- People are so irritating, I want to put this BMW Z4 into the crusher ! Selling a good car is impossible, This is why Carmax and Carvana exist ! #bmw #bmwz4 #carsales #carmax #marketplace #autopartscity
This is why dealerships get away with paying like half of what a car is worth for a trade in. Private sales are just huge headaches.
It's awesome that you're being a good friend and helping out. it's really rough to even drive a car these days because the maintenance cost is through the roof. I went to this one shop for over a year and had all this stuff done, the parts kept breaking, one right after another because they only gave you a 3-months to 6-months warranty and said that was something that they were looking into changing and the bad reviews were from the previous owner to just give them a chance and I wouldn't be disappointed, well I'm very disappointed because that car had to go to the junkyard☹️ so I guess the moral of the story is know what brand of parts are going in your car and ask about the warranty ahead of time and don't believe anything that's not in writing🤷♂️ because the bottom line is no matter what they say, they're not your friend and they don't care if your car goes to the junkyard because they just want the money at the time😢 so now I finally understand why so many cars go in the crusher and I guess that's why public transportation is thriving.
I got rid of Facebook and Instagram. They wanted a state ID for my car's Instagram. Also, I couldn't list a wore out pickup truck for $2500 because they flagged it. I had to list it for more and put $2500 in the description. Yet, scammers have the same copied/stolen photo of a nice rust free old car for $1,000 posted in 10 cities. Meta is a joke.
Yeah, I quit Facebook just as soon as the news broke about them selling personal information. I may have had it for 3 years, canceling my account was a nightmare
Pretty much sums up all the clowns on here that demand you save it but yet make no effort to buy it
God forbid they imagine being in the seller’s shoes and see what they have to go through.
I highly doubt that most of the commenters are actually close enough to buy that, but it does show it's frustrating to sell a car
"Hi, is this still available?"
"No, I sold it two weeks ago. I forgot to remove the ad."
i'm glad it wasn't crushed, they're cool cars
Not really, they're overengineered headaches.
@@donniev8181 they're cool overengineered headaches
@@doyallsellcrablegs lmfao that was a good one, it's an older car so you shouldn't expect amazing reliability
Also older bmws aren't to bad on reliability. The only car that I own is an E46 with over 190k miles that I regularly circuit race. It still holds up well.
So it's the owner who is unreliable when it comes to service their bmw, not the car itself being unreliable!
@@donniev8181
You're speaking as someone with zero experience of them, arntcha.
321,000 and has a check engine light on!
Yeah but the uber driver changes the oil unlike other owners.
@@ryanalswede3475he did a lot more than just oil changes buddy guarantee you that. Junky shit boxes
321,000 miles? How,
@@stacksofslaps7442 By driving for Uber. It might be his only job. Professional drivers can drive 5,000 miles a week or more.
@@Voltor07cap. that's 89 miles an hour if you worked 8hrs 7 days a week. or 59 miles an hour if they did 12s every day.
if this Equinox is 4 years old and we assume it was driven every day for 8hrs, it would only be 27 miles an hour, which is actually possible.
of course, no person should be working that much. 7 days a week is just for the sake of the equations.
I'm not sure if it's Marketplace or just people today. Years ago, I put my Ford Escort on Craigslist and it sold within a day. My phone was blowing up all day and the first guy that came to look at it bought it.
It’s marketplace. Special type of people on there.
It's a $6,500 BMW, the people asking questions are being smart. BMWs have insanely high average repair costs and used BMWs are a huge gamble, especially any with decently high mileage, which for a BMW is 60-80k. Around the 80-100k mile mark they start having all kinds of issues and are so complicated to repair that most people cave and use the overpriced dealerships for it.
At that price range you're also selling to lower income brackets on average. When I bought my current car for $6,900, I had to make sure it was absolutely perfect because I had $10,000 to my name and needed a reliable way to get to and from work every day and I wasn't going to get a second chance if it ended up being crap.
The people not showing up for appointments are assholes though. Should have at least had the decency to call and let you know!
You’re annoying. “Perfect” used car. Why wouldn’t it cost as much as a new car then?
You’re a clown.
Yeah, this. Another thing I noticed is that sellers also seem to have an issue with you bringing a mechanic or wanting to get it checked at a shop. I've showed up on time to see 3 different ~20 year old cars and all of them balked when I suggested that to be confident in my purchase (which is necessary for cheap old cars, obviously). We all collectively know FB is full of shady people, yet we feel like we don't have to prove ourselves trustworthy...lol
@@elanv They balk because they know you’re dumb and hard to deal with for thinking a 20 year old car won't come with a decent repair bill to have it sorted out.
Law of lemons. Most "perfect" used cars won't get sold.
The 300k chevy is the most amazing thing ive seen in a long time!
He had a Ford Fusion with 500k a couple months ago 😂
That Uber probably went through the mechanic shop atleast 30 times a year to get that maintenance done 😒
This is why traded in my car recently. Endless messages, endless questions. Then when you do sell it its “oh i took it to my mechanic and he said it needs a new engine but im willing to settle tor 4k in cash”
Next video....
Equinox meets the crusher.....
The owner definitely will have gotten his money's worth out of that one...
@@4500azyea unless he’s done the motor or transmission multiple times…. Which my guess is both at least once…. 😂
Wouldn't " Cars and Bids" or " Bring a Trailer" have been a better platform to sell that car than Marketplace?
Absolutely. And knowing those buyers, it'd probably sell for more than he listed it on FB. 😂
No kidding, you post a million pictures of the car, and people want a million and one.
