I’d advice getting a workers comp lawyer before going to an ime.

For a MVA that happened 5 years ago. It is absolutely hard to remember everything you told your family doctor!

I see the reasoning for this but have found wc is one of the largest scam. If their doctor says something they don't like your sent to another. Its ridicules to be sent to more than 12 doctors over the same injuries. Some doctors don't spend more than 5 min and then diagnose.

My IME was an hour long, all of them were so far.

What does the whole hour consist of?

@@Aryunna Will warn you. The report will 99% BS your injury and contradict real medical specialist no matter how serious it is. These doctors are basically evil and will be rude and phony with you on purpose. They are paid by insurance and that's usually their only income.
FYI my workers comp has been accepted for over a year but when the insurance found out I had permanent injuries they sent me to their most trusted QUACKS for IMEs to say I'm not disabled from work which makes no sense. But my claim is still approved because they know they fd up.
Paperwork took a bit. When you walk in they'll watch how you walk to the room to see if you're faking an injury. Record them secretly, stay polite and honest. I had to see neurology first. He did not evaluate me properly nor specialized in my injuries. I basically sat in the room talking for about 40 mins talking about my injuries and treatment. His "eval" was mediocre, about 4 mins max and a child could have done it. He did the basic "do you feel this" "can you see this" and that was it. He said my eyes are the biggest problem then I left. Got his report and he tried his best to give the insurance the most mild diagnosis he can think of and say your symptoms aren't from the work injury which doesn't make sense because I have seen multiple specialist and he can't even do or comment on my disability because he's not qualified.
But I had a normal eye doctor IME as well. Lasted about 30 mins after paperwork. He went AGAINST the insurance because he had to. You can't fake my injuries. Also had an 8 hour psych eval and he's basically the most evil, rude loser ever and basically tried to say I was faking for financial gain. He claimed I was fine the day of the injury but agreed with the first IME that it wasn't work related.. like???
My attorneys also noted the two quacks did some illegal things in their reports. Insurance seems to avoid going to court. MAKE SURE you read your reports word by word to point out discrepancies. Hopefully I can just settle this year so I can see my providers without a denial every time.
