If it's tangy fish then used tangy cherry tomatoes or if u want more tangy then used tree tomatoes grown abuntant in nagaland n some parts of upper Assam. Tangy fish can b cooked by Outenga (Elephant Apple).

Rajnikanth and amitabh are two people well known with their own style. One should not compare who is great among them, that would be disrespecting both great actors of Indian cinemas. Amitabh being from Bollywood industry will be obviously well known celebrity to all in the north. Whereas south Indian actor Rajnikanth is from tollywood and he made mark in the entire country and outside country as well ( even after his cinemas are mostly in tamil and south Indian languages) by his talent. He is also a person who was a bus conductor and turned to a superstar. Both Rajnikanth and Amitabh are great actors in their own industries with the fan following so it is bad to compare.

My comment doesn't involve any such abusive words nor any hate comments. It was just an act of appreciating two biggest stars for their incredible contribution to Indian film industry.
I'm from Assam specially Assam is famous for vot jolokiya ( ghost chilli)😪
Just one thing...
Authentic assamese fish tenga is made with "Huthi" tenga made from sundried bor thekera(Garcinia pedunculata)or raw mango ...which is much similar to "Kokum" from south india...
but i do understand it'd be hard to find huthi tenga in Delhi so lemon is a good alternative , however the taste would differ to some extent.
B. krishnakamal there is no such confinement especially when it comes to food. Masor tenga should.be tenga, i.e sour. Moreover she lives in a.big city, might not have the items available at disposal

kaushik das...Infact there is confinement when it comes to authenticity ( by authentic I mean the age old recipes passed on from generations,and still being used by some people without adding any personal twists to it),..You can make fish tenga with citric acid ( a souring agent used in food) too because its sour, but that wont make the recipe authentic.I am talking about the authenticity dear friend. I'v seen people making Narikolor laru with suji, maida added to it , Even seen pithas stuffed with stawberry jam and chocolate..yes i'd say they are pithas and larus and definately tastes good...but they are improvised not the authentic recipe. I hope you get my point this time.
B. krishnakamal tenga is sour. Food is not quantum mechanics. That analogy you gave right now was just not making sense. Anyway. Replacing a sour thekra with another sour citrus fruit is not such big of a personal twist. Replacing til with a super non indigenous fruit like strawberry is. I hope you get the point. If i am to agree with the essay you have written, we are not eating chicken biryani, we are earing chicken stuffed steames rice since the authentic recipe the muslims used had red meat in it. I get the connoisseur you are. Do not be a dogmatic person. Let evryone breath. Like i told you, food exist becaus it has variations.
Also try Assamese local dishes like kosu thuri with tomato,maas pitika, silkworm,etc etc..it's really interesting 🤗 n tasty too...
