  • “The Story of Holocaust Survivor Yona Amit” is told through Yona’s own testimony interwoven with animation. It is suitable for ages 6-8 (grades 1-2).
Yona Amit was born in 1938 in Fioma, Italy. Following the German occupation of the area, Yona's family fled Fiuma and were hidden in various hideouts by Righteous Among the Nations. The family members were eventually smuggled into Switzerland where they stayed until the end of the war.

I understand that it is dubbed into English because the target audience is children. However, many adults prefer audio of the original language and to read the subtitles, if needed.

It is both remarkable and a blessing that the Kiddush cup is still in the family's possession.

It's disappointing that Ontario Canada removed history from its schools, specifically the Holocaust. For those who know may we never forget. 🙏🏼
