Jam & Lewis really had folks in a choke hold in the 80s, man.
That piano melody is a tearjerker. The singing is cool, but I really think that the piano is the star of the show.

ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!!!!!đ€đ€đ€đ„đ„đ„đŻđŻđŻ
Jam and Lewis called it a simple melody. Classic nonetheless.
Think about this. In 30 years from now no one will remember Sexy Redd but people will still love this song. Love songs forever.

Once again. Jimmy jam and Terry Lewis on the production AKA New Edition AKA Boyz II Men ECT and so on
Those were some of Jimmy Jam's favorite chord voicings. He used some of them again later on on "On Bended Knee" for Boyz II Men.

The Force MDâs made MAGIC back in the dayđŻ
You'll love their song Love Is A House.
Yes Ashley, this is the original and they had some nice songs with their Harmony and the lead singer. Antoine "T C D" Lundy died of Lou grig's disease. Trisco Pearson I believe died of cancer. Jesse Lee Daniels passed away and DJ Dr. Rock died of natural causes. May they all rest in peace đđŸ
You tearing up because itâs a real love song. So beautiful. đ
This song still gives me chills after all of this time
One of the most underrated groups of all time!!!! They were hip-hop pioneers and tore up the R&B and Pop charts as well with those sweet silky voices. Most have passed on. đđŸđđŸđđŸ

The LEGENDARY Force MDs
You're such a sweetie tearing up. I love how u react to our generations music â€
There was nothing negative or confrontational about the originalâŠonly pure love.
This was jam when this came out... R.I.P. T.C.D, Jessie D, Trisco, DJ Dr. Rock, and Mercury (cuzzo)
Slow jam personified! Group could definitely sing and harmonize!
I seen these brothers in Germany back in the day perform and they sound exactly like the recordâŠâŠ Majority of the group members have passed away so RIP to these great brothers.
Yes, the 80âs - this song was featured on the soundtrack for the classic movie Krush Groove! The Force MDâs were highly underrated. They were one of the first groups to overall entertain singing, rapping and dancing. You should listen to their songs Love Is A House and Here I Go Again - bangers!đ„đ„đ„đ„
This song is perfect in every way. What real R&B love sounds like.
One of the most recognized love songs of the 80's, released in 1985. Everybody was playing this for their lady. Was from the sound track from the movie "Krush Groove". Check that movie out on your movie reaction channel.
MD's stands for "Musical Diversity'. The decade of the 80s gave us the last era of true R & B groups and artist who sang what used to be called "Soul Music". There were recording artist who could actually sing whether in the studio or live in concert. Around 1986 one of the last of these groups The Force M. D.'s emerged out of Staten Island, N.Y. with the song "Tears". In 1987 "Tender Love", a song also included on the "Krush Grove" soundtrack and "Love Is A House", ensured them a place in music history as one of the last groups to successfully fuse Do-Wop and R & B. Although there were a few like R. Kelly who continued to keep R & B alive, in reality, R & B music died in the 90's and was buried by the cross-over general market success of Rap and Hip-Hop music. The Force M. D.s who were discovered while they were actually singing for their supper on the Staten Island Ferry for tips. They were extremely talented. Every member of the group could actually sing and their harmony was tight. 4 of the original 5 members are now deceased.
There was no other musical groups like the Force MDs,not even New Edition, they'd sing NE under the table !!! LOL. They'd sing, rap and dance too.
Troop
@@carameldiva5131 Oh,yeah, forgot about those guys, but,Force Mds would sing them under the table-TOO. LOL.But,Troop could out dance the MDs tho.
You're tearing up because we will never get this kind of music back....
After working all day it was a blessing to see The Force performing on the ferry. "We came to the party about one o clock to take out all MCeeees!!" Shoalin, NYC
đ„đ„đ„Very Very Talented Group..They Sing And Rap. This Was A Hit Back In The Day..
Someone please do two Ocassion by the deele or whip appeal by babyface
They actually started out as a Hip-hop group that had a hit with "Itching For A Scratch" but they could also sing! There unsung story is so tragic! These brothers were truly talented!! Another group of brothers that were truly talented is "Full Force"!
They got their start singing on the Staten Island Ferry

