loved the fact that Vesper is still present in Bond's mind even after all this time like he's haunted by her ghost..
It’s the same way in the novels. Vesper is mentioned in Goldfinger after the buzzsaw scene(laser in the film) and in On her Majesty’s Secret Service, it’s relieved that Bond actually travels to Royale to visit her grave every year
@@warrenrhinerson6373 not to mention that part where La Vie en Rose plays in Diamonds are for Ever
Well, He's with her again now. That's all that matters.
James Bond's blinded by his past (the death of Vesper Lynd, that of the former M., ...), the fears, the suspicion and the torments of his vengeful adoptive brother, Ernst Stavro Blofeld 💣💣💣💀💀💀👿👿👿, while rejecting the future and the new life that James could have had with Madeleine Swann and his future child 😥😥😥😭😭😭💔💔💔.
He wanted to say so much more. All he could muster was an “I miss you” yet we understood, we felt his pain, we knew exactly what he wanted to say
The fact that his secret is not that he's forgiven her, but that he's trying to forgive himself, is heartbraking. I love Craig's Bond to pieces. 💔
As Mathis said in QoS, “Vesper. Forgive her. Forgive yourself”.
Ended up in pieces didn't he?
@@latchie8893 big oof lmao
Well, He's with her again now. Forever.
That's all that matters.
Daniel Craig is the best Bond I believe..and I gave been following Bond since I was a kid..over 30 years ago
Since I am the Bond fan in my family, I got emotional hearing Vesper’s theme once again.
How is it gay? Vesper was Bond’s first love, well in the Daniel Craig films of course. It’s the same feeling I had We Have All the Time in the World was played earlier in the movie. And then emotional, because of that explosion in the scene. Isn’t emotion supposed to be what makes film so great? And besides, it’s been 6 six years since a Bond movie, it was going to be emotional because it was Craig’s last film.
Same! A beautyfull tribute to Vesper and the love between James and Vesper! 💞
The way the dust blows with her theme around bond is like she's there around him. It's got impact.
me too fam me too💔
Me too.
Poor Vesper can’t catch a break even after her death her grave explodes 😢
😥😥😰😰
Well, The terrorists destroyed her grave.
Poor Vesper can't even get to sit or lay on a bed as she constantly alive (metaphorically) in every opening sequences
*Explosion*
Bond: Oh gawd, not again.... every time i get even near this woman... lol
The score is just…beautiful.
david arnold VESPER theme 😢
Which scene does that matera track play?

what is the name of the first score, sounds magnificient with Vesper 's theme???

