I was on an unarmed drill team and always got so anxious when other commanders for different teams came to watch us practice or perform. Especially the boys drill team commanders because I always thought I'd mess up. And they just stand there fucking cool as a cucumber crossed arms and eyes watching everything. Our commander usually called them in to point out any mishaps and I always thought I'd fuck up.

Was drill team commander my senior year but my freshman year we won 1st place trophy at lenape hs with me as platoon leader (not for them; we beat them 😝) I had never been so scared but we were so sharp and crisp! I was so proud of my friends and myself. In Jersey, Camden HS and Irvington HS used to dominate but for those 4yrs I was there we was trouble... I'm so proud of these kids looking extra sharp with this. A little hesitant but you can tell that's just nerve... And mostly girls... Y'ALL BETTER GET IT! 🥰

In 89 the hosting school Instructor measured the field short. Every school before me marched the whole squad out of bounds. 10 pt deduction per cadet. I countered the mistake by giving two wrong commands out of order. 5 pts each. So we lost 10 pts instead of 80 or more. We took first place. So my advice is watch and learn from others mistakes.
