    You are a very talented man. This is a very difficult lock to pick.
    Not only are you an excellent lock picker but you are also a natural teacher.
    Congratulations

    I appreciate your calm, clear, and thorough tutorial on all that is the ASSA 700. It had to be so much more difficult to pick these more difficult locks before guys like yourself didn’t have such detailed walkthroughs. Thanks.

    Lots of great community members who assisted you in preparing this guide. The 3d model and your explanation of float picking helped me to better understand the concept. Not sure if I'll ever earn a red belt...but you never know.

    Where can I buy this lock? Thanks

    • @IsaacHashman
      @IsaacHashman  Před rokem +1

      I got my first one from Amvgert through the LPU discord. But you can also buy them through dealers/locksmiths who work with ASSA locks. Alternatively, you can search on websites like ebay for used versions. Just be careful that you know what you are getting if buying used.
      Lastly if you are in LPU discord server, you can check out the lock bazzar to see if any are listed for sale there.

      Mostely here in Sweden, since Norway and Denmark have others (Ruko most near).
      Me and thousands/millions have these in our doors, still today. Even old 5-pinner still exist, but the are not in the same ballpark - 25mm in depth, to 31mm.
      They cost a bit new +€100 with keys, and start to get dated since d12 took over and with a smaler price. And today we have a huge amount of China copies, so the profile is heavily used.
      But the locks are definitely not the same. Sweden is now downgrading in lock-protection.
      Not even Assas are as Isaac states, the same with generations. The old from 70-ties are the 176 (all with standard pins and no drill-protection etc.). Then in the early 80-ties came SCB with a sleeve (apparerntly Ruko had a 5-pin sleeve version, I didn't know about until a week back),they are not common anymore.
      The right one you search for, from amout 1985-today, should be stamped SCD on the cylinder. Then yet again, you can get a lot of versions with master pins. I guess used ones on sale will be mastered ones, and different key-profiles. The cores will be milled, and the correct pins would be there.
      I guess I can not pick it (yet).. But I have picked an Abus copy (same profile) with spools, though.
