 yo, if you are being harm or if anyone do something to you that harm you (moreless, don't remember and I speak spanish so I'm translating too) just know that you can count on me or your mom (divorced but always there for me as parents) to tell us. Please don't hide anything, if you get pregnant just talkt to us, we want to help you" or something like that, if it wasn't like that I fortunately remember it as an amazing thing even though I don't remember the exacts words, I remember more in details in spanish but it was a long time ago, I'm 30. And seeing this as a 30yo blows my mind. We are not a religious country and I wasn't raised in a religious house, so that was in my favor in regards to sex ed. BUT I WENT TO CATHOLIC SCHOOL (but liberal, it was kind of I had like religious classes but without grades, I just had to attend them, but they accepted and accept people who don't believe in god or are agnostics or whatever, and I'm amazed because I must be the only human in earth that had moreless healty sex ed on a cath school (ok, obviously with the limitations of my time and actually I was expelled because I fell in love with a female teacher so not so good after all...that fucking high school principal was the worst, then they fortunately changed and he went to hell lol kidding, just another human being took his place. Or a HUMAN BEING, period, took his place. It was the worst thing ever, one of my traumatic events in my life. But I stop rambling now, Just gratefull I could count on my parents and at some point on my school...then I grew up and I started to have feelings and I was the devil because it was a female. Damn. This was 16 years ago and I still can remember almost everything. And the things I have it blurred it out I know is my brain protecting me.

A little of context here, I was always an ob/gyn fan. Since I was very very little I had questions and I even had some philosopical wisdom (children have the most amazing brains and insights and I love them). I always asked myself why women had to have a baby lying in their backs. It was like... I understood gravity before anyyyy kind of physics classes. And I even remember promising myself I wasn't going to push just because a doctor told me to. I understood that my body was capable of doing that on its own as it's capable to poop or urinate. I didn't understand and I know it was wrong at the age of SIX moreless. I swore to never had childlren and I had labor fear like until 12 when I started to watch births on youtube and ironically it was when I saw the most horrible births ever that I lost my fear to it and I started kind of fight against obstetric violence since that age. And then when... i didn't want children but for other reasons, not for the process itself. I lost my fears at that age. I remember being a child like I LOVE PREGNANCY but just if I can' be pregnant forever, I don't want to be told to push and I don't want to push it out. Like I had a lot of fear and rejection to the birth itself. And then as I grew up I WENT TO MIDWFERY SCHOOL. I had to drop out this year because of my mental health and other issues.
Well, just to let you know I knew what kegel ex was at 15 yo LOL I laughed a lot with your hub googling that. *Ok, back to the QUESTION, just focus Inés, don't start to rambling. I asked my mother one day, as a kid, don't know exactly the age but I think 7 or 8 if I could get pregnant by A DOG!!!! Yeah. BY A DOG. I didn't understand a thing and I swear I don't remember picturing myself with a dog, I AM NOT A ZOOPHILIC, I think it was more like I was scared a dog jumped me? By that reasoning my dog impregnated me a lot of times lol. And male dogs just hump your leg, oh I rememeberd my dog doing that (he past away last year, RIP my baby) when he wasn't fixed and it was a puppy lol. But my mom (and I don't remember her laughing but SHE MUST HAD LAUGHTED AT SOME POINT! she is a doc, a pediatrician and then she became a children psychiatrist...mmm maybe my question made her children psychiatrist LOL) told me about the dna differences in dogs and humans and my question was clear. I always watch your videos and love the way you approach tthis thing about children questions. You answer according as your child age and personallity and abilities to understand. You don't go directly to NSFW details when your child is 6. People are crazy when they reject sex ed because they think people will teach children sex ed like it was a porn movie*

On the subject of "things sick in vagina/uterus", I once (unknowingly) had the eraser butt of a pencil stuck in my cervix. (I was young, stupid, and desperate). I have no idea how long it was sick up there, but it was at least several months, possibly up to a year. It came out one day in the bath. 😂
