ABOUT ME:
Well, I'm just a bit of a Whiskey nerd/enthusiast. And when creating these videos I only really have one goal - to make your understanding of Irish Whiskey that much better! Well that, and have a bit of entertainment at the same time. And maybe hopefully have you learn a few things along the way and laugh. Okay so maybe not one goal maybe four!
Iâm not into those videos that are monotone and busting out fact after fact on whiskeys, no character no nothin. If that's what youâre looking for then keep on rollin baby, this channel isnât for you! But if you wanna have a little fun while (hopefully) learning, then what are you waiting for, subscribe, and get comfy!

Hi Brian. Thank you for your review. I stumbled across Buskers here in the states recently and then found your vlog. I tried the blended and thought it was pleasant and enjoyable, just like you said. One of the other commenters said they didn't like the labeling, but it rather caught my eye. I particularly appreciated that the 50 ml bottle I bought was glass and not plastic like so many others are. Good value too. I would be glad to reach for this again. Cheers.
Hey thanks for the comment. Itâs not everyoneâs cup of teA, the packaging, but I get the vide the company is more interested in getting the product out there with no frills âthis is what it isâ kind of quality. Decent spirit at a decent price! Thanks for the comment. All the best!
Sorry, coloring cannot be added to straight bourbon... legally that is. Cheers!
I know. I state that in my blog post.
I've had the Triple Cask Blended and the Single Pot Still. The TCB was good. The SPS was really good. You're absolutely right about the mouth feel on the SPS. Very oily and coating.
The only one out of the range I didnât really care for was the grain, but at the time I wasnât a huge grain fan, thatâs changed a bit so I might have to revisit the grain again to give it a fair shot. Thanks for the comment.
Great work yet again! I completely agree about grain whiskey not being my thing, it's fine for cocktails but I'd rather sip a Pot Still or a Single Malt.
Itâs just a bit to plain for my taste tbf. I do enjoy a blended whiskey as some of the casks used can yield interesting flavor profiles but in general Iâm a SM or SPS fan!
Great video. The only reason I havenât bought that whiskey is because of the horrible packaging. They need to redesign their bottles and labeling. Think of the beautiful branding of Teeling.
True. We do judge a certain element of whiskey by eye, but should we? Are you missing out cause you think the packaging is shit? I did that before and learned an important lesson. Itâs not a bad set of whiskeys. Something for everyone and at a decent price point! Let me know your thoughts if you ever get around to trying them! Thanks for the comment.
Just bought the green label on sale $17.00âŠ.an extreme value for a very drinkable whiskey
Great value!
I was on the fence about buying one of these but I think I'll invest I the single malt and pot still bottles after watching this!
Great choices! And great value whiskeys for the money and flavor
On average, I think Stateside the bottles have been pricing below 30 dollars in many liquor stores and slightly higher when I do see them in regular grocery stores. What I am seeing is that the Busker blended is the lower priced bottle that sells between 22 and 35 dollars, while the other three Busker whiskeys sell between 28 and 40 dollars. I haven't opened a bottle yet, but I expect that it will taste vastly different to Jameson or Wild Turkey which have been my regular sips for a while.
They arenât bad value whiskeys in fairness! These are night and day to your standard Jameson Pours and Wild Turkey! But I enjoyed them.
Also: you most definitely earned a Subscriber. Cheers!
Awesome! đ thanks
I received the three half-bottle tasting set for Christmas 2021, and I bought a 50mL mini of the blend. I'm going to duplicate your tasting, possibly this weekend. Only the blend is readily available in stores these days.
Good man Don. Coming to a tasting near you soon!!
9:30 is never too early for a few drops đâ€
We were gifted a bottle of the single grain, and just didn't care for it. That said, your review is Spot. On. We definitely get the hazelnut - the wife said she gets Nutella - but it's way too hot and grainy for our taste. That sharp ethanol heat is hard to get beyond. That said, we'll seek out the single malt and the single pot still. Those sound delicious. Slainte!
Delighted you enjoyed the review and found it informative. Not bad whiskey for the price, I just couldnât get into and vibe with the single grain. It happens. SlĂĄinte
I thought it was "B" (good), but definitely not "A" (excellent).
They have some new small batch limited editions coming that Iâve tried recently. Pretty amazing stuff tbh.
