Very cool video you have some serious gear bro. Our dad is also a DJ and helps us buy gear. One of the things we do to buy gear is with our dad's Amazon Prime card we get new gear with no interest for 6 or 12 months. We want to go further in production so he is helping us set up LLC and get a small business loan.
Thank you for sharing this🙏🏽 I'm 18 years old and I've been helping my dad with light shows for his events and this inspired me to become someone like how you do it!!
Thanks for sharing this information and being honest. Well done to your dad for having the belief in you to invest in your future. Not only are you providing a professional service that you enjoy but you are learning about all the things that make a good businessman - investing wisely, marketing, getting bookings, dealing with clients, providing quotes, employing others, invoicing, cash flow etc. These are all great life skills that you can apply to any business in the future. Well done!
That’s how it’s supposed to work, your parents put there children in position to work for themselves. I salute your pops for seeing the Vision
You’re right. I’m forever grateful to him for seeing the vision
Congratulation brother!!! Shout out to that awesome DAD that believe in you and help you escalate your dream and make reality. Keep it going. Peace out From DALLAS TX!!
Mis respetos Bro' tu historia es inspiradora , creo que cualquier padre hubiera hecho lo mismo viendo en ti potencial para lo que escojiste , I'm from Peru and im doing this Dj events just as a hobby , but after the pandemic this is becoming as a part time job , great Job
Sweet setup!!
Only thing id comment is, weight distribution in your trailer. The rule of thumb is having your heaviest of weight at the front of the trailer closest to the hitch and work your way back, reason for it is fish tailing. It could be a cause for an accident. Other than that, great setup!
Hey, to get that old paint off try using some warm water to clean any loose dirt the top of that flight case. Then grab a rag and try using some fingernail polish remover (acetone) on that paint stencil. Give it some circular scrubbing. If that doesn’t work, you can try isopropyl alcohol or rubbing alcohol (probably under the sink or in the medicine cabinet at your folks house). Good luck and GREAT find!
Badass , keep up the awesome Dj work- Dj Lonestar
Keep up the amazing work! 👏
I understand I’m doing the same thing with my Son!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!
You can still use the orange ones where people walk if you have to run a extension cord there.
Wooow Que Buen Trabajo, Nice Jop 👌🏽, Greetings from Veracruz, Mexico =)
This is fire man dream set up
awesome father ! awesome story! the best!
We Use acetone to remove paint. Or turps might work.
Nice DJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice !!!
Now that i saw that last part in your video. Your just like me. Im currently 15 and have a huge system. (And yes my dad bought nost of the stuff) altho im starting to pay back. Im using 6 dual 18s, passive with amplifers, i find them more satisfying if you know what i mean. 4 dual 15s and 4 15" mackies. (I also have 4 cerwin vegas usally use 2 for a small loadout since there single 18s with 2 mackies) But what im looking foward to is line array. There more efficient in weight. I have a robot aswell not to long ago, and other miscellaneous stuff for a dj. Real nice to see that theres other people like me at a young age. And currently im just trying to get contracts. Im designing my business card as i type this actually, and i hope for the best :) My next thing is to buy the Video wall. But that will be a huge investment. Almost 12k. The thing is with my stuff, my speakers monstly, besides them mackies. There home made, me n my dad build the boxes and buy the drivers. Its a fun expirence besides the labor. And also not to long ago, about a month i got a enclosed trailer and f250 for the gig. The first time i used the trailer it was already worth it becaused it rained 💀.. besides the luck. What i was gonna ask you before i saw that last part is. Not assuming you still got those 7r lights still is, i would be a lil more on the lookout for those 7r lights. To be specific because there bulb. Those bulbs runns 24/7 once u turn the light on. When the lights are "off" there still on inside. You can probably see it inside/around the light casing. And these lights tend to draw 250w, Countinuous. Countinuous poeer tends to heat up wires more depending the wire. And can trip a breaker in a certain amount of time. I currently have 6 7r beams i try to have 3 on each outlet but at max use 5 per outlet, (15 amp) i really do wish i had led beams something like those you have or the intimidator. But its just something to note for power. Other than there all good lights :) and yes i had to program the lights and make the scenes. Once u do there sick!. Iv kinda became a lil master in creating fixtures. (Since there 7rs are mostly from china) I wish you good luck near your future :), From North Carolina
Bro love the videos but you should invest in a tripod or some sort of stabling mount for your videos. You get me dizzy sometimes with so much movement in the camera. Keep it up!
