Story time! So you may notice that this isn't exactly the latest, greatest model. As the hashtag suggests, this is a reupload. Reason being, there's been a few years of drama with my channel. A couple of years ago it was demonetized by CZcams and they wouldn't let me remonetize my content because of an offending video. Literally all my videos at that point were tech reviews and photoshop or premiere pro tutorials so I was VERY confused. What's more, they wouldn't tell me what the problem was so I could fix it. Months went by and they kept rejecting my application for monetization. Out of frustration, I began moving all my tech content to another channel. Then I FINALLY found the offending video. It was a tutorial I did demonstrating how to find and edit a narrative video with stock footage. One of the clips I used had a CGI dead or dying whale in it (the subject of the video was pollution). I removed the video and got remonetized. Unfortunately, the new tech channel struggled to get enough subs to be monetized, so I had lost a huge portion of my revenue stream on this channel. Fast forward to now. I recently posted a video about how I'm fed up with CZcams's algorithm (czcams.com/video/Uf0DxzaGdZM/video.html). I've always felt like I've had to split up my content to different channels depending on subject matter to appease the algorithm and meet subscriber expectations. Well I'm not doing that anymore. It's actually kept me from enjoying the creative process and making content. As for this video, it's reappearing here because it was a fairly popular video and I refuse to start from scratch! Anyway, thanks for watching!
It's all good Josh, because of your recommendation I actually purchased this for work!
Nice!
I remember when my school got everyone (including the teachers but they had a better model than us) and all of us though it was so cool that we can just flip the laptop into a tablet which was so amazing for drawing in class and playing games. We had the first gen of the l13
Hey josh! Thanks for the in depth and to the point review. Is the keyboard detachable though?
This was just the video i was looking for Thank you so much
How does Linux work on it? I want to get one of these and put Linux Mint on it, I'm hesitating because I've read that Linux doesn't detect when the laptop goes into tablet mode. Supposedly this feature only works on the X series. Is it too heavy to use as a tablet while in bed?
Thank you for such valuable info!
Hows the heavy gaming?
Nice review good job!
is it good for programming like Cad or 3D drawing?
How's this L13 vs the L14
Helloo! My sister is really interested on this thinkpad, how's the audio?? She takes online classes so yeahh
It would be fine for that. Pretty middle of the road in terms of laptop speaker performance.
Is this laptop good for college
Should do.
Is the pen good for art stuff?
I'll let you know, just bought one today and will get in by next week.
@@nattyfalk3185 I'll really appreciate that, thank you
Any update?@@nattyfalk3185
I've been using this exact model since early last year as a student mostly.
As far as art stuff goes, It's alright. It has tilt and pressure sensitivity. If you're just getting into art, or taking notes, it's more than adequate. But if this is your primary drawing tool, you'll be left wanting. It's a little too small and cumbersome to be drawing on all the time. I recommend an iPad or another standalone PC and a monitor drawing tablet.
Any updates? @@nattyfalk3185
Deberias de poner subtitulos en español hay bastante gente que lo veria jaja
It's auto-translated so might not be terribly accurate, but they're up!