You can actually see there were both right about each other in Casino Royale. Bond thought that Vesper was like him a orphaned child and as you can see at the grave her Mother died when she was only two years old.
I remember getting goosebumps in the theatre, when I heard the melody of Vespers theme kick in…
Casino Royals
Quantum of Solace
Skyfall
Spectre
No time to Die
What a saga for this Bond
This scene and the moment he said “I miss you” while standing in front of her grave absolutely ripped right through me in the theatre. Thankfully I was sitting mostly alone in my aisle cause I shed some tears 😆
me too...
Same here 💔😢
I couldn't resist my tears when "you have all the time in the world" and "she does have your eyes" 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Me a life long 007 fan: "Wow, they went there." Bravo.
Most mature moment for our hero James Bond, to be a mourning widower visiting the grave of his beloved. I haven’t seen such in any recent film in memory. One reason I see this maturing self sacrificing hero James Bond as the best of all.
@@stevencarpenter9242 nah i prefer the arrogant cocky self centered womanizer cold blooded killer
I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic
Yeah that's the point of this scene, in casino royale we see him as a much more of an arrogant cocky self centered womanizer cold blooded killer, and he's showing his much more matured and selfless nature by paying his respects to Vesper and admitting he does in fact miss her.
@@neogigo Not at all. I loved this.
I didnt expect Zimmer to bring back Vespers theme. He doesnt really bring back themes he hasnt composed before.
He got vangelis composition for 2049
He doesn't usually have a reason to
Blowing up a grave to try and kill someone is actually really brutal. I love it
"forgive me". Vesper died knowing that James thought she betrayed him and he never got the chance to apologise. Quite sad really.
James:"I miss you"
Me:"Damn it"😢
1:12 There's a little bit of foreshadowing on what will happen to Bond at the end of the film in this part because if you look closely on top there's an inscription in latin which in english means "What you are, I once was, and what I am, you will be"
The Scars of first love never faded even after it just ashes..
P.s the score with the wind around him , just like he had that moment again of trying to catch her last breath ..
Or the spirit of Vesper whispering " you are finally here !! " XXX
Believe me the scars in my own heart they never fade. No matter how old you get it still hurts. I remember it very well I was in Middle School and there was a girl I loved well to be honest someone I had a crush on and I was a fool for never telling her my feelings ended ultimately stabbed my heart when I found out she was with someone else. And when I was in my early twenties there was another girl I loved and she worked in the same job I was working at and I never told her my feelings because she was ending a relationship with someone else she also had a lot of Father issues at least that's what I heard and then eventually it obliterated my heart when I found out she moved away I never saw her again and what can I say she was the one that got away. I think I'm just destined to be alone because no matter how sad I get no matter how angry I get I am just a person who wants love more likely to be loved by someone somebody who is not family related but somebody that I want to admit my entire Eternal unending love and unfortunately that person doesn't exist to me
So sad to hear ..
But in any cases " C'EST LA Vie "
we never get things as the order we want it to be .. - just like Bond .. a major love ended so sadly - but eventually he had life in a complete unexpected way..
And that's life .. you don't have hope .. you have nothing at all !!
And you're not "destined to be lonely " you're time hasn't come yet , you should hang in there and wait , wait for your Happily Ever After .
People like these are chapters in our lives.. some might give , others might take , but when the time come you gonna over take as long as you speak honest feelings..
All the best .
Awesome comment❤️❤️
@@ericsantana1184 dont give up hope. There is someone out there for all of us, we just have to allow them into our lives and be ready for them. Work on being your best self so that when your true love finally comes, you will be ready to let her in.
They're together now, forever.
I did not expect that when James visited Vesper's grave. He was truly in love with her.
Daniel Craig signed No time to die for this scene, he said somewhere "the story had something to do with Vesper, so I said let's do it"
…but it wasn’t about her. That’s why this film was crap because I thought it would be about her. All of his loose ends tied up in Spectre. There was no story left to tell but her.
@@rs7458 I totally agree, I was expecting more than just a scene, it was overall a good movie but didn't live up to my expectations. Unfortunately Vesper was used again...this time by the marketing team of NTTD.
The journey he had up to that point and he finally got the chance to let her go and at the same time “forgive her”. Was a beautiful scene til the boom lol
This scene touched me. How he still thinks of her. The music is epic
Poor Vesper (and her family!) no peace, even in death.
A small clue that Spectre was waiting there for a while is that the flowers were wilting. If they knew when he was arriving, the flowers would have been fresh.
On her grave, it says Vesper was born in 1983 and died in 2006. That would make her 23 years old when she passed. That's awfully young.
I thought she was like mid 30 in casino royale
same, but looking back all Bond girls are young women in their 20s
The actress Eva Green was born in 1980 so she is not much older then her character and was 25-26 years old during filming and release of Casino Royale
Exactly no one should die young it’s not right or fair
Besides death is a part of old life not life period
But hey at least after we die we can relive our past all over again
For 23, she had a very high profile and high paying job from the looks of it. Craig's bond would have been in his mid 30's. Interesting age gap.
The writing was literally on the wall. Reunited and together again.
I couldnot find it
@@nijatshukurov9022 it’s at Vesper’s tomb. Writers and directors say there’s an Easter egg that everyone missed
@@camille3083 please put the the time in video.
@@nijatshukurov9022 here is the quote from the interview they did with variety:
"There’s even a really important Easter egg on that tomb Bond visits in Matera," Fukunaga told . "Over Vesper’s grave - we never make a big deal of it, there’s no focus on it, but for anyone who goes back - two skeletons are holding up a banner carved in stone. It’s a Latin phrase that Mark and I had seen on the main basilica where the bridge is located. The phrase says, 'What you are I once was, and what I am, he will become.' So it was written in the beginning."
Q: Don't say it
All Bond ever wanted was some semblance of peace in his life. He thought he found that with Vesper, and had it with Madeleine for about two minutes. But that two minutes was all he needed to be at peace.
The music in this scene is just so beautiful and epic
I know some find Craigs take on Bond to be more sensitive and deconstructive BUT it’s moments like these that work effectively to convince you he’s less of a caricature and more fleshed out.
The score is fantastic!!!
That - I miss you is more valuable than 99.99% of youtube's content!
that music theme...hits me hard...
I don't know WHY this isn't on the soundtrack....
...other than giving David Arnold some royalties.
I miss you.
“I Miss You”…….
You really never get over your loved ones never not if you truly love them you got to know what it feels like to understand because I miss mine every day
Truly emotional scene
I find it strange that Vesper was buried in such a place. Why wasn't she buried in England/London?
This film scene is impressive and melancholic at the same time. Vesper is lonely and abandoned in her grave... one grave among many... James finds her again and he misses her...😢💕
When you realise that vesper was only 23 when she died
Which makes no sense
@@commanderdoom1319 How so?
@@commanderdoom1319 I mean technically it is, Eva Green was only like 25 when they were filming Casino Royale
Wtf I thought she was at least 30
makes no sense. How is a 23 year old gonna be a secret agent?
Make's even a grown man she'd a Tear, for you broke my heart Vesper like Tracy dying as Bonds Wife in OHMSS.
Blast from the past
Underrated comment.
It really is. (All the way from 2006)
The Cemetery scene in FYEO was a good callback even though they really underplayed it. This Cemetery scene in the 007 franchise is deeper
It was nice going back to shades of Casino Royale from this scene
As an Italian listening to this part, it’s funny to notice how the guy at 0:31 says “ue, i miei amici defunti” that literally means “ oh, my dead friends”. Doesn’t make any sense coming out with such a sentence from nowhere like he does. I wonder if the scene has been somehow cut from a longer one shot before the release of the movie.
Well, He's with her again now. That's all that matters.
That what his first love
Wish this score was on youtube and spotify
😥😥 Vesper I miss her
The circle is now complete...
I feel like the only reason they made the character 23 years old at her death is to get strong emotional reactions out of the audience, which would be natural when a character dies at such a young age, but Vesper looked like someone in her mid to late 20s.
Im sorry for me is bond and vesper all the way
Beautiful score and scene
Как жаль Веспер она так его любила и умерла чтоб сохранить ему жизнь
VESPER 🙏🙏🙏🥺🥺🥺🥺 BOND-I MISS YOU
Not only he has been missing Her all this time..
I wished he visited M’s grave
Alternate ending to No Time To Die: right after the white flash fills up the screen after the scene of Madeline crying, we transition to the gold gates of Heaven, God allowing Bond in. Felix nods at Bond, cigar in mouth, hugs him, says "good to see you, brother". Bond advances, sees M, whom shakes his hand with a warm smile, nods at Mathis, advances a bit more. Vesper, in her red dress, turns around, smiles. The two kiss, hug each other tightly, tears in boths eyes, Vesper saying, "hello" with a smile. Bond is on the brink of crying. "I missed you", whispers Bond. The two kiss passionately, arms around each other, everyone smiling, glad Bond got his happy ending. From a distance, Sean Connery and Roger Moore watch, dressed in crisp tuxedos. Moore pours a drink, gives a glass to Connery. "We have all the time in the world" utters Connery. Moore smiles, says "the world is not enough". The two drink, everyone glows exquisitely. Down in The Bahamas, in a guy, Mr. Pierce Brosnan pours a shaken martini, puts it to his lips, says, "the good chap stole my line", toasts, "To James". Drinks the martini. Roll end credits
LOL
Lmao, this would've been so good.
Lmao what no
Afterlife of this era james bond.. nice
1:38 epic credit roll scene
It made me somewhat melancholic and sad that they used the same score from Casino Royale
I miss you 😭😭😭
This should have been the ending (minus the explosion), not the opening, to close Bond's arc.
I respectfully desagree. As Bond-Vesper lover, I love this scene. But I find the fact that he died on point, and the correct thing to do.
Would’ve been a beautiful scene of Bond leaving with his daughter and Madeleine after “forgiving Vesper” and letting her go here to end the Daniel Craig era. You are right
This was when I knew Bond got the super soldier serum. No way you can survive that to the face.
I miss you!
Vesperのテーマが泣ける
Years old mission James, let it go. Not your fault.
Miss You
Forgive me ..
Thanks
Same music but other Feeling on the day he told on that plane!
what is the name of the first score, sounds magnificient with Vesper 's theme???
yes…it is a slightly different variant of vesper’s theme!
I believe that at the grave of vesper that her mum’s name is Elena Saylani Lynd and vespers grandparents are Fulvio and Emilia Saylani and her great grandparents are Antonio and Carla Saylani
The music...
Like what you did with the audio.
Could be a reference of "For your eyes only" when James Bond visits the tomb of Tracy?
If that was the case, he would've gone to Tracy's grave not Vesper's.

