    Although I do watch and enjoy cookery shows I also do agree with Micky here.
    I find it ridiculous when chefs condescendingly say stuff like "there's no reason you can't cook this, it only takes 30 mins" whilst omitting the fact that a prep chef did all the chopping for an hour beforehand.
    The tipping point for me came when one of them was on about beans on toast and "made" his own baked beans that needed 24 hours soaking beforehand and a carrier bag full of tomatoes. Just why? Tinned beans are fine, they've been around for like a hundred years. They've been perfected.

    I can't stand their fingers in the food, mawling it all the time, and that standing movement they do, and the sudden stepping back to look after tasting it. They all the the bloody same thing! Nauseating. He's right. I have a relative who's a chef, and her hands are in everything, instead of using falks or things to toss food or mix, in goes the hands. Makes me feel sick. Lol. But worse, when someone asks you round for dinner, and their hands with nail varnish and big rings are raking through the food instead of using salad instruments in the rice, salad, or whatever. I sit their feeling and looking like I've got a fur ball coming up, trying to hide it.

    • @ch4z_bucks
      @ch4z_bucks Pƙed 2 lety

      Your relative is a chef and tastes with their hands? What sort of kitchen employed them and why are the standards not being upheld, worked in a few restaurants and despite not being the fanciest of places one thing stayed the same, you never touch the food to taste, you use your spoon which you then wash after each taste.

    And also there's barely any fat ones. I definitely wouldn't take military advice off a guy who holds a rifle the wrong way round.

      Well I can't speak for all chefs but I know Gordon Ramsay frequently takes part in marathons and for a time did a martial art (not sure which one) for long enough to get a black belt. Even then he has some belly fat likely due to his age, I imagine if other chefs are similar in activity to him, or eats as healthily as he claims he does then they could maintain a healthy figure.

    could not agree more. over rated cooks like ramsay, he's nothing more than a rude arrogant self-righteous gob shite. Any other walk of life he's a bully. Yet in the cooking world for some reason he gets away with shouting and swearing at people.If he's on TV, i always switch over i wont watch him.
