Interesting how you pick your criteria so arbitrarily. Is there a reason to value pronunciation over grammar? She made a few grammatical mistakes, but pronounced them well.

@DBasedAlex ,in this situation, grammar is almost entirely irrelevant as the primary goal is rhyming and patter, since it's an improvised musical verse and arrangement. Jess, in particular has a minor tendency to slur pronunciations in improv songs of a tempo similar to this one.
So her not having any of those along with near perfect rhymes is impressive, from what I could tell the only "grammar" mistakes that can't be excused by genre or a different affectation of speech were the repeating of the word 'then' which could be excused by the placement of a comma, and her making a malformed statement in saying "just do, say as I mean" which still maintains the patter of the song. And though it is odd, gets the point across well for something that was improved in a patter song.
So I'd say it's still impressive since patter songs have a reputation for being rather hard to perform, let alone improvise while making jokes.

Jess is a next level improviser fr, like improvising songs is unbelievably hard and it’s a miracle anyone can make a single coherent sentence within the rhythm/melody that also falls within a rhyming couplet but Jess can improvise in a way that like has thematic meaning and just sounds as good as a song someone had time to sit down and compose, fuckin. Bravo Jess.

My director was a big fan of G&S. I was in Gondoliers, Pirates of Penzance, I think there was one or two more, but I can’t remember

He was on their show recently! Everything felt full circle.
Wayne, Brad, and Chip were unmatched for their ability to improvise song lyrics while singing them.
But this doesn't even come close to Wayne and Josie's Gilbert and Sullivan chiropractor song, even though it is very good.
They would but Wayne Brady can actually fucking sing. These guys are GREAT at improvising but their vocal training is abysmal. These guys also stumble a bit when coming up with the words.
Not trying to throw shade but you're the one who put them next to Wayne Brady. Hell no.

i do improvisation theatre and there are ppl that play the music like live yk. nobody is talking abt how the musicians also have to improvise thru this i always find it increduble
Yeah Improv musicians are fucking incredible. I do the kind of stuff the singers here are doing and we have a group, but only one musician and finding someone to step in for him is so fucking hard because it's a rare skill especially in amateurs it's nearly impossible to find someone who can do it at this level. I love my guy on the piano he's so freaking brilliant!
