Why INDIAN ROADS are NEVER SAFE

  • In this live accident, I had a crash and realized why you are never safe on Indian roads in India. I crashed on a turn right outside my house because of a guy not following the traffic rules and riding on the wrong side. Apart from his obvious mistakes, there were a few things I could've done or not done voluntarily to avoid the accident. Here's the story of my accident on my Royal Enfield classic 350, telling how I ended up in this situation.

I hope there are many more like me who will be a little more cautious watching this video next time they are on the road and always keep safety as priority. Ride safe everyone. Remember riding is fun only if you are alive for it.

I crashed just two days ago. it was my mistake entirely. I was halfway through a 250 km ride for the day and on a small state highway laced with roadbumps. I know there are roadbumps, I know cars ahead of me will slow down for them. But a moment of lack of concentration on the car that was stopping in front of me, I ended up breaking way too late, that combined with having just filled by tank to the max made my braking distance more than it should be and I swerved last second but my tyre scraped up against the rear bumper of the car. Tire marks on the car and a few scratches. I tried to plead my case, long ride, full tank, didnt see the bump, but I knew it was my mistake. The guy was with his family, wife and little kids. I felt absolutely horrible for having traumatized little kids with that. His wife was in a bit of state too. In the end the guy inspected the damages and just like you, decided not to go through with anything. I had my insurance papers out and ready for him. I really felt like shit. But he made me feel even worse when he just drove away without taking anything from me. The entire ride back home and quite an adventurous trip otherwise was left in a sad bitter mood for me. A great time to get your video in suggestions. It helped put things in perspective. I won't stop riding, for there's too much adventure in the world to miss out on, but I will try my best not to be .. insouciant.
