- For my great friend Bill Paxton, here is the concert performance of my theme for his film "The Greatest Game Ever Played" in London which was his favorite theme of mine. This is for you brother.

I think we lost so much in losing Bill Paxton. I believe he would have gone on to make some great movies. Brian's theme was the icing on the cake. And it brings memories as thick and sweet as molasses to me of my days spent on the golf course with my dad. People are always saying to enjoy the early times spent with family and friends because they are fleeting. So true. I would give the rest of my years to spend one day on the course with my dad.

Yes. The makers of this movie knew something that few do. It's actually BETTER when the antagonist has as much class and sportsmanship as the protagonist does. Many sports movies have the 'bad guy' go thru a conversion at the end (Breaking Away, Karate Kid, Victory) but why not let him be that way the whole film? Much better for the viewer
