Once you escape with the chip in hand, the puzzle will no longer be there if you return. Therefore, it seems you must escape.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
After escaping with the chip, it reportedly reappears in Plant on Bot mode in the Green Keycard area(with one person saying it might be in the Purple Safe area). I saw a stream, and I can confirm that the chip does appear in Plant, but I have not seen from where it was picked up.

@@user-od1hh2hi8l once you get the mall chip then you go to plant and go in the purple safe the get that chip then escape with it go back to plant and use the yellow key on the cyan door get the glitch key then go to orange keycard room use the glitch key on the pillars with the orbs then go back to the safe room get the chip then insert it inside the computer that's all ik

Hey did yall know you can skip the mall quest and go straight to the ending just find a server who has done the mall quest then get the key insert it and you should get the badge and I'll tell you THERE WAS ALOT OF gliched keys and yw

@@Ignatious_Koopa u got to play mall chapter 10 book 1 and open the map and then go inside the vault and activate the robot and shoot it w the gun and It will drop a chip then escape the map go to plant 12 book1 and open the orange key card door and open the green keycard door and then use any key but don't use blue key on the the blue door and then there is a glitch key will appear after u use red, green, yellow, purple key on the door go to the orange keycard room and use the key on the pillars that has orbs and there is a chip in the green keycard room in the room w the purple safe under a table there's the chip take it on the pillar that is on the mid of the orange keycard room and use it on the computer and take the glitch key and put it in the thing beside the computer and u got the badge
