Great video! Love my MVSX. Swapping the sticks and buttons was one of the first things I did. Makes a huge difference and takes the cab to the next level. There wasn't a lot of documentation for the process, so very cool for you to put this together for the community

Very informative. I love my MVSX, but the joystick has been acting a little finicky every once in a while, (I'm still using the stock joystick from when the cab first released). Might be time to swap it out! Thanks for the video!

Just want to thank you for the wire cables and where it suppose to be like!
I did this mod for the sanwa joysticks, for the buttons I made the hole 30mm and put in some seimitsu like the japanese neogeo candy cabs and covered the extra holes with lorenzo black plugs. Really happy with the result and feeling :)

Thanks very much for this video! It totally saved me. One of the original joysticks broke, and I had no idea what to do. Without your video, I would have been left with a dead unit. Thanks to your help, I've successfully replaced both joysticks! I'm even confident enough to replace the buttons and recently ordered them!

I swapped out all the buttons on mine and replaced them with Suzo Happ competition buttons. I used encoder boards wires to plug them in. Very easy. I bought the Sanwa JLF sticks that you can solder so I didn’t need to have all that unnecessary work that you made for yourself by using the 5 wire Sanwa sticks. I used the original wires.

I learned to just pull the button wires, one of two things happen: 1. The glue gives, done. 2. The plastic socket comes off entirely. This is fine because you can now easily remove the glue and just slide the plastic socket back on its two board pins. There's no way to break it.
