Metal detecting tips, tricks, reviews and comedy for all metal detecting types! #metaldetecting #bestfinds #treasurehunting
13:57 is the decorative seam in an old clay pipe bowl. The top of those leaves is the top of the bowl. Look at Nicola White Mudlarking videos. I like the new intro.
Yes! Thank you!
just about to put that! yeah clay pipe i agree 👍
Wheatsheaf is the pattern I believe. I have quite a few stems and bowl fragments.
Your flint piece with the cool color marks is a hide scraper. Good find!!!
A large bronze Cauldron pot leg 👍 .
Your metal detecting videos are some of the BEST on CZcams! They are entertaining, informative, and interesting in so many ways!...This video is one I've been looking forward to since I just ordered the Quest X10 and expecting it next week. It has many good features over the X5. The additional tones, custom mode and notching, in which you can make both jewelry and coin modes all metal by adding back the notches in those modes. Don't forget to mention the secret features of the X10 which are not in the manual such as the choice of frequencies if there are other metal detectors or EMI by pressing the Ground Balance and the UP/Down buttons. Thanks for the great video!! Looking forward to future ones!
6:55 looks like a pot leg or small cauldron leg
The second flint looks very knapped to me. The ventral side has all the features i.e. platform, percussion bulb and scar. The dorsal side shows evidence of previous flake removals.
Thank you for sharing your adventures, knowledge and humor!! Never fails to make me smile!😀
Glad you like them!
That second piece of stone is definitely worked by human hands. Over here in the states refined heaps of that stuff along with the points and tools.
I think the curled coin at 9:39 is an old lace tag .. They used to roll em for lace ends 👌 it's in your Finds Identified book Kris, page 83 - and your in Kent I believe? That's where the one in the book is from, Broughton under Blean 😉
Great video Kris and love the intro! That small thing you thought was a heraldic pendant is a watch winder and the red was the rust from the key bit that has corroded. Also that big lump of bronze ia a medieval bronze pot leg.
ah ha! Thanks old chap :D
Interesting finds Kris , I too have found a ring like the one in the video it seems to have a ceramic coating on it !! I’m sure also as mentioned that the lump of bronze is a pot leg. Great video mate.
Piece of pipe bowl not pottery I believe. And that flint with the red markings is definitely an ancient tool, and a cool tool at that! What great finds you made! My first video I watched of yours, now I will definitely Subscribe and watch more!
Welcome, Jenny!
You are responsible for a good deal of my sanity at this time of weird world happenings. Thank you☮️🇨🇦❤️
bronze looks like a pot leg maybe?
Great video and made better as you clearly enjoy the history element of detecting.
I do indeed :)
629 looks like a pot leg stunning bit of flint you found enjoyed the video
Fun to watch! 😎🍀👍
Thank you 😀
Interesting permission you have there. Some great finds, the ring is a curious one. Agree with others re: cauldron/pot leg. I do like the knapped flint 👍🏻 Thank you for sharing
Oh that Flint (Arrow-head/Spear-head) was Epic!! Love it chief. Great video, take it easy , see ya in the next 🙌🏼
Good dig, great finds!! That flint also looked a bit like an arrow head. We find those everywhere here in the US. It is my dream that you will one day have many adventures metal detecting in the states 😁😝😊
Always interesting, always educational, always entertaining. Always worth watching! Thanks fella, well done!
Cheers, John! :D
What a fantastic video so informative without a doubt the best CZcamsr out there what you see is the real deal for anyone getting into the hobby. Keep the videos coming GL&HH.
I appreciate that!
a leg to a kettle; a flint knife blade; DIPS or "Saddles" on a ridgeline, was used by prehistoric folks..., as witnessed by that flint blade and flake
6mins40, bronze couldron leg.
I reckon it's leg too.
My first thought was a tent stake, but a leg fits better
Pot leg
Hey kris, first flint looks like a leaf arrow head. Second flint looks like a waste flake struck off when making another tool (Probably a striking platform and a bulb of percussion)
Be interesting to see what else comes up 👍great vid matey👍
13:02 could be a bit of excess from worked flint... surely they'd break big bits off first and throw the junky bits way. Maybe whoever broke it originally looked at those red lines and thought same as you did.
13:40 looks like a bit of clay pipe bowl mid 1800s
Rolled up leadstrips are likely to have an engraved wish on the inside.
could that big lump of bronze be a spout of some sort?
