Table Rock State Park South Carolina

HERE WE GO!
Table Rock State Pack SC, is one of the best state parks in the south. Some friends and I together for a camping trip to South Carolina. This was a great surprise with great camping and some of the best and toughest trials I have ever hiked. I give this place a top 5 star rating to camp and visit. There is plenty to do. This is a must visit state park that is very pet friendly.

I hiked up Table Rock in June 1999 (25 years ago!). Your advice about bringing plenty of water and and maybe not hiking up in the heat of the summer is spot on. I underestimated how tough it would be and suffered from heat exhaustion (heat stroke?) for the first and only time in my life. You become disoriented, which is a very strange and scary experience. Made it to the top and survived, but have been much more cautious about hiking in hot humid weather ever since. Great area of the country and state park. I remember they had a lodge there that served a very nice fish dinner. Happy hiking.

The heat bothered me on the way back down. I was drinking more water than I should of. I should have dumped it on my head I would have felt a lot better.
It was hot and humid.
