    Cases with double protection like the OtterBox Commuter and Incipio Dual cases have been my case of choice for almost a decade.

    Got this case because my phone was coming in early and I’m clumsy so a case is a must. Kind of regret it now because even though it’s MagSafe compatible it doesn’t have the magnets like on the newer defender that I originally planned to get. I’ll use this for now but I’ve always had defenders.

      @@randomrazr I’m curious to see the size difference. I love the slim design and port cover of the commuter. But I’d really like a case with MagSafe. For now I have the commuter but may go for defender xt if it doesn’t doesn’t add too much bulk.

      @@randomrazr my defender xt is coming in Thursday I meant to say it was still wireless charging compatible but without the magnets. Biggest downfall for both imo is that it’s plastic instead of a rubber shell. But then that messes with MagSafe so, sacrifices.

    I’ve grown to love the iPhone 13 Pro max Otterbox Symmetry . That said, I have always liked the Commuter. I may pick one up down the line for a change…

  • @WZRDNI
    @WZRDNI Před 2 lety +1

    The case defeats the purpose if you have to add a layer of tape to protect the case from scratching the phone. The Otterbox defender pro xt offers more protection with a sleek design, MagSafe compatibility and you don’t have to add tape or anything to protect the phone from the case.

    • @Orlanzepol123
      @Orlanzepol123 Před rokem

      Why would they poke a hole 🕳️ through the rubber exposing the hard plastic? I love OtterBox but don’t like some of their cases . What I didn’t like about the Defender on my old IPhone 6s Plus phone was that the phone rested on hard plastic of the case and it also had a hard plastic rim. The the thick rubber covered the entire hard plastic. It should’ve been the other way around where the rubber covers your phone and hard plastic is the exterior . I won’t consider it for my newly purchased iPhone 13 if the design is the same.

  • @yahilamillion1565
    @yahilamillion1565 Před 2 lety +1

    I think, the better solution to cut the exposed circular plastic by sharp cutter. I do not know why it is there per design with no benefit.

    Just got mine for the s21 ultra. The rubbers do get warped real quick and hard to get separate then buy a whole case but i found a brand new one on best online for 22 bucks

    • @Orlanzepol123
      @Orlanzepol123 Před rokem

      I don’t think the rubber quality is as good as it once was . I use OtterBox and Incipio cases. I noticed the the inner soft TPU on my old case which is about 5 years is thick and rubbery but the newer cases which are the same style, the soft TPU feels more like cheap plastic. It doesn’t offer the same shock absorption as the old rubbery soft TPU. Maybe the old ones were actual rubber. Like many companies do, they’re using cheaper quality protect and so the quality isn’t the same.

  • @joshuahendrickson4854

    I've got the otter box defender case, and the simetry case. I'll be getting a commuter case on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to checking it out. I'm not a huge fan of magsafe charging because it is slow compared to using a portable power bank and a short USBC to lightning cable. I think the commuter case will work well with my 13 pro max one terabyte model.

    • @user-be6zi3vu4e
      @user-be6zi3vu4e Před rokem

      I'm deciding between the symmetry and commuter. I like the slimness of the symmetry but the double protection of the commuter. When you receive the commuter, could you look at the differences in weight and thickness, and your preference?

    • @joshuahendrickson4854
      @joshuahendrickson4854 Před rokem +1

      Hi Kay. I'm currently using the commuter case with my iPhone. I really like it. I like the defender case, but it is a bit tricky to get on and off because of the plastic frame thing that needs to be removed and put back on when you put on the case to your phone. I'd go with the commuter case. It is the medium of otter box cases in my opinion. The most protection would be the defender, but is tricky to put on and get off, next is the commuter which is easier to put on and take off, and last is the simetry case. I like the simetry, but it isn't as protective of your phone as the commuter. I'm totally blind, and it is nice to find phone cases that I don't need any help installing. Good luck with your next case purchase.