In due time
Best thing for road cases just spray paint black over the white and then make yourself A spray paint stencil and spray paint white lettering of your company after
Or you could just buy socopex cable 😝
I really wanna get into socopex but it’s such a big investment🥲
in Europe you are not allowed to put reflective stickers. :( you forgot to mention the highlite the milwaukee meter!
Yuhhhhh I wonder who puts all that together 💪
Despite showing up late 60% of the time
@20:05 Can you do a video or go into detail on how ya'll made the power distro box?
It’s very simple actually. Just basically just a sub panel that hooks up to a main panel at a place
@@DJFiezta oh ok thank you!
2 videos in one week?🤯
Put a door on every side!
Those are both only 30 amps not 60. You get 30amps on each phase if your running 120volt items you only have 30 amps. If you have 240volt items you still only have 30 amps.
How have those k12.2s worked out for you? I recently bought 4. I was super exited to use them and when I did, one of them turned off on me at a gig. It’s already getting replaced. Has that ever happened to you? I’m worried about the reliability. I’m hoping it was just one defective unit and nothing else.
Same thing just happened to me a couple weeks ago in February. I’m going to replace the amp and hopefully that’ll fix it but other than that, they’ve worked great! I’ve had them for a good 4 years now and they’re workhorses. I’m planning on retiring them soon and replacing them with line arrays but I’ll still be using them as monitors when I have gigs with bands
@@DJFiezta Awesome, thanks for the reply!
@@DJFiezta I would keep the k12.2 for center when you dj, the line arrays will not cover the center area in front of the dj. I dj a few events and they want me to use the line arrays they have setup. After I perform a sound check. I always end up putting my K12's either under my table or in front of the booth I'm in.
Keep em dancing
Max peak is misleading due to not being able to stay there
Hey bro donde compraste el case para las jolt 300
Es un case prox para cabezas robóticas. Es uno de los cases de mis cabezas viejas pero me lo quede para las jolts. Caben cuatro perfectamente!
Oralr bro gracias 🤘
Just repaint it.
Will you sale me your 6 beam lights please
Acetone will get that paint off if its still on it 9 months later :D
Are you still selling your l.e.d screen
Sold it back in October last year
QSC KLA MAN !!!!!!!! wont be unhappy. I have 6 k12.2's amd 6 KLA's. Next up is subs, need 4-6 of them myself.
KLA’s are cool but the constant curve is a terrible design. You’re limited to what you can do
So how much money have you invested already?
Going on for $150k
@@DJFiezta holy shit
You forgot to add each item cost and the total of money spent?
I might’ve done it on purpose. The unedited video did have price tags but I edited everything out. I’m still a little afraid of the internet and potential thieves from corpus watching my videos seeing what I own
Here’s a detailed list of everything I own with prices:
Computers/controller:
• 2019 MacBook Pro with upgraded graphics card and ram - about $2500
•2021 dell notebook for lighting - $700
• Pioneer DDJ-SX3 - $1,000
Sound:
• 6 QSC K12.2 speakers - $1,000 each, $6,000 total
• 4 BassBoss SSP218 subs - $5,000 each, $20,000 total
Lighting & video:
• 6 MegaLite Axis Beam 7R’s - $1,400 each, $8,400 total
• 8 MegaLite MB1 Beams - $1,000 each, $8,000 total
• 4 ADJ Jolt 300’s - $479.99 each, $1,920 total
• 10 Both Lighting S6 uplights - $1,550
• 4 cold spark machines - $2,200
• 1 Chauvet nimbus - $1180
• 12 panel p3.9 led screen - $14,000
Truss and crank stands:
• 2 ST-180 crank stands - $3,436 for a pair
• 2 DT-PRO4000 crank stands - $1328 for a pair
• total of 44 feet of truss + angle trusses - roughly about $2,600
Miscellaneous:
• cables of all types - roughly $1,000
• 2021 cargoman 24’ trailer - $11,000
• LED Robot suits - about $4,000 each, I have two so $8,000
• road cases for speakers and items - about $2000
Comes out to $96,814, if you add tax to everything which is 8.25% in texas, the total is $104,801.16. Just an estimate and this only counts the equipment I own now, there’s more I used to own and don’t anymore or just don’t use but it’s definitely around this number, probably higher.
I charge an average of $3500 per gig, at this rate it would take about 30 gigs to pay for everything, that’s without subtracting costs for materials and crew paychecks. I have 72 gigs under my belt in the span of 4 years
Wow that a lot of money. Next video you should talk about how you price you gigs. Just an idea.

Lmao this kid is all daddy's money 😂 Memes aside I don't think it's a bad thing either way it's just when people flex, and act like they did it on their own when they didn't is what makes it seem bad, and cringe.
just paint over it
