It's amazing how far Al has come. From semi-mute Turbo Yoda who would barely speak a complete sentence on MCM while sticking a turbo... on something he often hated, to speaking non-awkwardly for a full episode about his dream build.
Honestly Al, i love your Crown just as much as Hulkosuka, maybe more.
@@RoadskiN ... Moog from Mighty Car Mods coined the name Turbo Yoda, being something of the God of one line quips. For example, I'll never forget his layman explanation for how a Honda Vtec engine works : - "... at around 3.000 revs, 500,000 unicorns all fart at the same time, and rainbows fire out the exhaust ...". I rest my case ... 🤗 ...
Agreed
Yep Al couldn’t speak and Woody was the punching bag all good now
I think a subject he is passionate about helps 😉 but yes, he has most certainly become more comfortable in front of the camera
I’ve said it before, but episodes where Al just talks and shares knowledge are some of the best!
I second this sentiment!
Al is such a knowledgeable cat, being educated by him is a joyous opportunity, every damn time :)
*TurboYoda streaming consciousness* mint
As a younger man I have so much respect for Al. I know people always say this kind of stuff but it’s true, he is literally an inspiration (for me).
He comes across as intelligent, curious, meticulous, practical and thoughtful. He talks about mental health, which honestly pretty much every one deals with to some extent in the year 2022. You can see he is clearly surrounded by many friends.
Woody thanks so much for supporting this project in all the ways you do. Almost too many to list, I can confidently say these projects and this CZcams channel wouldn’t be what they are without you.
There is nothing like a crown for picking it up and putting it down!
I’m glad someone else hums it when they hear the name
@@lordcaptain73 once it gets stuck in your head in the shower, yer farked!
You got a Makita Cap😆
Anyone who has been through the process of building a bucket list car can probably see how and why blokes sell 90% complete or even 100% complete projects for cents on the dollar. It's certainly not for the faint of heart. Big props to you blokes for seeing it through and for meeting what probably seemed like an impossible deadline. It's a beautiful ride, and it'll be a dead set *ANIMAL* on the road 💪🏻
That's why i still haven't started mine yet 😅
This was such a well thought out build, it just had to be finished! Keen to see it a Sema 2023 hey😁 haha
Is it really that stressful? Great way to talk someone out of it, lol.
@@ThatGuy_21 ... it really is that stressful. So stressful, I've already kicked the chair away and am dangling from the noose as I type ... 🤗 ...
@@ThatGuy_21 Nah, it's not stressful at all. You can ignore that rusting hulk under a tarp in the back yard for decades, hardly even remembering that it represents failure and procrastination.
@@ThatGuy_21 What project car have you finished?
Thanks Al & Woody for letting us be a small part of this project. It's not every day you get a chance to machine parts like these. It was a lot of fun, and a little heartache, which makes the end result that much sweeter. If you ever catch some rando climbing under the Crown, it's just me checking out my parts! 🤪
Cheers mate. It certainly looked like a lot of time and skills required. Pity we had to paint them,I wanted to keep the shiny billet.
Great series Al & Woody - always wondered how and when you get your vehicles engineered and rego’d. Any chance you could do a video that included that process ?
Plus 1 for this.
Queensland is the best. The approved persons scheme makes it pretty easy to register engine swaps and such the sunshine state
also love to see that process
Have to have a mate who just closes their eyes and ticks boxes here in WA 🥲😅
@@dank_productions94 W.A sucks
That look on your face whilst strumming the belt shows how much you love that car and how happy you are it's alive👍
Never an issue listening to Al talk. Always something to learn and no crap, just economy of language and some good digs. Keep putting out whatever you can guys.

Frank really smashed it out in 24 hours 🔥💯
Thanks so much fellas! Really do appreciate the content and keeping us in the loop with TSF 🍻
Took me 6+ years to do my Porsche 930 motor. Then I changed all the rest. I can relate to this. Great to hear someone be real about passion projects.
