Alas, Sara died in April of 2012. I miss her greatly and I remember her fondly when I watch the video. She new when it was time to take my pictures and always ran outside to pose. I'm glad I kept her in the pictures and didn't shoo her away.

Can you comprehend that someone spent 5 years just making this 1 minute video you just watched? Sometimes I feel kinda sad it takes people giant chunks of a lifetime to work on something that will usually be greatly overlooked. I know there's not much more to do with it but like the video, but there are so many, countless of lives dedicated to making their videos, or as in my case - songs, to little or no appreciation. Just made me think out loud. Barely anyone will get it but there's no harm in posting the thought anyway. Spend a moment to appreciate some of the people who bring you this content, CZcams isn't TV, many of those "non-viral" people don't get paid and don't get anything out of entertaining you, so at least like their videos and leave a nice comment.

Blight GT I only took pictures once a week, so that wasn't so hard. And you are right, editing the pictures does take the longest. I'm hoping that sometime before I'm finished someone creates a program to do that automatically.

***** I'm baffled how you thought that was negative. I actually completely agree with him, along with 26 other people. Think about it, this took 5 years. I don't hate this video in any way, but making this was probably a waste of time; considering it did not receive much credit to what it was worth. Why would you call himself a "lame musician"? Don't let ignorance get the ahead of you; that's rude. He didn't try to offend anyone.

I do not consider myself an arborist as much as I consider myself a historian. I try to capture the steady flow of events that effected my life. When my in-laws lived in the house pictured, they had a passion for the yard. In later pictures after my divorce, not in the video, the yard doesn't look so good. The tree still grows, but so does the grass.
This video captures the struggle my in-laws had keeping the lawn healthy when we had a dog that loved to lay in the same place all the time.

"photographic obsession".... I like that. That's an incredibly accurate description. The dog, Sara, always seems to know when I am taking my pictures and runs out to lay on the lawn.
For a while, that bothered me, then I thought, she is just as much a part of change as the tree growing. So, I stopped chasing her away.
Thanks for looking, thanks for commenting.

The dog(s) are a continuing saga in life around here. Sara, the brown dog is the only consistent element in the video. Lilly, the black dog, came to us after my sister-in-law died. Lilly died earlier this year due to cancer. Pretty quick, after I get remarried, I will be getting 2 more dogs. So, updated videos will have more canine to help me mark the timeframe of the videos.

We removed the branches. I try to clean out the lower branches to open up the yard.

Thank you for the video! It amazes me when human has total disregard for trees. Protecting us, helping arbor other species, only to be cut and destroyed in a second!

totally awesome! I thought about doing this a week ago and hoped someone had already done it. nice work! And being a Canadian it is so weird to see the leaves all fall off in autumn but then no snow showing up ever lol

This video is so cool. I’m so sorry about Sara. I have 3 pups and I’ve lost one before. I’m so sorry about Sara because it’s hard to live like that. ❤️❤️❤️
