I've never understood why people say you must not record car plates or if you do, blur then out. The plates are front facing and in the public domain every day, so what's the difference if they are captured on film or not? Do these owners have something to hide, especially at a car boot? Nicked goods or something like that and they will be incriminated if caught? Otherwise, I just don't get the issue unless it's a power hungry member of staff who feels important wearing a high Viz 😂