A Jam & Lewis production! đ„đ„
Since you're unfamiliar with them, it would have been nice if you could've seen the video, but they have other songs too, so you can still get the chance.
My freshman year of high school. I was still 13. 1985-86 school year. Great memories. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis said they just threw this song together in a rush for the soundtrack to Krush Groove! This is before we really knew who they were. They went on produce Janet Jackson and the SOS Band.
this one of my favorite songs and groups ever force mds best ever.
Not you about to slob đđđđđ
The lead singer ..... Chef's kiss, may he RIP
I was a 'new' teenager when this song came out. My Dad would NOT let me sing it!!!! đ€đ€Ł
Bone Thugs N Harmony also took a sample from this song and used it at the beginning of their song Days of Our Lives which was on the soundtrack for the movie Set It Off.
Fun facts. Same guys who wrote can you stand the rain for new edition wrote this as well. New edition was supposed to record this song first but I think the label blocked it.
Oh wow. Didnât know that. That def would have been big hit for them
@@chrischreative2245 yea, this song is in the movie krush groove and was made for the movie. They wanted new edition to record it but it was so much work going through their label that they decided to have force MD do it instead. They were still able to get new edition in the movie though for a cameo. Itâs a video on CZcams of Ralph singing this on one of their tours a while ago.
Ralph has also covered this song during the coming home tour đ„
If she enjoyed this she gonna LOVE Troop and Ready for the World!!!!đđđđ
Definitely Ready For The World!!
...and One Way...(but, Oh...Girrrlll, Tonight. đ ...yup...RFTW)
This is a sweet little song. Tender Love by the Force MD's is from 1985 so I think it is the original! Most of these 2000 and later R&B/HipHop songs are remade/remixed in some form or another.đđ
Produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
This song was the epitome of romance when I was a kid.
Classic soul at its finest â€
Another Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis Masterpiece
Now you know! The samples do the originals no justice at all!!!
Here I go again, touch and go, take your love back....Force Mds got SONGS!
Your awesome! You belong in the early 90's late 80's. I was born in 70'. So grow up listing to my parents music from 60' and 70'. Then I got to be there for the best music era ever!!! Made 3 babies (maybe more) with my mix tapes and great music!!!keep doing what you do, your doing great!
Yes. Thank you.â€
Again Ashley fire, Fire, FIRE reaction to this classic love song that never grow old.
Memories these songs bring to my soul!!
Yes, this is the original, WAY before the version you heard in the early 2000's.
I have been watching your reactions to songs for quite some time and this is the first time that I have ever seen you tear up. You had me tearing up. God Bless You.
When Sis puts that hand on waist, cosignedđđđżđđđż
This classic goes through generations non stop!!
This was my group. I was in JHS when they came out. They were like a newer Doo Wop/Hip Hop/R&B group.
Love is a House and Here I Go Again are my favorites.
Back in the day there was a thing called 'biting' that referred to stealing another person's style, moves, music, etc. When the West Coast gangster rap prevailed a lot of the old beats were 'used'/sampled from other songs and it became a typical theme. Now there is a big copywrite problem and everybody's granny is being taken to court. That's why the originals have so much weight. Also, the originals had a certain kind of meaning behind the song as well. Things have become twisted-a lot. And it has changed/damaged our society and way of life a lot as well. â
This is the original song and it was released in late 1985.
Classic!
Brings back so many memoriesâŠmusic ainât the same anymore these days when it captured u