Facebook marketplace sucks!
Facebook sucks in general, there's no benefit to knowing everything everyone is doing. It brings out the worst in people, virtue signalers are helping to ruin the world and Facebook is full of these people.
This happened to me trying to sell our clean 2003 grand Cherokee…. 140k miles, all original, no rust (pa) hundreds of questions, two test drives, and yet no one would buy it for 3500. Finally gave up and had it inspected to keep as the inspection was running out at the end of the month.
Always a pain to sell anything. From my motorcycle, guns, expensive car parts. Its just all low balls and ghost.
Hahahahaha. I know that pain selling my Bmw x1 3.5 and a 740Ld endless tire kickers and time wasters😂
I threw away 2 cars that needed work but were I decent running shape, Audi and a Pontiac, an needed little work just so I would not have to deal with the BS!
Did you not look into trying cars and Bids, or Bring a trailer? Both those sites are solid auction sites for cars.
You are 110% correct.
I would suggest make the classified ad, then in the description stat that you won't respond to messages, and if anybody wants to buy it, they'll have to come look at it in person, then give the address and business hours.
Not to mention all the low-ballers who had no intention of buying the car.
No one had the intention at all
Better off using something like bring a trailer where the buyers are actually serious instead of fbm. That website is trash even as a buyer. I had a guy back out of a sale to me because the car “broke”.
Wonder who gives a better price in that situation - Carmax or Carvana ? There’s also peddle
I bought my truck from the Carmax in Tinley Park, IL
I do not have marketplace account, so don't look at cars there. I do look at cars for sale on craigslist, so maybe you marketing should be improved and listed in both spots.
Keep uploading 😊
Thx
What if all those inquiries and appointments were from Carmax and Carvana AI message bots 😂
Nice Supra, oh wait
For some reason dealers think people are going to keeo biying 200k mile cats for 10k
10:02pm June 20th I’ll put an inquiry in
and you don't say what Carmax gave you for the car...$2500?
Exactly, one of the messages he had was "$5500 cash in hand" which he didn't respond to. I highly doubt carmax gave him that much.
Nice car
OK, listen man. Nobody wants that car. It’s too costly to maintain. And apparently you don’t realize that people weren’t buying cars right now. The freaking market is crashing.
Then why are they asking about it?
@@CheepchipsableTalk is cheap
Cause they ain't go no money!
How much did you end up getting from Carmax?
Ur amazing
Hey I’m on your site right now looking for a car seen a 04 impala ss should get in contact with me
Carmax offer - $22 and a bag of frito lays
Facebook marketplace is a waste of time
Cannot believe that elderly folks thought they wanted a little sports car that sits so low in the first place.....plus you pronounce Carvana totally wrong. LOL! Never heard anyone screw that one up before.
How do you pronounce it? Sounded normal to me
They were in their 60's when they bought the car in 2004. Probably pretty mobile and spry back then.
selling an old, cheap japanese car is really easy as long as you price it fairly. ive sold 2 old nissans within an hour of posting them, cash sales. anything more than say 5k and an american or german car - take it to a dealer
Dude you're asking way too much. The car is 20 years old, not too mention it's a BMW which means you're going to be paying "the BMW tax" everywhere you go. Should be more like $3500.
Nope. Even a beater Z4 is worth more than that. You’re definitely one of those lowballers on marketplace who gets nowhere in life
The Z4 is amazing to drive. Also old BMWs aren't unreliable, it's the owners that are unreliable when it comes to doing srevices.
My E46 has 200k miles and I circuit race it regularly, and it holds up well.
Hahahah WHAT?! $3500?! I bought a beater Plymouth breeze at auction 15 years ago for $3500…. Lemme get your drug dealers number!!!!
E85/E86 Z4's were not great. The suspension was brutal in that car, but they didn't put in an LSD on anything but the M models.
Did the Uber driver bring you to the junkyard and leave his Equinox with you?
Sad thing is I have the money and would have bought It in an instant had I seen it no questions asked it was an older couple and most if not all old couple cars are in good condition
Yeah sure buddy , you're just like everyone on here
@@danh2134 6,400 isn't alot if you save I bought my first car for 7 grand just from saving from the odd job here and there I'm in the market for either a good project car or something well taken care of like the BMW in this video but to be honest the BMW is not my preferred car I've actually been talking to a local guy about buying his 78 camaro off him point is 6,400 isn't hard to attain if you know how to manage and save. So don't be rude
@@thesacredhecker but you didn't buy the car , no one showed up to buy it .
@danh2134 I didn't say I tried to I'm saying I would have most likely purchased it if I were in that area which I'm not if I were in that area and I had seen the post on marketplace and the drive to pick it up is at most an hour away hell yeah I would have gone for it. It's a right place right time kind of thing
DAY 39 OF ASKING FOR A STOLEN KIA OR HYUNDAI
that car isn't worth 6500.. im sorry, u shouldn't be surprised that nobody wanted to spend that much on a 20 year old bmw, u have to be insane to or u have it like that (95% of us don't!) and considering they just wanted it gone why tf would YOU post it for that much??? 3500 definitely seems more appropriate and definitely would've been gone next day, not at 6500 tf
I had a Mazda Protege with 345 k mi and they wanted a good price which means they also wanted everything to be perfect. Engine had leaking head gasket and large hole in driver seat and AC only blew cold on high. The wanted to buy for $1500 or less in mint condition... without spider🤣😂😛😝🤪😜🤑🤮😎🤠😭🕷🕸
Facebook marketplace is a never ending frustration 😂
