Brian said in one of his many interviews that he had plans for a Catslair and it would feature one main room vs multiple levels or areas. He also said it would be easier to make than the Thundertank and similarly priced so maybe $600. Now $400 for a complete working LJN Catslair is a steal as most are selling these days for over a grand in way worse condition.
Right! I don't understand not buying a vintage lair for $400 but happily awaiting to pay super7 double or triple that price for a new 1. 😑

I collect a lot of Ultimates from Super 7 and literally just ordered the Thundertank (I know I'm late to the party). I cannot imagine a Cat's Lair in this scale, but looking back at Snake Mountain this would be more vertical so if you turned Snake Mountain on its end, then maybe this could work. All I know is I hope this is a true tease and not something they'll want funding for this year as I am tapped out.
This is a must own to all diehard Thundercats fan! I got the tank. Do I need this as well? Oh hell yeah!

This will be a dream come true and welcomed, for me. I see plenty of size concerns, space concerns etc. For those that dreamed of this since 1985/1986, they will make room for it. I want to hear excitement like Mega Jay, as well as also enthusiasm and wonder. Thanks bro! We want to think in solutions and possibilities as avid collectors. It will be epic. Like another comment said, take Super7 Snake Mountain sideways and make it vertical. This is possible. Another welcomed comment by jorge said they were informed the Thundertank can back up into it. We have seen nothing but yet: chicken little sky is falling worries run rampant, and often try to occur before every unrevealed release. 🤣 SDCC will hopefully reveal this at the Con and clarify a lot of doubts and worries towards this. There can be valid concerns but absolute knowing of epic doom is not possible just yet unless you're DeLoreaned up with Mr. FUSION and just know for sure. Mega Jay, Brick Something, Jorge etc. have shared good tidbits and insights to confirm Ultimates scale, one big room(tydirium) (can be broken up and accentuated with foam dioramas and magnets 🧲), can back up the Thundertank. Awesomeness! Let's see what it is when it is finally revealed. The Thundertank being a good indicator that this Cat's Lair should be awesome. Looking forward to it. We make room for things we really like, want or care about. I know I have, for real!!! There are numerous ways to display. For instance, breaking up items, playsets into different setups or parts to suit your environment vs just lamenting to no end on space. What do ya mean Skew? For instance, take cues from the awesome Diorama makers and make expansions. Disassemble the paws to just display with the Thundertank if you have it. Make a custom Paw using easily found items like storage totes flipped over and painted up with foam board all kinds of stuff. If space is not an option use printouts for your Detolfs shelves whatever. We have no idea yet how it is stock. The paws might already be on point, who knows? This comment is basically to encourage peeps to start using your mind to approach any problem with display or collecting in a possible way, or an I'll figure it out way. If you like Thundercats enough or like the line enough you'll make it happen somehow. If not you won't be bothered with it. Let's see it first and then figure out cool ways to display it, or to even give it accentuated upgrades or whatever. Thanks Mega Jay for the awesome coverage. I cannot even imagine that they would put up such a tease as this and have it be a cat's layer only for their reaction figures. They would have to know that people are in an absolute tizzy over the idea that there might be some edifice intended for their ultimates line.

The Super7 Ultimates Thunder Tank was a pass for me but being that I own a number of the Ultimates figures… I’d consider an Ultimates Cats Lair.
Your passion and love for toys it what made me subscribe. Also I can’t imagine what one of these castles would cost 10-20 years from now. As for super 7, if they put just a bit better articulation and love ❤️ into the cats this line could be one of the greats. In my humble opinion I think they are gorgeous they just lack in pose ability. And when I say possibility I’m not talking sh figuarts but just enough to get dynamic poses! Because let’s be honest! The nerd cave wars is about to start! If it hasn’t already! So when imagination comes into play, the lack of articulation hinders pose ability and display. With that being said I’m all in on this cat’s lair! Thundercats Hooooooo!

Just to give you a heads up Reaction figures are in 1/12 scale. 1/6 scale is 1' tall figures. A 1/3 scale set would be MASSIVE
The Reaction figures are 3.75”, so smaller than 1/12 scale. More like 1/19 scale.
You are right, though, that 1/3 scale would be massive. Some people struggle with fractions.

Didn't the tank come out of one of the paws, it will be massive.
I would like to see what they so with it, but I noped out of Snake Mountain because I could't justify the price with the shipping or space it would take up. I got my Thundertank, opened and inspected it and then packed it away because I have no idea where to display it. I can't even imagine how much space a Cat's Lair would take up.

The Re:Action playsets that they'd done to date are plastic bases with cardboard backdrops (like Land of the Jawas) for $100+ and a Cat's Lair would have to be at least twice the size (and I'd bet twice the price) of the ones they've already done to not look silly.
Just to clarify, an Ultimates CatsLair would be approximately 1/12 scale (6-7” figures)

You keep saying 1/6 scale which is a 12 inch figure. The super 7 stuff is 1/12 scale which is a 6" inch figure... But that's even wrong because Super 7 figures are 7 inches.

Mumm-ra's lair is more plausible to make unless this project would be so huge we could park the tank under one of claw 😅.....same reason i didnt bought Castle Grayskull coz He-man cant enter the gate riding battle cat and Skeletor could not stand in the mouth of the Snake head in his lair 🤣 ...yah i know it would be ridiculously huge and pricey but still it would be awesome if those could be done.... so still waiting for wily kat to finish the main characters....

I can almost guarantee you. The tank will not fit under the paw it will be much like the original play set Just like the original the tank did not fit under the paw and he will say he's being toy accurate...
