    Awesome information. I have watched several of your podcasts. This is one of the best in mu opinion as I am getting my below the right knee amputation done on 10/11/2023. It has to be done so, as strange as it may sound, I am looking forward to it. thanks for the helpful guides.

    Awesome video and insight 👌🏽
    Are there any shrinkers available for transfemoral amputees to help with conning and oedema management during pre-prosthetic management or the traditional way of conning is the only way to go with transfemoral amputees?
    Thank you

    I am 5 weeks out (aka) and still have staples. I'm very concerned as the staples are becoming embedded. Also i haven't been shown any of these residual limb exercises/care techniques.
    Ought i be concerned?

    What is the name of the technique you are using when "massaging" the incision site?

    • @MissionGait
      @MissionGait  Před 3 lety +1

      This is a deep friction massage as originally proposed by Cyriax, for the purposes of preventing scar adhesions. It is sometimes also known as scar massage/mobilization, or a variation of soft tissue mobilization (STM).