Vesper's grave picture is of her when James revealed the password for the winnings so how was this picture taken?
Another plot hole really, like her birth date. Lack if attention to detail.
@@mandybell8399 in terms of her birth date do you it should include month and day?
@@darkmvz6186 No I think they made her too young. Eva herself was born in 1980, why not just go with that? I do like this scene, but there’s silly things like the picture which is just a ‘still’ from the password scene and not an actual photo, and the birth year being waaaay out that take the shine off it a bit for me.

@@xxgwxx570 Yeah but since James is 38 or so, i thought Vesper must be at least 30. Plus, Vesper's character (and the actor) doesn't look 23 considering her sophistication and her work in the treasury.
Doesn't he also say "forgive me?" In this scene, or am i remembering it wrong?

This movie was pointless; all loose ends tied up in Spectre. …The film should have been about Vesper.
I’m a huge fan of Craig’s Bond, but I don’t understand… Vesper Lynd, probably orphan, died in Venice and for sure Bond, angry and frustrated, left her on the top of that building. He himself said later to M “the bitch is dead”. Why she’s conveniently buried in Matera? I liked the “Vesper hint” in Spectre… here it seems totally forced. Plus, if there’s one “more Italian” character who James could ask for forgiveness it’s Mathis.
He wouldn’t have left her. He would have got his ‘people’ at MI6 to deal with her body.
The grave at Matera, is clearly a family grave. That’s why she’s buried there. Again MI6 and the treasury would have sorted out her burial. I personally don’t feel this is forced, the only things wrong with this scene is that they made Vesper too young, and blew up her grave! Other than that, it’s a great scene. It shows Bond, doing something he has been avoiding.
I dont ever feel the chemistry between vesper and bond...i dont believe thst hes so depressed of her...