It was pleasure to tag along. Thanks!
Other than the instagram video, im still excited for the shed skid
Al is such a humble knowledgeable & genuine guy. 🙌
Loved watching this build! And all the others. But was the fart at 10:38 intended 🤔 🤣 keep on with the great work!!!👍👍
Yeah I thought that too. 🤣
Also a fart at 1:29
The ultimate project and all the things you dreamed of in it, the realisation of a dream. Enjoy it!
Good in you Al for getting stuck in and just doing something that you wanted to build. Nice to see you pull off such an impressive project and not be deterred by the cost versus personal satisfaction and enjoyment
I am impressed with the 3D prototyping.
So happy for Al. Crown might be the coolest car on the channel tbh.
Hands down the biggest legends on the CZcamss.
I love the Aussie banter and genuine mateship that is expressed by all the guests and visitor to the shop. This just goes to show how awesome you both are!
Thank you for all your knowledge that you offer to us, it has certainly helped me personally with tackling bigger jobs than I thought I could.
Keep up the good work lads and lets aim for the 1 Mil subs.
👌👌
Al your Mechanical Skills are Amazing how you make things happen and Work ..... but
ya belt picking foot stopping action is next level !!!
Big Hat No Cattle !
Love you and Woody's classic stuff
This presentation was AAA rated Absolutely Authentic Alan. This whole series has been the best for many reasons, what a vision.
1:28 those barking frogs always getting a word in. 🍻
You guys own car builds are the best but this one is above and beyond
Well done Woody and Al. That was one of the most exciting cars you have built and the best build series so far.
ABSOLUTELY CHEERING FOR YOU AL! What a series guys. Fantastic to see it all come together ❤️ it...
Congrats Al, beautifully engineered car you've outdone yourself. Cheers from NZ.
I can't wait to see you give it a hit down the quarter mile eventually and the paint is perfect.
Mega build. Amazing to see how many people were involved to make it happen
Deffo a keeper - Well done to all involved 👍👍
I also like banana on toast...👌
Bloody brilliant, top job guys!
I’m liking the retro logo on the front of the shirt almost as much as this build. So much awesome
Just got to the end, you guys are awesome.
Well done 👍, enjoy it
Great job guys, it’s great to see Al so touched by everyone’s generosity
🤣another fart at 10.37 dont blame the dog.
Congratulations Al and woody . Very cool series . Al hope you enjoy.
great build, great car, great rundown.
I honestly believe this is one of the best and most unique builds on CZcams at the moment and an absolute testament to the quality of work and content you guys put out
Bloody awesome build Al and Woody! Thoroughly enjoyed watching (and dreaming myself) the build, and making it to Gus’s formal. Keep you the great work guys 👍
Woody will do an ‘intercoolie’! 👞🍻
Great car Al, thanks for sharing your build. Awesome combination.
Love that you guys are happy to sling new Tech in old cars! 👌
I can imagine it being expensive onmy Toyota crown 1970 model, that's good
I totally understand where you're coming from. Once you go outside of what is commonly available or aftermarket kits, you're on your own to figure out the design and what fits, what doesn't, and what has to be fabricated. Usually there's lots of trips to the wrecking yard for research and test-fit parts, or you're making the guy at the parts store head explode.
this was an awesome series, thanks to all involved. It seems like the perfect storm of Al, Woody and the formal forced the issue.
You can see Al has poured all his heart and soul into the Crown, had a great group of mates to get it done. must be super proud, been a pleasure to see the process, thanks gents.
It's a thing of beauty. What a ride - in every sense of the word. It's wild.
Thanks guys. It's been an excellent project to have followed and I., along with many others I am sure, hope you get loads of enjoyment out of it,
So sweet to see the project wrapped up! Very cool car and cool guys.
Nice wrap up guys. So honest. Always great to reflect on the bad and the good! Turned out sickk
Fantastic work. And yeah, the division of labor is really understandable. Bravo.
