Definitely the steal of the draft with great picks in the first 3 rounds a kicker and a punter that have been well above average with cold weather experience.
If Boutte can start to make consistent contributions the team will be playoff contenders again.

@Droa06 Yes, the biggest steal. A 6th-round WR touted as the poor man's Zay Flowers. His stats don't show how important he is to the team and how good he is.
The only WR that could make any claim that he's better than Douglas on the team is Bourne.
The inconsistent play at QB and OL has muted his stats.
I went to Liberty, and it was insane watching him live, always made the first guy miss. He was like a discount Zay Flowers in this year's draft. Both smaller WRs, but SUPER shifty and quick. I saw him around campus a few times too, he's not a big guy at all, but seemed nice enough from my experience of walking past him haha (ie he wasn't an annoying football jock lol)
Funny how the best thing to happen to the Pats offense was JuJu getting hurt.

He fumbled the ball against the Dolphins and was benched. Belichick addressed his benching, saying ball security is the most important.
He then suffered a head injury against the Saint and was out missed a game.

What crazy about that benching is Greg bedard went on his podcast after that game and said he spoke to a better dolphins defense player in the tunnel and he said to him that “damerio was yall best player and we bench him”. Great analysis....I first saw him a couple weeks ago and thought, wait a minute, who is THAT guy!? He looks special with his quickness and football IQ. I grabbed him on FFB immediately as a speculative add. I know the offense is suspect, but Patriots eventually figure it out.

Mm 4:45 where Mac doesn’t throw to Davis strong side wasn’t a miss. He saw the weak side blitz and Rhomondre knew he was hot and cut his route off to be an outlet. If ya look at Davis and Gisecki? Strong side they aren’t even lookin back bc the blitz didn’t come from their side so they’re runnin their routes normal and don’t know Mac is catching heat.
Essentially Mac woulda never looked up top when the blitz comes from the other side. Rhomondre did a good job seeing it since WR isn’t his full time spot. Hoping Douglas turns his targets into more Yac production bc Billy Bs offense and their personnel dont generate many chunk plays downfield. Let Mac believe he can lean on him
Lol not to be that guy, but also at 9:00 Davis is wide open on the bumble but he would never get the ball there. The play is designed for Mac to read the box pre snap and play the numbers. Against 6 offense knows they’re handing off.
Thats prob why Douglas threw up the mail box too. He saw the late blitz and knew he’d be the read against a heavier box . But the late blitz didn’t really matter bc it was too far away to impact the run design. Lol no QB is reading defbc he knew where the play was going but saw last 2nd the blitz was coming which changes the match up.
