As I drive out of Bangalore, I'll share some scenic shots of the highway and the beautiful countryside of Karnataka. I'll also discuss the best routes to take, tips for a comfortable drive, and interesting stops along the way. Expect some fun and spontaneous moments as we make our way towards Hampi.
--Virupaksha Temple
Our first stop is the iconic Virupaksha Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. As we explore this ancient temple, I'll highlight its intricate carvings, towering gopuram, and the fascinating rituals that still take place here. We'll also take a moment to admire the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape from the temple complex.
--Hampi Bazaar
Next, we'll stroll through the bustling Hampi Bazaar, once a thriving market area during the Vijayanagara period. I'll show you the remnants of this historical marketplace and share stories of its past glory. You'll get a sense of what life might have been like centuries ago in this vibrant trading hub.
--Sunset at Hemakuta Hill
From the bazaar, I'll make my way to Hemakuta Hill, a picturesque spot offering panoramic views of Hampi's ruins. This hill is dotted with numerous temples and shrines, each with its own unique charm. As the sun sets over the Tungabhadra River and the ancient ruins, I'll capture this magical moment on camera, giving you a glimpse of Hampi's serene beauty.
