Fun fact: in og console Call of duty games, melee used to lunge if you looked at someone while melee. Of course, you could still get shot And die lunging into someones bullets, but it was fairly useful. There was a perk back on console that dramatically increased that effect, called commando. With a tac knife attachment on your pistol combined with commando, people got nukes with a knife only back in og call of duty. They removed commando perk in black ops 1, but you could still lunge if the conditions were right, and the ballistic knife had a special lunge animation. I remember black ops 2 was when they removed lunge all together on melee. Only if the game had ballistic knives could you do the Og commando lunge. I personally miss the commando lunge where you plunge the blade into someones heart, I hope they add a animation to the lunge in codm. Melee in codm feels super floaty.
You know what there's already a feature that when you come close enough to an enemy a knife button would pop up and you can instantly switch kill your enemy with knife even when it's not in ur secondary and I've put that button on top of my fire button so whenever I get close to an enemy it does its job I got saved by this multiple times

This is called "Knife lunge", a feature refers to the act of your character lunging forward 4-6 feet at supersonic speeds to knife your opponent This feature is what made BO1 mp so frustrating, melee abuser in there was a complete fun-breaker.
Now peoples are spamming kali sticks because of it relatively long range and ITS wide area effect. You can just be at the right side or behind the enemy. Move a little and everyone around you dead. Not to mention that you could spam the kali sticks while running, making it the most frustrating weapon to go againts. Basically Wide range 3 swipes per attack Spammable while running Has little effect on the screen.
I don't really see any difference on the aim assist and the no sound kali sticks you still hear there foot steps and some knifes can be heard on the map

i say for meele it should be made a 2 hit kill just like it is in some games like csgo or such and then add any aim assist, infaxct also add backstab which would kill in one hit if hit at back
