  • Recently I was in Panama City, Panama having an unforgettable experience... & I vlogged the entire thing. In this episode, our new big homie Dave (who we met earlier via Uber on our Casco Viejo adventure) scooped us up at 8AM to transport us to the Taboga Island Ferry. We proceed to embark on the 30 minute ferry ride over to the secluded island to enjoy the neighborhood, beaches, scenery, & the authentic Panamanian seafood... all while picking up some legit sunburns. Once we arrive back, I link up with my new friend Adonis (who was whipping up those spicy Chicken Shwarmas in the previous vlog) to get a better understanding of what life is like living in Panama as a Cuban immigrant. Enjoy!

Nice video. Yes poverty and hard times are the normal throughout the country for the locals. I’m going to Panama in a couple of months. Do you still keep in touch with Adonyas? I’d like to help him in someway.

If you’d like to reach out to me via instagram at @mitchellbailey7, I’d be more than happy to get you guys in touch. If you don’t use instagram though, shoot me an email at mitchell@youngsuperstars.ca & I could connect you two!

Adonis seems like a good dude. Tough situation, but if he is making $480 dollars a month it's probably because he has no papers to work in Panama and his boss is taking advantage. Minimum wage in Panama City is $721 a month. It is nothing compared to Canada's minimum wage, but it's the highest in all Latin America.

@@YoungSuperstars If he has a Panamanian wife or children born in Panama he can get legal residency through them and therefore access to better paying jobs. Nobody with a college degree makes less than $1,200 a month in Panama City.

guillermo gouldburn solid information! i know he currently has neither of those things. i just think he needs to get out of his current working situation & look for a better opportunity. are you living in/from panama?
