Great voice but it's a simple song. When they were recording the song Otis said they done their parts in a couple hours. But Eddie they kept him to daybreak with his part. If Norman Whitfield done that you can not make it any better. It's plain and simple stick close to the original with that great voice. I'm sure the Tempts could have done that but they made it where people could sing along..Simply brilliant.
I said the same thing. he seems like a Stevie wonder imitator singing eddie off-pitch. This is a melodic song. Not to be sung like you somebody tryin' to get on some place by not adhering to "if you cannot sing the song at least, as well as the original Artist, do not try to make it your own. This was terrible in my book. I am not a singer but I thought I could not do worse.
Never was it of pitch. I think you were speaking of the runs and changing of notes... learn music before you judge it.. A crowd would have shout for it... that's why you said get on with it. Just wasn't the original way. If we gone go with that mentality 99 percent of music needs to be eliminated because it was always done before. That's why it's called make it your own... Same with instruments. There was sticks and rocks before there was the drum set. And this applies to every aspect of life. B4 you was your parents. Now are you new or a cover... hope you stayed like the original... or at least your mindset would say that
@@darinabstonjr9512 Listen I know I am talking to a stupidperson bc you don't know mefool. He is completely off pitch, off key, and flat! He has no vibrato, resonance or color. You must be tone deaf. Let me tell you something else. I was forced to sing and started at 5. By 8 I was singing SMokey robinson's songs (like Michael Jackson 2 years before he came out) in Ohio, and at 10 with older guys on the street corner while they were drinking wine. I have a repertoire of songs (from Smokey/Miracles, Eddie Kendricks /Temptations and Michael Jackson/5. I have written over 300 songs. I can read, write and compose music and sing it. I can personally sing over 400 or more songs from Motown. I graduated from High School with a music scholarship. Then I was singing "Classical Music" with Robert Paige and the Cleveland Orchestra (a 350 pcs band) at 19. Then I got to California and I sang gospel in a church choir. A New Record label tried to swoop me up before I got to Caliornia. But I wanted to start to learn how to act since I'm so artistic and knew music and music theory. (I play 5 instruments) So I started acting in stage plays in Cleveland Ohio to prepare for Hollywood. I met a Director out of UCLA while on break doing a Play with the Paul Robinsion Players who invited me to my first movie set. When I got to California one of my Private University Professor's heard me singing and referred me to Majory Taylor who was a V.P. over A&R at A&M Records. (say that 10 times then talk to me) She began to train me (to rival Michael as a pop star) in Italian singing "Niccola Vacaai" and I did not know that I was going to audition. I was not even prepared but she accepted me. I was the right place at the right time again. I thought he said she was a voice coach (and she was). I had been smoking cigarettes (early in life) and quit so I wanted to make recompense wasn't necessary. I left her to be a Prophet for the Lord Mashiah. Anyway, I was going to start a Production Unit at Paramount Studios where I am the only black man who has ever been mentored by two of the same Studios' TOP V.P.s (Larry ALbucher/Production and John Farrarro/Distribution) for 18 months. I had Investors that then put me through Film School - Hollywood Film Institute, UCLA Film School.) Not only was I going to start that but also a Music Label since Paramount didn't have one. I had 30 Artists on 3 different labels from Chicago, L.A. (Green Eyes was on it), and Arizona (who had a black female country singer. So I know Entertainment value, and there is none there. I said all that to say, this guy (and you) need the shut the *uck up bc he sounds horrible!! I can do better acapella in my sleep. He definitely screwed it up so...

@@darinabstonjr9512 What voice range do you sing in?
He sings well but doesn't know the melody of the song or just tried too hard to change it too much.
oh hail no! it is not yours, you sound flat, no vibrato, no resonace, no kiddin. Eddie Kendricks sang that song, rite? you should let him sing it
Straight hater
Damn, was not expecting that. Seriously the most beautiful cover of this song.
