Thank you it’s my first expansion and playing this game for 10 months.
I feared my extreme Gear with normal Raid Armor isn’t enough and that I need Crafting Gear.
Now i know I don’t need .

Having i710 is very important! The penta melded crafter gear is more for week 1 raiders. The DPS check on these fights are the hardest in the whole game week 1,2 and 3. Having the penta melded gear helps to push DPS, but if you are progging slow and casually, the regular gear from Normals and Savage will help you get to floor 3. Also, there are new Tomes coming for even better gear so that gear will help for the weeks after! Happy Raiding!
Dont forget once Savage comes out, the new Weekly Capped Stonegear also will be out. And with 450 Tomes you could already buy your Hands,Head or Feet. The New Tomestone Gear will be ilvl 720.
Crafting and gathering stresses me out so much. The number of material I end up needing is astounding. It’s devastating when you go to try to meld a bunch of materia that you’ve earned through collectibles, only for every single one to break. Not sure how you all deal with it.
It really is true pain in this game, but the reward is so high! Don't give up. We have to do it 3x an expac, and the next gear set won't be for atleast a year, you got this!
Its not that importend to go full ham on your Gatherer since we dont get new Nodes. The lvl 100 Gatherer Gear even unmeldet is enough to get all the 1 star nodes and the Sand Collectibles. Also pretty sure the new Stuff isnt THAT hard to craft so you dont have to overmeld the crafter Gear with 5 Materias. Teamcraft already has a nice Budget Version that should be capable of craft the new Gear.
Yea, I figured that out today; I have one over melded materia 12 in each piece, and used Stuffed Peppers, I was well over the perception needed, and gathering for sands. Definately don't need penta meld, for sure, but just enough to get the 1 star Perception requirement. Such a relief, now gathering 1 star mats and sands. They are also all on a 12-12 cycle so its easy to just mindless get it all. I was worried I wouldn't hit the stats, but yea going ham is only for the expert gathering down the road or something. Thanks for the reassurance lol.

How are you able to save more than 4k purple scrips?
Store collectibles in your retainer.
What Akono said, you just make excess Purple Script items and store them in your Retainer/Inventory/Saddlebag. (According to my math about 80 of an item or so store, maybe not as much)~ Basically you turn them in, cap, buy a book, rinse and repeat on July 30

Here is all the prep you need: Uninstall Game, Cancel Sub, Go Play a real MMO. FFXIV is trash & I'm glad that it's numbers are finally starting to fall. SE has no clue what they are doing.

Yea I'd like to know a "real mmo" too like John. To each their own, one person won't impact FFXIV income, I've tried Lost Ark and WoW, but have been faithful on FF for 10 years! I love it, I'm happy, I will happily pay! Hope you find your Happy MMO too good luck!
