Might have been the play here too. Primeape is faster than it's evo so the extra speed and pure power works better.
He could have put an eviolite on it. Crazy damage plus some boosted defense
I don't know if basculin was a shiny so I came to check and bro just spoiled about Primape
fun fact, kinesis isn't in the game either so K pokemon literally have 2 moves to use in this condition

There are 4 "z" moves, and 2 of them are not even functional in Scarlet and Violet.
So the lesson is NEVER choosing "z", "y", "q", "n", "k", or "j",; those letters won't do any good in moves nor abilities.

@NVFerost actually V-Create does work in SV despite nothing learning it they have even done it in a old video where Patterrz brought a Tera Fire Rayquaza and accidently gave it V-Create even thought it doesn't learn it anymore but when he clicked V-Create it still worked

I don't think I've ever seen these guys remove a hazard.
Needs a damaging move, if a Taunt pokemon comes in he's dead.
@@vitorsimoes8125Eh... in this kind of scenario, you can see if your opponent has access to Taunt or Magic Bounce since it's all based on the letters.

@@gametender1 if you go for a sweeper, i'd drop the sticky web for another attacking move. Even with how strong +2 Surging Strikes would be, it's probably not taking out a good resistance, plus there are quite a few water immunity abilities (some of which i can definitely see someone bringing)

Going physical Alolachu just for Pure Power is insane when you had options like Purifying Salt, Psychic Surge, Prism Armor, Primordial Sea, Prankster, etc. lol
Alolan Raichu has 85 base physical attack, which means 295 top at lvl 100; with pure power that's 590, which is more than the 526 mega Mewtwo x has. Photon geyser deals 100 base physical damage if the stat is higher than the special one with 100 accuracy. That set was insane, make it scarf or band and destroy!

Choose your starter but alphabetically. Your ability has to start with the letter after your starter, and your moves the same with each move after the previous move. If you get say arceus, your ability has to start with B so say beads of ruin. First move C so close combat, 2nd move D so dig, 3rd move E so explosion, 4th move F so final gambit. Also your ability has to start with the letter your starter name ends with, 1st move with the letter the ability ends with, 2nd move the letter the 1st move ends with, 3rd move the letter the 2nd ends with, and 4th move the letter the 3rd move ends with. Example being Arceus starter, ability swarm, 1st move mach punch, 2nd move headbutt, 3rd move triple kick, 4th move knock off. Both could be cool and really make you think

With that Vigoroth popping up, I had this image of a "Vessel of Ruin" Slaking with Victory Dance/V-Create/Volt Tackle/Vice Grip (STAB atleast) and that wouldve been such a strong hitter to be honest. Anyways, I just love these video's and I definitely wish I could join these haha

Out of the channels I’ve seen that do Pokémon challenges like these, I think I enjoy Luke’s editing the best. Small things like showing the pokemon teams each person has as they choose them, and zooming in on the health drops each turn

@@SiebayPlaysthree of them are sitnature moves (Arceus, Zarude, and Palafin), and the other was introduced in gen 8 (and I think it was the signature move of Drednaw at the time but more mons get it now)

I thought of a format based off on this idea + one i saw Pat and Shady do
You get to know the starting letter of the pokemon, other person get to BAN one of the pokemon (thats just like the one pat and shady did)
Here is my change
The pokemon that got banned gives your pokemon a single move in their letter or an ability in their letter
Giving a little bit more room for picking pokemon with letters that have bad abilities or if you arent careful with the banning you might end up banning a Dragonite and then give a swampert, speed boost, swords dance, substitute and drain punch
Not super broken but gives an extra layer to the picking and choosing side of the video

Once again, I'm reminded about Gamefreak removing moves for no reason.
The letters you want to avoid are K, Q, U, X, Y, and Z. None of them even have four functional moves to choose from. J and O have only five moves to choose from, but at least they're all pretty good. Jump Kick/Jet Punch/Jaw Lock/Jungle Healing with Justified is a competent physical attacker, while Overheat/Overdrive/Origin Pulse/Order Up with Orichalcum Pulse is a killer special attacker. Definitely don't double up on either.

I know S/V is the new game and it has new Pokémon but we’ve seen a lot of these utilized before and if we can see it with way more variety in sword and shield because there’s so many Pokémon that were in sword and shield that didn’t get moved to S/V
