I was 7 when this mall opened. I had a blueberry ice cream cone there for the first time. I remember when Woolco was about to open and the jingle went " Double U, double O LCO..Woolco" and they'd show a flat bed truck driving downtown with the Woolco sign being delivered. I practically lived in that mall as my actual home was a short 15 minute walk away. Me and my two buddies would look forward to March break and spend a fair bit of time there. Ports of call, Village Square, Taj Mahal, Toy Joy, Paramount theater and Petsville.
