2024 The Great Backyard Bird Count: Thank You

What an incredible year! More than 600,000 people from 209 countries or regions spent four days over the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) identifying and counting birds. Collectively, bird enthusiasts identified 7,842 of the world's bird species. None of us could have done this alone, so here's a huge thank you for your collective efforts! I love watching all kinds of different birds everywhere I go at any time of day! I really enjoy birds and spend time observing them. I'm very thankful for the opportunity to participate in this annual GBBC. Thanks Again!

I have a broken foot and had to 'watch' from my window. Luckily, I live in a park setting beside a canal and there are plenty of birds to see. I loved every minute!!! I will continue to 'bird' all year long and see you for next year's GBBC!

So glad I was able to participate this year! I found out about GBBC 3 days after it ended last year. I have learned many things and am grateful I now know more about the wildlife in my area and how to protect them while birding from a distance. Much love from our uncommon owls here 2 for the GBBC

The bird count was so much fun! O hope to improve my skills for 2025. Even now I’m hearing new avian songs as migratory birds arrive from new destinations.
