if water body ocean doesn't show up for anyone, i had to update unreal from 5 to 5.2, edit>plugins>search 'water' and add both options, restart UE5, then click the fix option at the end of the sentence when the code error comes up, and restart again
thanks for the quick tutorial, i subbed
Cheers Onlyfriend, good troubleshooting!
Hey Sir it’s really mind-blowing idea. Thank you for the amazing video. I’ll keep watching your channel.

@Sir.unreal. may I ask you how to export something from unreal, for example, grass as the green screen? And use only that in some other program? I can't find that anywhere only how to import the green screen not how to export. Actually, I just need grass. please help. Thank you in advance
@@tanyasubaBg Hi Tanya! Hm so let me try to understand; Do you want to add grass behind a greenscreen in Unreal Engine and then export that scene to any other program?
If so you could for example add a cube and put a green image on it (Or perhaps Blue is better, as grass is green), and then spawn grass in-front of the blue/green cube with the framing that you want. Record your screen with "OBS" and then you would have a movie file with the grass in-front of the blue/green screen that you could manipulate in other software.
Another way to do it is by using the sequencer and exporting a movie file directly from Unreal Engine. I partly show how to use the sequencer here
czcams.com/video/OEfV3RRpmRE/video.html
Did I understand this correct? Or do you want to export the grass as a 3D model?
wow, you make it look very easy!!!!
It's not very hard! Give it a try :D
bro u made UNREAL ENGINE SO EASY!! (GREAT CONTENT PLZ KEEP POSTING THIS KIND OF CONTENT )
Cheers Steve, will do! :)
pretty neat
Cheers :)
Nice tutorial
Thank you Inspire!
nice and simple teaching, thank you very much sir.
You are most welcome Fabulous
Dude you are amazing, I

