@@Noid1220 same lol
Seen a few explanations of how it works so here’s mine:
What he’s asking you to do is essentially choose a number from each column that doesn’t share a row with another number. So, each possible combination of numbers can be expressed as a transformation of a diagonal line: 1, 6, 11, 16. When you choose a different number for any row, you move it up or down a certain amount. You add or subtract four from its value to move it down or up respectively. When you move one number from he starting point, it is necessarily sharing a row with one other number. So, you have to move that number to the only free row available; the one you moved the other number from. You have to move that number by the same amount, the opposite direction, so switching two numbers’ vertical positions will not affect the sum of all the numbers.
Therefore, all possible combinations add up to the same amount as 1, 6, 11 and 16; 34.
The sum is always 34. The sum can be written like this:
You chose a number in each row. The result is the same if you chose 1, 5, 9 and 13. To make sure to not have multiple numbers in the same column too, you add 1 to one number, 2 to another number and 3 to another number. Due to the Commutative law and associative law it doesn't matter how you add all of these numbers, meaning it doesn't matter which numbers you chose. 1+5+9+13+1+2+3=34 so the sum is always 34. Nothing here is magic.
i had: π + (-1) + 17 + 22
the result was 41.14159
-1 was above 2
17 was under 16
and 22 was under 15 by 2
"Predict your number"
"Oh but you can't pick the 2nd number in the same row as the 1st number lmao, you thought that magic was real?"

Where a+b+c+d is always 1+2+3+4 in some order thanks to every number being in different columns
0+4+8+12+1+2+3+4=34

Ikr
Yes sir

OMG lol
Thats how videos work
This trick can be much more surprising than what happened.
You can put any 16 numbers that are more complex and complete than what was shown in the video. For example, from 487 to 502.
Then the sum of the numbers to be chosen is 502 * 2 + 487 * 2 = 1978
For someone to try it out.
Probably just more practical with lower numbers, since people can’t do 1919040572 or whatever in their heads quickly
This is a great video to actually see who’s really following the rules, since even randomly picking four numbers or picking the numbers diagonally from the 4x4 table, the sum will always be 34.
I genuinely did not pick any number since it involves math and, nothing happened...
*MAGIC*
Wow
Me:picks 11, 8, 2, and 13
He:uses all as an example

Same
Me too bro
The numbers will be of the form 4*k + a and where k can be 0, 1, 2 , 3 depending on the row and a can be 1, 2, 3, 4 depending on the column. Since you're going through every row and every column necessarily, you sum every possibility irrespective of the numbers chosen so you get 4*(0+1+2+3) + 1+2+3+4 = 24 + 10 = 34.
How this works: assign labels +1, +2, +3, +4 to columns, left to right; and +0, +4, +8, +12 to rows, top to bottom. Every number in the table is the sum of its row's and column's labels (for example 9 = 1 (column) + 8 (row)). When you choose 4 numbers with non-repeating rows and columns, you're basically using all 8 labels exactly once (for example 1 + 8 + 10 + 15 = 1 (1's column) + 0 (1's row) + 4 (8's column) + 4 (8's row) + ...). So the sum of these four numbers will always be equal to the sum of all labels, 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 0 + 4 + 8 + 12 = 34.

Each number is a multilple of 4 from 0 to 12 plus a number from 1 to 4. They can be written as numbers like 0+2, 4+4, 8+3 etc for all 16 possible combinations.
Chosen numbers aren’t allowed to share rows or columns, so each of the sums’ possible parts can only be used once. The full sum is 0+4+8+12+1+2+3+4=34.
This is actually very easy I product the number in 2 secs .. you add the first number (1) and the last number (16) and you multiply the total by 2 =34 or simply you can add 1+6+11+16 =34 or you can add 4+7+10+13=34 or {4+13)multiply by 2=34 …. He started with one but if you started for example with 22 the last number will be 37 .. the production number will be (37+22 )multiply by 2 = 118

@@larashlomi8582 dude 3 and 15 are in the same column

I hope you’re joking lol
Everyone is predictable
@Dead Eye what did they say
Proof:
The fact that all 4 numbers have different rows and columns is what makes the trick work.
Each number is different mod 4 and /4 rounded down. So, what ever the sum is, it will be 4 * (1 + 2 + 3) + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4. Simplifying we get 12 + 16 + 1 + 2 + 3, which equals 34.
Bonus:
Using the equation for sum of numbers 1 up to n (n(n+1)/2), we can rewrite this such that it generalizes: n²(n-1)/2 + n(n+1)/2.
Easy explanation: You have to choose one number in each row. The numbers may not share the same column. If you would choose all Numbers in the right column (not allowed) the sum would be 40. In one row you have to choose a number 1 less than the one in the right column. In a second row you have to choose a number 2 less and in a third row you have to choose a number 3 less than the number in the right column. 40 - 3 - 2 - 1 = 34.

No matter what number you pick from each of the 4 columns and rows, you'll always end up with 34. All the numbers are meant to have the sum 34. The trick is that you need to choose a different number from a different column and row.
I got 33
9+15+1+8
@@sailorgo You picked 1 from the same column as 9. Your right numbers should have been 9 + 2 + 15 + 8 which would equal to 34.
@Mariam Awad 8 and 5 are in the Same row. Wrong numbers.
@Mariam Awad uuuuh yes😂, you picked 5 from the same row as 8. Your correct numbers should have been:
14 + 11 + 8 + 1 which is equal to 34.
It could also be 14 + 11 + 5 + 4 which would also equal to 34. No matter what number you choose from each of the columns and rows, you'll always end up with the sum 34.
I’m more mind blown than anything else
Video tells me to pick a number
Me: 10
Later in the video in 0:41, if you picked number 10-
Me: WHAT THE F______
This is not a prediction,