Well done kris mate. At the d4v ancaster rally st the minute. Some great finds came up today! 🙂👌👍
Nice bud :D
Great day out and very nice video! All best 👍
I seen this machine in action and is a very good machine .06:00 i would say Pot leg , and 13:44 is a pipe bowl .
Like the new intro!
It is an awesome introduction
nice day out there chriss thanks for taking us. i think the first flint thingy you found was a complete arrow head but maybe discarded cos it wasent slim enough i draw this conclusion cos im a welder . anyway keep digging keep safe ,love the variety of history you have down there .Ant in sunny wales. for a change ,must get digging soon .
Big lump of bronze may be a leg of a stove?
Another great video 👍🏽👍🏽
The clay pile you found may be mid-late 1800s
More pretty cool finds...that bronze piece looks like a spout of some kind maybe for a wine barrel or spirits
great video, i get that feeling when im on my ancient site once the farmer has ploughed and rolled the feild. just never know what will come up.
Great film!
Been looking at entry level machine, would you recommend the quest x10 pro found for £219 thanks 😊
Would you need to notify a FLO for a knapped flint?
I have in the passed and very interested. North east of Scotland
13:20 Could be leftover from tool making. I understand there is a lot of waste knapping stone
Nice finds Kris great info again look forward to the next one well done mate👍👍👊🎧👊
You can clean that coin with baking soda
Wondering if that small bronze ring could bronze age ring money?
Great Hunt My friend, Will be interesting to see what comes up next time
I'm curious to know what you do with the "dead" coins. Do you keep everything, or if they are unidentifiable, do they just go in the bin as worthless?
Pottery and stones.. that really is a good detector...
It's a leg off of a wooden stove
ATB, the item at 13.45 looks like a smokers pipe bowl :0) great finds :0)
It does!
It's a pot leg👍
Absolute banger of an intro song as usual. I think that second coin of nothing-ness was a roman too! Looked thick and the shape was a bit funky.
Looks like a lovely little machine seems very capable nice land you have there kris 🙏🏼
That flint is awesome!
Nice pot leg buddy
Some nice finds Kris. HH and be well
top guy, great channel always enjoy your vids
Much appreciated :D
Great vid Kris , are you sure the bronze at 16.25 was not a Roman ?
#15 today! Off to watch now, but I had to thumbs-up and comment first. ATB & HH!
Great show mate always 👍 bleep on 🍻
Hey mate, brilliant video. My mate dave is looking to get a quest Q30, they look like fantastic machines. They definitely bring out the goodies! Id love to see how it picks out a hammered silver coin. Do they pick up hot rocks at all? Thanks for sharing buddy, your videos are fantastic 👏. Stay safe, ATB, GL&HH Mark
The leg to a cauldron?
Entertaining as always my friend 😎😎😂😂
I love the intro music is perfect
A spear head it looks like. That flint thing lol
Cool 😎 finds buddy keep it Real 🤪👍❤️
13.15, that flint is manmade, you can see several facets which have been removed by knapping.
The fluted with line of petals is a clay pipe
3:10 Mouse's wok.
Sick intro
The bronze Cheerio looking ring looks like part of medieval armor.
It's the leg of a pot
How did you find that flint head? Just my eye?
Just by eye :)
I found something really similar to that big bronze thing
Is the curly coin a love token?🤔🙂🐻
What's an arrowhead
That duck bill looks like a medieval pot leg
dude I think the interesting bit of pottery is actualy a pipe bowl
The bronze piece is a roman pot leg
that little ringlet, might be part of chain mail - armor, eh?
That's what I thought to!
i miss the little cartoon guy
He's always at the end :D
The second oneeeeee
I know it’s annoying but no likes 1 view no comments and it was 15 secs ago so I guess I’m first cause it’s a great video!
Ya early to your video
Wow I’m the 4th comment cool I guess
6:30 is a old medieval pot leg
Arrowhead guy an Indian Arrowhead
That 1 on the half penny was an I for Iesus nazarenus rex iudaeorum meaning Jesus the Nazarene, king of Jews. Apparently a thousand years of history got added to hide us from a real truth much more spectacular than we’re told. But I’m probably, definitely wrong.
What gear do you use
Coin all bent around
11:00 Could it possibly be ring money

It's a foot of a vessel.
The flint tool looks to be a paleolithic handaxe
6.30 pot leg?

Looks like a big lump of bronze pot leg !
It’s an arrowhead , looks onyx