It's amazing how fast builds add up
I hope the Crown brings you nothing but smiles for years to come Al!
Congratulations Al and Woodie.
Great to see people stepping out from the shadow of the dreams and actually getting after it!
As always, awesome work all, congrats.
Enjoyed this series guys and enjoy the toy Al as I have respect for anyone who gives new life to these lovely old lady's no matter of make or model....
Great build fellas, excited to see more of it from time to time.
Everyone needs a mentor like Al in their life
I have a tear, and wood. Well done big fella. It's needs all the people to bring it to where it is now, but seeds come from legends like you.
Amazing to see you doing a car of your own for a change! Thing would be a bloody handful!
Your boys are sure lucky to have you! Love the build and love watching you guys work!
Its the best show i watch on YT. Thank you Al and Woody and helpers. Someone sponsors these guys to make more baddass builds. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Well done Al you have the car you want that's an inspiration for people to get off there arse and get it done myself included well done pal and what a great group of friends you guys have awesome!
Incredible work by Al and equally important the collaboration with top notch specialists he was able to get engaged in the project. Quite an education just being able to watch!
That was a wicked piece of video guys. The feedback honesty on the shortcomings you've seen to address, the shout out to the mate contractors, can fully appreciate why you're holding on. Great vehicle you've created and a testament to your team skills.
Congrats on 250K subs!
Amazing project, amazing car, love the Skid Factory content!
You two are Great. Keep it up. Amazing build.
Wooo we love you al Gonzales
Awesome job fellas. I'll take this opportunity to recommend Hoppers Stoppers, they recently upgraded my non existent brake system on my 70 series cruiser, I could have gone down the Bendix path like most CZcamsrs recommendation however I wanted to support a small local business. Issues were encountered during the upgrade and the Hoppers team went above and beyond to resolve everything. In addition to supporting a local business I felt that Hoppers could be trusted due to the Skid Factory's positive experience with them too - I was not disappointed. Support small local businesses whenever you can!!!!
Hoppers Stoppers are good people. Family company from way back and still is.
Such a cool build, you lads are legends and excellent engineers 🔥💯👊🏻
Definitely my favourite show to watch period(not just CZcams). Thanks for all the content.
I love seeing people talking about what there passionate about. Amazing car. Great job.
Yes, A new video! Love you guys
Cool stuff. Glad you made it happen.
She’s a stunner
About time that you can do your own bucket list project. No fuses or relays! Amazing.
Absolutely loved the vid and the FART at 10.38 or 10.40 was very amusing and educational
Absolutely love this build ! Congratulations on how it turned out ! You’ve built something that is completely different to the norm and is a one of a kind ! Good work Al and woody
Go make the most of it !
Well done Al and team. Awesome car
Harrop is the real deal. I did a bunch of research on them whilst looking at superchargers for the ft86, before I ended up selling it. I'd definitely go with their kit over others.
Awesome vid guys, the car is a weapon, loved every minute of this series. Glad you got your one and only Al!
Congrats on 250k guys. Awesome channel.
I was not expecting that bill, jesus.. but i'm glad you did it, it's amazing.
Well done fellas credit to you both. Great honest vid and world class build.
Thought you liked turbo's 🤣

Great episode lads. Loved this little run down. Thank you. Would love to see how the engineering process went.
MY HARROP 2300 IS INCREDIBLE. best blokes happy to answer all my questions
Al, I'm so happy you've built this car and are so stoked with it. You and Woody are legends, and the love and care you show each other is beyond admirable, mixed in with a healthy dose of piss taking.
That was really good.
Thanks for sharing.
That's a crown fit for a king. All hail King Al. Well done on the 250k subs also. On the road to 300k.
Cool car nice build. I have a 74 crown. It’s staying factory matching numbers & all. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
Love this build. Love the channel. Love Al & Woody.
Nicely done guys, epic build, my favourite series so far, although the hako was close. Looking forward to the finishing-off video(s) 👍