That's my fave by them. â€

Thatâs my song. I sometimes go back and watch Boris and Nicole singing it during the pandemic just for the feels. đ
Hey Ashley, another Slow Jam that this white boy, well white boy back in the day (now 58) absolutely loves. Hugs
"I almost slobbed ya'll." đ
Force MD,s started out a a rap group then Jimmy Jam and Terry found out the couple harmonize.
You need to get into Patrice.Rushen a very talented singer song writer and
Music producer you need to listen to the songs Remind me, forget me nots, and also high and me. You will not be disappointed , get your pen ready!!
đ§Ąđ„đ„đ„đ„ This was an absolute masterpiece! Whether you could sing or not you was walking around singing this song.đđ Tfs!
Back in my young day when I thought I was a "Macaroni"....LOL...Call a young lady on the phone, then put the phone close to the speaker and let this play...Thought I was FLY...Then when it go off, I ask, "You like that?", and her Mother says, " You ain't getting nothing Tender over here, and I am going to tell her Father when he gets home"!! đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Great reaction!!!
"Tender Love" is super 80's classic! You could have kept that Trina trash though.
This is a talent show classic. A group of guys in my middle school sang this at ours. They werenât that good but the girls went crazy anyway. đ„čđđ
I was in high school when this came out. I told everyone that I was going to conceive my children to this & "Careless Whisper" by Wham...lol Never had any children, but this is STILL my jam!!!!
Hello Ashley, I just recently came across your channel. I wanted to tell you that I enjoy your reactions when most others I don't, because you have heart, intelligence, and obviously some wisdom as you seem to be blessed with some great women in your family. So many people of the Modern world are foolish and insufferable. Thank you for the warmth and light you bring. It takes someone of quality to appreciate quality.
One of the best jams girlie like I said before I was born in 1969 and as a child my ears were against the radio speakers switching from AM/FM radio stations take all genres in. I tell all my young siblings this story it was great times I tell ya! And from a youngster till my teenage yrs I was Dj for all family events & my moms Fashion shows. Great Times!!
It appears it was not a remake, but someone who used part of another person or groups song portion in their own song. This is referred to as SAMPLING. Beautiful song!
When you have time , catch the video to this song.
'Lady' by One Way. One Way was also a great group during that time. The lyrics and music combination in this song always tugged at my heart and made me cry, too. â€
Oh yeah, you're going to love it "click click" great reaction.
Yesssss!
Peace Sis! I KNEW THAT PEN CLICK WAS COMING!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Classic 80's song and group!đđżđđżâđżâđż Now react to their song Love is a House.
TC! â„ïžđđŸ
Oh wow thanks for dropping this trackâŠbrings back so many memories â€
Oh, I almost requested this, last week. Someone else beat me to it.
đđđđ this that 1!!!!!
You should definitely listen & react to âLittle Girls,â and âI canât believe we just met,â by Riff. The same group that sang the Eastside Alma mater in the bathroom of the movie âLean On Me.â
âSpread My Wingsâ, and the Jackson 5 remake âall Iâd do is think of youâ by Troop. Troop is the Only group to remake a Jacksonâs song and make it better than the original with âall I do is think of youâđŻ
Yes, and she has to do the video because that's the Clark Kent Radio Edit. No other version will do.
I made a similar comment on her take of Jackson Five's original. Troop's rendition of "All I do is think of you" is better.
@@mugsterr5269 A Michael Jackson and J5 super fan wanted to kill me for saying this
@@xandermarley8552 Our ears aren't deceiving us. Troop's arrangement and vocals are better not superior. I believe there are other like us who think Troop's version is better. Folks must realize this is no slight to the Jackson Five an iconic group.
@@mugsterr5269 ExactlyđŻ
I honestly didnât remember that Trina sampled this though I know the song well! đ thanks for pointing it out. And yes, Force MDâs were the jam! đ
The Force MDs are overlooked because they blended the 80s R&B and the burgeoning hip-hop culture. Sadly, most of the group has passed on. They had some good upbeat songs as well. You should check out "Forgive Me Girl", "Here I Go Again", "Love is a House", "Touch and Go" and "Couldn't Care Less. Tender Love was probably their biggest song and it had the most lasting power. But they were quite hot for a bit in the mid 80s.
I love this song! It was played at a lot of weddings đ that I have attended back in the day! The couple would typically have a cd đż as a party favor with songs on it and this is one of the ones featured!
Great request and reaction from Ashley! đâ€ïž
