I just purchased my first industrial. Mine is a Jack machine A4. I purchased her in Atlanta, ga. At Fine Fabrics. $1000 must take it home yourself they don't offer shipping.
Thanks for sharing from Atlanta Ga USA my first time 💘 ly fabric 👀 next time Great job 💘 it.

So beautiful 🥺🥺 I am a beginner, I watch your video a lot ❤️ thank you for share with us ❤️

You are an amazing teacher, well done
Thank you!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your sewing techniques.
It's the illusion top for me 😍
You're so talented , love that dress
Thank you
really love the tip on sewing 2 rows of stitching on the zipper..I couldve used this advice in July... (Fashion show zipper broke :( ... Also I totally agree with the optional method for inserting the godet. It was very smart and less work to get that Lace hem so perfect. I noticed @8:25 your front and back skirt pieces look as if the naps were cut in opposite directions... not sure exactly, but just wanted to let your know.
Yes they were one was top down and the other was bottom down, which is usually totally fine but I didn’t take into account that velvet is a fabric with a pile that has direction. Lol. It’s ok for this bc it’s just a sample but for a client yes I would have recut that for sure.
I definitely like these kinds!!! Very informative!!!!
I’m glad you like it!
Great job Thank you for your video
Thanks for watching
I am fall for your videos! Go on please 😍
I just love your tutorials! ❤❤❤ You're awesome!

Rose gold, definitely.

Beautiful job sis!
i really liked the longform videos! and good luck finding an industrial machine!
Thank you! I think most of my videos will be like that from now on.
Been waiting for it!!!! It's here!!! Can't watch yet but I've already liked the video. I'll back!!!
I’ll be here waiting like 🤓
elle est magnifique, quel beau travail, j'adore
You did a fantastic job. Did you mean for the side pieces to be cut in a different position? I know with velveteen or stretchy velvet it is important to cut all the pieces going in the same direction so it all remains the same color nap.
ياسلام رائع جداااا 👍👍👍👍🌷💞

This is so beautiful
juki makes good industrial machines
I loved the dress, you're very talented. But the nap of the fabric on the sides is different than the front and back. It would have been so much nicer if the had the same nap.
Good😘😘 from indonesia
Thank you for watching
I have the Juki DDL8700. I purchased it 6 years ago on eBay from Sewing Gold for about $800 plus $100 shipping. I absolutely love and haven't ever gotten it serviced
I need to get one I keep putting it off
Rose gold for the bridesmaid dresses
Amazing
I love watching your videos! Another beautiful dress and your instructions are wonderful! I checked out the fabric site...great bargains in the clearance section! I have a black dress that is torn in places to repurpose...thinking a variation of this one would work great for it. I look forward to making some of your fancy dresses after I get my sewing area ready. I am just about done making my own dress makers mannequin. After that, I can start doing my sewing so much faster! I have an electric sewing machine sitting on a 1911 Treadle complete sewing machine in fancy cabinet below it. I am going to get the old gal working this week to play with but will use the electric for dresses and more intricate work. I can bet you need a very high scale sewing machine for what you do!
Yes! Wow 1911! I would love to see it! I am currently saving for an industrial machine!
@@MomthatSews You so need an industrial machine! What an adorable little baby running around in your video...loved seeing your sweetie. I will send you a picture of it to your email. I was given that Treadle as the lady had wanted to use it for her Grandmothers machine which didn't fit...little did she know...it was just a lever to move in order for that machine in it to hand turn beautifully which even has a bobbin winder on it. Back in those days, a bobbin winder was a separate attachment on many of these. It is a near mint machine but the cabinet survived a fire! Someone saved it so not much damage but what a story! I just got the belt to install so it will be running this week. I am using a rough second hand junky one right now but it sews well. LOL
I am very bad...I have an 1891 New Domestic treadle in my vacation home...LOL That one I will send a pic of the outstanding case as well...no fire and its in mint condition with every attachment made for it. Does embroidery, underbraiding, and all the stitches needed in those times.
@@MomthatSews I just sent pics to your email...of my three oldies...1891, 1911 and 1914...my daily use one is a plain one......no need to send a pic of that. LOL
Yes yes .... thanks for this !!!
Thanks for watching
Love this dress....I have a Juki 5550n industrial along with a domestic Singer. I love my Juki, the only think is that I wish I would have gotten a straight/ zigzag stitch matching. Mine only does straight. You can look at the FB marketplace if you’re looking for a used one. Otherwise, check a local sewing/ vacuum store :-)
I was looking at that one and the 8700
Mom that Sews that’s an awesome machine too. The difference between the two if I’m not mistaken is that the 8700 has a longer arm than the 5550.
Looking forward to more great tutorials from you as always
lacedwithculture the only difference between the two is one is made in China (8700) and one in Japan (5550) I have sewn on both and have the 5550.
The rose gold will make a pretty bridesmaids dress
I think so too!
Thanks for the video. I learnt a lot
Thanks for watching