This video is litterally gold.
Thanks Soap =)
excellent
Thank you Mkforging!
This is What i need
I agree! ;)
you made a 10 years journey seems like 10 seconds. I thanks bro
Glad you liked it Dada!
This is awesome. Thanks for having no long intro and thanks for the brisk pace of info - was not a struggle to sit through unlike 90% of current tutorials out there. Really impressive. If you resist the trend to have a clickbait facial expression on your thumbnail I'll subscribe for a long time.
Thanks Niche, I am trying really hard to not put my face on there.... :D
Incredible! I am starting to use Unreal Engine now and this was super helpful.
Happy to hear Trent! Keep going
I can't even add the water without it crashing every single time HAHA. This is great for quick visuals nonetheless!
Dang! I'm a user of MidJourney and UE and never thought of doing this!
Great to hear Eyefisher!
beautiful video, intuitive and practical, first time trying UE5 and thanks to you I was able to combine something, is it possible to export the work to publish it on Instagram and various social networks? if yes, could you tell me how to do it?
That makes me so happy to hear Zena! The purpose of the video was for creators like you to take a first step into UE5.
Yes easiest is to press F11 for fullscreen and record your screen with for example “OBS” and export it as a small movie file which you can upload to any social media. Alternatively you can create a movie clip in “sequencer” and export it from there directly (CZcams “how to export from sequencer UE5” for this method)
Keep creating!
@@retrolightgames Thank you so much for answering me, I'll try as soon as I can, I can't wait to see more videos like this 🤩
What an ecxellent idea to make an environmentscene like this
Thank you Charles! I appreciate it
@@retrolightgames No problem. This feels like an unique approach and will be fun to test.
U need to have a course. You are a great teacher.
Cheers Pironace! Maybe one day :)
Thank you for the video, I learned some interesting things, what I didn't understand though, after building the scene the way I like it, how can I export it as a short video?
nice
Cheers!
Thanks for vulgarising unreal , new subscriber too
Thanks for the sub Fullon!
Does anyone know what website lets you upload multiple images and then just click a button to get a blending animation between each image in one video? I saw a youtuber show it a few months ago and can't find it.
Well, cool way to create some scrapbook ideas for scenes, but i must say i was a little bit dissepointed. Smell a little bit click bait here to be honest. I really expected to see a plugin for Midjourney or OpenAI that would more or less create a scene for you in unreal. Could be possible someday if the AI knows how to use all the tools, and have access to the content in you project.
Hey, bro. Quick question. Any reason you're using a cube here instead of a plane? Thank you! Awesome tutorial!
Hey man! Nope I'd even argue that for this specific purpose a plane could be better than the cube, but I just have a love for the classic cube :)
Nice tutorial! The only part i am missing is the camera movement and exporting as movie.
Thanks Sabo, I'll make sure to note that in the next
Hi was wondering if you could help me? When add the water body ocean I cannot see the water itself it doesn't load up the same as you show is there a way around this? Thanks
Hi Benha!
Sure,
So you added the water body ocean?
Make sure of this by opening your "Outliner" and search for it. If it appears in the list then it's added to the world.
Try to locate where it went by selecting the water in the outliner and see where the arrows are (selection gizmo) if you can't see the arrows, press "G" on your keyboard. Try to travel to it with your camera and drag the water around until it appears in-front of your camera.
@Sir.unreal. brilliant !!!! Thank you very much for the detailed reply I will give it a go later, I am also currently creating a horror clip and your tutorials have been so helpful, thanks again also do you have a patreon or anything ?
Where did you get the water body ocean from? Thats not in my drop down
Edit, plugins,water
one word.. thanks
Most welcome 😊
damn the development sure is fast
Almost too fast.
@@retrolightgames yea fr
Thanks for this tutorial very informative! Can you did something similar in anime or Ghibli style if possible?
Funny you mention Ghibli, that's coming up next :)
Can you make a tutorial on how to make a medieval castle, or an ancient castle?
wow
realy good video consept keep like this bro i want to learn 2d images to 3d animation
Thanks dude, I will!
Really nice and simple but for the ones that don't know, can you save it as a video and if yes how?
Yes sure! Go fullscreen with F11 and then record your screen with for example "OBS" or any screen-capture software.
@@retrolightgames LOL Yes simple way to do it, i was reading it and i was like "of course" thank you👍
That's great! But 10 months later.. can AI just take an image and automate the downloading, selecting, placing and scaling itself to try to match the original AI generate image and create the whole scene, with effects, all by itself? Maybe, yes, not yet? I don't see why this isn't possible!
what really bothers me, is that there are so many UE Tutorials,
where the tutor mentions certain buttons to change between "rotate, scale, move" of the gizmo or even using the icons on the top right,
when you can just cycle through those 3 options with the SPACEBAR, which is 10x faster.
Hey that's neat! I'll make sure to include that in the next tutorial :)
what can you use this scene for though? if it's not actual world?
In the next part we'll cover that :)
great video,it may help so many people to create!
Thank you Pamela, I would hope so too!
When you go far enough, you'll just run into a flat image at the end. Would have been cooler if the scene in the image was reconstructed so that it isn't just a flat image when you finally reach it but instead can continue on forward just like a real 3D environment.
Unfortunately Indian VCs couldn't found convections last year when I PITCHED my idea of producing the Metaverse Gaming System based on Geo location and realistic map with abilities to create users territory around the world 🌎 and play competitive gaming experience with other players.
It was magic.
Cheers Mazia :)
genius
madman
Drag and dropping the image isn't working for me on 5.2. It's showing black, and auto making a blank material. edit: connect normal node, also adding an emissive multiply helps.
Interesting Jeffrey! I have not had this problem before but glad you solved it :)
awesome~ thanks for this content! can you download your work mp3 or whatever and use it in my video?
Could you create a tutorial on how to add a campfire, please? I didn't manage to add a bonfire to the picture, it looks unfortunate :(
Yes yes yes.
Cheers Robert!
This is not image to 3d, this is image to background. There are tools which create 3d models from image
What are the tools ?
What tools?
Kaedim (AI "assisted" tool), 3Dify
@@Dannykim722 None of those tools work with Midjourney images, you're wrong.
@@rek360 woh, relax buddy. I'm just simply saying those are image to 3D AI tools.
GG
Cheers!
Can you do one but how to make a VR environment, similar to Oculus Quest lobby's
Amazing! Quick question, can you export it and make like animated wallpaper?
Nice...if only the loading time for UE5 was as long as this tut.
Hah, I agree Pop!
Boa noite muito bom.
Gracias Ismael!
Is it possible to make a city in mirjourney
It sure is !
@@retrolightgames yes, you can somehow make a city for the unreal engine and tell me how you can make clothes through this program?
How to make the water splash on the rocks?
Be great to see quick tips like these making action scenes.
Smoke cards
Fire
Explosions
Crumbling walls
Even if its buying assets and using them in sequencer to trigger the actions.
Well and trully subbed ;)
Thanks Armond, I like the idea :) will write it down
Is there any AI tools that can make the same, but via prompting and accepting the image as a part of input?
Took me two hours to download unreal and now I am stuck at the 'All classes> Water body Ocean. I have no option for water body ocean!
Hey! Okay go to "Edit" in the top, and then "Plugins" and search for "Water" and enable it, restart the project and then you will find the Water Body Ocean :)

Press R to Enlarge and E to Rotate?
Yeah that's a bit counter intuitive!
Thank you for the tutorial... But actually, I don't see much point in taking an AI-generated image to 3D like in this case. It's preferable to build this directly in Unreal. It would only be using a 'background'..
Hi AleRender, cheers for the feedback. The point is to inspire new users to Unreal Engine and keeping things simple, using an AI-generated image as a reference can help the imagination. Personally I've also found some real use-cases for midjourney images which I'll cover in the next tutorial :)
@@retrolightgames Yes of course . Beyond my opinion, the tutorial and your work for inspiring are appreciated.
