In the edit they pulled out the freaking maxilla, not just the chin. And that is actually one of the most difficult things to change. You can get chronic pain for life and it's not recommended for everyone. Usually it is for severe cases to improve functionality of dental oclusion and life quality. This is not realistic for 99% of people. Hopefully you can redo this with a more conservative edit in a longer video.
Exactly. Maxillofacial surgery is complicated, and takes more time in surgery, and involves CUTTING INTO JAW BONES. It's this last part which can cause complications and which is very tricky to do correctly.
If it does not go well, it can result is SEVERE pain and other problems.
Also, healing time is far longer than other facial surgeries.
In comparison, nose surgery is one the easiest surgeries, depending on what is done. Downtime for healing is a lot shorter than jaw surgery, and complications generally far fewer and less severe (especially for the 1st surgery - complications can arise with later revision surgeries to the nose).
Nose surgery is a lot cheaper than maxillofacial surgery, making it more of a realistic choice for many people.

That’s what I feel like plastic surgery is trying to accomplish- people who all want to take away their unique features so they can look like stereotypical models A, B, or C.

I have a profile similar to this woman. Ive believed for a couple of years now that my nose is too big for my face and i need to get it reduced. Reading all of these comments really surprised me. Its helping me change my view of how i look at my face.
Most people will find exactly this part attractive about you, but they will think that part in their head instead of telling you directly. How often do we find something beautiful about someone and we will never let them know. Even strangers in the streets... i was also feeling like you as a teenager, growing up looking at the media.... later i realised that there is absolutely nothing wrong with me. And would i seriously wanna go to experience the pain and healing process and uncertainty about the result by letting someone do a surgery on my nose... i wouldn't do this nowadays.

Anybody feel like this completely unrealistic??? Lol They moved her entire jaw forward in the simulation. In theory, yes, the whole face should be considered in terms of proportion and symmetry. But it doesn’t seem plausible that adding filler or even a chin implant would give the result seen. Seems like her whole entire jaw would have to broken and reset to obtain the after result.

@@murozmanWell technically speaking forward maxilla growth isn’t inherently masculine in fact it’s usually considered attractive because it’s indicative of better orthodontic health (for both genders). Also many female models have defined jawlines but it’s all about facial harmony. I think the girl looks fine either way though.

You didn't just change her chin you changed her whole jaw which is way more difficult than a nose job. Not everyone has enough money to completely re-do their face just to live up to unrealistic beauty standards.
He moved forward her maxilla (upper jaw forward growth) which is the bone of our midface and is connected to many other bones in the skull and no sane cosmetic surgeons will do that, it is HIGHLY DANGEROUS! A lot of our face bone structures/proportions are just genetics and that just it.
I've had sort of recessed jaw like hers, and all I had to do to fix it is... simply jut my lower jaw forward until the facial muscles got used to holding the jaw in forward position. It didn't even take that long to accomplish, and I don't even consciously think about it ever.
Thats a cheapskate thing to say. If you're going to bother getting any work done get the correct area done. Don't get the wrong area done because you're a miser. People spend too much money on handbags and cars to try look cool. If you're going to spend money do it correctly, thoughtfully and for the long term positive outcomes.
Don't think small and cheap.
These aren't beauty standards and you don't have to do this. You can still be pretty without having to be prettier.

This channel has a clear bias toward a certain face type. The super high cheekbones, no buccal fat, pointy chin, and almost masculine jawline sort of face. And yes this face type is beautiful and prevalent in the modeling industry but the more round, baby fat sort of face can also be very attractive too. It can be a lot more youthful looking in the long term. But of course that’s overlooked because there’s no surgical procedure for getting a cute round face 😂 it’s all about filling the pockets of this channel’s associated plastic surgeons.

Assuming she's even a real person, with the way people sign consent forms without reading them, it's very possible she agreed without realizing it. When pictures need to be taken for treatment purposes, the treatment consent form should mention it, but it usually specifies something like "for treatment, teaching, and/or promotional purposes."
I always just write in my own caveat that says images that show any identifying characteristics can only be used for treatment purposes.

Physical appearance in some countries like Korea heavily determines not only how you’re treated by others, but also the likelihood of easily landing a job (because of this they literally require a profile photo of yourself on resumes or for basically anything). So, if someone’s “conventionally unattractive” by their standards, life isn’t gonna be convenient living there. If not looks, then having a lot of money mainly replaces that value and status. Koreans tend to care a lot about material things like designers because appearing wealthy vs looking poor also affects how people treats you as well.

I’ve been seeing so much Gypsy Rose backlash recently saying that she should have had the same sentence as Nick and how she’s a danger to society and so on. I honestly don’t think that people who are going against her right now know what it’s like to have such a toxic parent. I grew up with manipulation (not to nearly the same amount as her) but I know how those tactics can really affect a growing child’s mind and how trapped it makes one feel. It's so crazy because beauty standards from culture to culture are wildly different and through time change. In some cultures having smaller chins is more desirable or a nose that is longer is more desirable. If we look at the movie stars from the past we will see the beauty standards change with every 10 to 20 years. Unless you have something incredibly wrong with your body, just leave it alone.