Thank you ma...beautiful video, very detailed. My only request is please tell us the amounts of fabric used, so we can have an idea when making something similar....much love from Nigeria
M encanta verte siempre felicidades!!
You’re amazing! 👏
Thank you!
Thanks for the tutorials can you please give a little more details like showing the actual cutting of patterns and also the types of sticthes that you use please.
I love your videos keep up the good work and one question do you have a professional sewing machine
When you sew for people do you find that soooooo many people want things made for Walmart clearance prices? So many people have no idea of the time and effort that goes into creating a well made garment! Also how do you feel about doing alterations? 95%% of sewist hate it!!!
Right!!! It drives me crazy! Those clients I wont take, I dont need the headache. I do not currently offer alterations, sometimes it is easier and cheaper to just make a whole new dress, and I always let them know that.
Right
So true
@@thebitchenvixenkweenovcust6258 k
I thought I was the only one! It's so frustrating. One woman actually asked me to make her a dress because the clothing at the mall is too expensive. 🤦🏾♀️😒
I also HATE alterations so much. There is money to be made in alterations but I cannot stand trying to fix someone else's (mostly terrible) sewing job.
I've been waiting for you this inspiration
Loved it😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you for watching
SISSSSSSSS! I am over here cheering you on while watching. I am a beginner sewer and this just gave me so much HOPE.
You do have an etsy shop right?!?! A website? If you don't have a site, let me know. I can hook you up with 1. This dress alone can bring you in major bank!!!
Thank you for watching, I am currently working on my website.
@@MomthatSews You are V.E.R.Y. welcome. I can't wait for the site!!!

Hey! Welcome to the family!
Hi. I am new to your channel, but I am loving watching your video! I am learning so much! Thank you for the bread crumbs to follow! You are awesome!
Thanks for sharing ma'am
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful😘😘
Thank you!
Can't believe I just found your channel! Thanks for the amazing detail.
Quick question- For finishing the mesh, could you do whipping instead of rolling the hems? Also, did you just do a straight stitch on the rolled hem, or did you use a zigzag stitch?
Thanks!
Welcome to the family! Yes I think you could but I have personally never tried it. I did use a 4mm straight stitch.
Very beautiful, keep it up
Thank you!
But please ma can you teach us how you cut De down part
But please ma can you teach us how you cut De down part
@@Golenstar I have a video on my channel for how I cut the skirts czcams.com/video/bIfA7WdBb6E/video.html
I love what you are doing good job there please can you help how to measure before putting the cup?
I didn’t measure lol. I used the dressform for positioning.
I was going to ask same question, but as always the answer is always the same on youtube sewing tutorials "the dress form". So I keep asking, if you have a dress form smaller than the client, how do you get it right? The reply is always "pad it, to fit", now do you have to pad and take the pad off when you get clients with different body measurements? And what happen to the basic measurements taking and cutting to fit, like the good old days, before the craze of body forms? Does it mean that without body forms, you can't make a good dress? I have a body form, but I have just one, altering it to fit what ever client comes through my door is work on its own, so I really appreciate tutorials where basic measurements are taken, and garments make by such measurements, thereby anyone can understand and follow along. Great tutorial though.
The sewing pattern for this was actually made using a bodice block and skirt block drafted from measurements no dress form involved, she asked how I placed the cups, not how I drafted the pattern. If you look in any atelier they have a whole lined up of dress forms that’s bc they use dress forms! And I quite often see them padded, a dressform is as necessary as a sewing machine for dressmaking.
I can actually sew along with or without a dress form, just that I like to share good tutorials when I come across them on CZcams, and a lot of these people who want to sew along don't have dress forms, and here in Nigeria, dress forms cost almost as much as rent (if not much) lol. But I do understand your tutorials, I've been watching them all morning.
I love you video
Love your videos! I purchased my machine almost new from a person local to me however I was going to purchase from sewing machine plus, they will deliver to your door put together and you can make payments.
Yea I seen that but their shipping had me like 😳. I’m going to try to buy local. I have a minivan so I can go pick it up.
Mom that Sews i don’t even remember the shipping for some reason I thought it was free shipping when I looked. You will definitely be able to find one local. I see them all the time and will keep a lookout for you.
Parabéns pelo trabalho, muito lindoooooo - Simplesmente Perfeito! Ameiiiii
Beautiful, question. When you sew the bra cups did you sew it on top of the mesh or vice versa ?
Yes I did the hand sewing on the top of the mesh, I wasn't worried about the stitches showing because there is lace applique on top.
Gorgeous gown. You mentioned getting in touch about where to get the pattern from, could you tell me? I am making an illusion top prom gown and this pattern for the bodice is exactly what the girl wants.
