I disagree. In terms of how much if a spectacle it will be, yes, but Francisâ contract is over and heâll end up fighting Fury which will be far bigger than this fight, heâs already the champion, so thereâs really no risk for him. If anything, he risks not getting a bonus, but I doubt that happens.

I'm rooting for Ngannou as much as I like Gane. The time when he snubbed Gane and Dana talking shit about his representative not accepting a watered-down contract ..kind of put the fans against him. But he's a good guy for sure, and I don't see him being cocky. That's not the Ngannou who fought Stipe for the 1st time. He sees this fight as a personal thing he must do, and as he said, he's not fighting for 500k per fight anymore. That's low for the heavyweight champion of the world in the biggest MMA organization. I agree. Before the first Stipe fight he fall for the UFC hype and was too cocky. Then he realized how they set him, Gane and Lopez up backstage to create drama as well as making him look bad because he wants more money or a boxing clause. But for some reason UFC don't wanna make it. UFC offered him a contract of 5-7 fights for his same salary. (3-4 fights can take one year or more)
That's why he didn't resigned. If he wins this fight his contract extends to 1 fight even if his contract expires just because he's the champ. But then He can have mega combat with Fury. Dream with a mega contract with UFC or whoever he wants.
If he loses he would be released or staying with the same or lower salary.
Knowing his story of perseverance and risk all he has and his life for a dream, I'm not surprised that he's gambling and risking everything again
If Cyril Gane wins he could become a great champion with lucky and his great fight IQ, and maybe dream with a mega fight with Jon Jones, Stipe Miocic, etc, and if he wins all of it, there would be no doubts he would be in GOAT debate.
