The heating is intended for the railswitches/points. Yes, they CAN freeze, but the biggest risk is big ice chunks getting stuck when the train shake whilst moving through the rail switch.
Also, in Sweden (and probably many other countris) it's electrically heated. A bit more efficient.

That eclipse looked so cool i wish I'd be able to see one in my lifetime
It looks cooler on film (video) then in reality, because our eyes deal with different lighting way better then cameras can, that's why we can still see in the dark while cameras need a flashlight and that's why we can still see the blue sky around the sun or something on the horizon und the sun (like sun in sky and you look at something beneath it) while cameras would either burn out (make the whole sky around the sun bright white) or everything beneath it on earth completely black if, depending on what brightness it's setting to. So if you were in the same spot the eclipse was filmed, the mountains wouldn't appear anywhere near as dark as in the video. Still cool for sure, but not what you're expecting.

Looks to me like it's most likely a badly deformed still born Amazon river dolphin if I had to guess. Maybe even partially starting to decompose? U can see the dorsal fin and tail fin in a couple of the pics and it's skin and complexion looks very much like the Amazon river dolphin. If it's not that then probably fake but I don't think it's fake
