The good thing about this is That the metaphore really works. The UFOs are new music, the people and the city is the classic music, the "fabric" is the music industry, the 5 guys in the reunion is Caravan Palace. The plan that the industry tries is simple, fight technology with technology, and Caravan palace says "yes... Buuuuut, let's keep in mind the classic and jazzy style with our new music" and creates a dancing robot who always has in mind jazz and defeats the UFOs. So we just watched the birth of electro swing in France and its rise to the top.

Don't take it too literally, the band knew what they were doing was reprogramming the robot. See 1:08, the Scientists wanted to knock the "Aliens" out of the sky but I'm not sure they were aware of the extent of the threat or just the good method of alien removal. The whole video's intermingled with the lyrics, though; the aliens cause havoc, the aliens aren't human (obviously) and yet how subtle are they when you don't look at them just right? The song's about would be parents laughing at their kids growing up helpless, thinking it's "Cute" or something. The robot beams shoot at the same time "It ain't right, *NO NO* " pops up in song. 2:22

for me this represents one of the best aspects of human nature. In times of happiness and music, people all flock and crowded the streets. The workers began to construct it and then it was done. The Robot function precisely as planned confusing the scientists because it fought while dancing. I think this solely depicts the creativity of human nature. And how it can overthrow expected unoriginal results. How it can as well be effective and fun. Consequently, you can liken this analogy to the Caravan Music where it is creatively produced, oldish type of music with a modern electric spin to it. Brilliant job!

I think the spotlights were supposed to be like watch towers that would look for aliens and take them down
The guy probably won a Nobel prize after that.
I realy love many of your other tracks too but this one deserves to be recorded on the next golden record that will be sent into space as one of the greatest musical achievements of all time.. though cant say much less for beatophone and dramophone and maybe few more :)
