The voluntary prayer is a sunnah prayer that accompanies the fardu prayer. The voluntary prayer that is performed before the obligatory prayer is called the qobliyah prayer, while the voluntary prayer that is performed after the obligatory prayer is called the ba'diyah prayer.
The sunnah rawaib prayers can be divided into two types, based on the frequency with which the Prophet Muhammad performed these prayers.
The first type of sunnah rawaib prayer is the rawaib muakkad prayer, which the Messenger of Allah always did. There are a total of 10 or 12 rak'ahs for this type of nursing prayer, namely 2 cycles before dawn, 2 or 4 cycles before noon, 2 cycles after midday, 2 cycles after sunset, and 2 cycles after evening prayer.
While the second type of sunnah rawaib prayer, ghairu muakkad. This prayer was not always performed by the Prophet Muhammad, sometimes it was done, sometimes not. This type of nursing prayer is an additional 2 rakaat after midday, 4 rakaat before Asr, 2 rakaat before maghrib, and 2 rakaat before Isha.
Rawatib prayer is a prayer whose implementation accompanies the Fard prayer.
The law of doing the Rawatib prayer is sunnah.
It should be noted that the sunnah rawaib prayer performed before the fard prayer is called qabliyah.
While the rawaib prayer that is done after the fard prayer is called ba'diyah.
