As a couple have mentioned, the MagSafe stuff can make your S Pen less responsive while attached. I learned this after the video, but thought it was worth noting here.

Even the tiniest little magnetic clip/closure on my folio style wallet case is enough to cause malfunction. So annoying 🤣 can't imagine how rough it is with the legit mag cases
Thanks. I'm looking into Magsafe accessories and their S pen compatibility. Also if like to ask you about Dex a little more in depth. The charging cable that comes with the S23 ultra, or any other Samsung with Dex is not for delivering data right? I want to go with a portable monitor but the cable thing has me confused 😕🤔.
Make sure you check the S Pen with MagSafe cases! Cheaper/thinner ones mess with the S Pen detection on the screen.
Good call, it does seem to make it slightly less sensitive when the grip is on.
Not even the cheap ones unfortunately as I have found with my S22. There was a broad unwriteable semi circle around the catch so I dug out the magnets and all is well apart from a sad looking bur workable case which stays shut in the pocket so will do. Hey ho we live and learn but usually too late.
I just watched 1 min and this guy make me make a good decision of my device ,I trust a good confidence,that why we got a nice guy like him to protect our devices

The logitech Bluetooth keyboards are great to use.
I like the I like the Spigen Ultra Hybrid S. I usually would get the Samsung Clear Case with Kickstand but they didn't make one this yeae...just one with a "ring" that can act like a stand but you can't wirelessly charge on their most recent wireless chargers. So thanks for showing it...I think I'm going to get one via your link.
And yeah, getting the S23 Ultra in and out of a case has been rough.
Love the padding on caseborne cases just wish their camera cutouts weren't so wide open but used this case on my s22u now have my s23u in the iblason armorbox and Def love this case too

The problem with most of the telescopic gamepads is most of them won't hold the phone very well if you have a case on the phone, and I will not go without a case on my phones.
Magbak cases don't effect the s pen just FYI. Idk if that was in the video. Haven't finished it yet.
The cases don't, but The accessories absolutely can.

I don't know why nobody seems to mention them but the zagg/Gear4 crystal palace cases are fantastic. They've got d30 in all the usual drop points and I've used them for nearly 10 years with no breakages. They are a bit steep at £30 but the quality is spot on. It doesn't squeeze the living daylights out of your phone like the spigen ones I've tried
theyre over twice as much as this case. that is why.

Great video! I enjoyed it and after using so many aftermarket brands I stick with Samsung and/or Apple products.
I have noticed that Spigen clear cases tend to yellow in 6 months' time.
Easy to clean, dish soap, salt, toothpaste, lemon, soak overnight.. clean in morning.. looks brand new

It's bulky but I really like the otterbox defender pro. Got it on sale at best buy, plus a gift card, walked away with it for 18 bucks lol
Only thing is the Mag O key ring is not compatible for spen use the middle of screen will be unresponsive until you take the magnet off.
It's not totally unresponsive, but yeah. This wasn't something I was aware of until after the video lol. Got pointed out in another comment.

Magsafe case is great. Just remove it when using the Spen no problem

I had a flip4 yhe screen needed 3x repair as it let lose... would the screen of the fold 4 be more reliable?
i got the spigen ultra hybrid s as well. Its AMAZING and the kickstand is super sturdy! I can't reallly say it's the best protection? I feel like the phone would fall out if i drop it high enough but its a solid case for the price

Edit: so, it's not the additional length that's the problem, it's the thickness. Both grips I showed here felt like the phone was going to pop out it any second. It just couldn't sit down low enough in it.
@@scaryifliteral thanks, yes thought that maybe the case ( sorry about the pun ) it only just fits in my gimbal. Wish they weren't so fragile as having a case is a pain but not broke one yet due to the tough armour so just have to work around it

I would assume that the Optik is decent, but I've never used it to be able to personally vouch for it.
I have the optik armor its pretty good since there isn't any cases with full camera lense protection that i know of

Heads up with that Aramid case. I had the Pitaka brand same style case for s20 ultra...and just from coming out the seat of my car out of pocket...it still cracked the screen. So it is unfortunate because of how nice it feels and looks but that's because it is thin, and that is its downfall as well 😭
Yeah, a case like that is definitely not going to provide the same level of protection as something much thicker.
A rubbery case is essential for these larger smartphones, optionally with a slider to cover/uncover the back cameras.
One accessory often overlooked is a magnetic USB-C adaptor for the smartphone to eliminate constant wear and tear if you plug and unplug your smartphone on a regular basis. Leave the adaptor plugged into the USB-C port; it is only 1-2 mm thick.
I buy oryginal samsung case for z fold and z flip and no samsung cases newer again, pitaka cases are best for my opinion, wery slim nice grip best for me

No personal experience yet Poetic Neon also good.
A case with a clip (quad lok/mous) or magsafe built in would be the only thing better in different ways and I went with cheap and much more protection.
The mous drop test is hysterical... Land on the front unless surface is glass smooth and your screen is shattered
The spigen i thought were great until I dropped a phone lightly (no force) for 1.5 feet onto tile and phone screen amoled leaked.... And two others broke phones with just slightly more force drops.
In contrast I dropped my old otterbox defenders and now my poetic Guardian and Spartans 100s of times and with much force and much height many times with zero breakage of phone and 1 Crack in the front thin cover on one of the cases plus some scuffing and gouging from rock strikes to the soft part of the covers.
The otterboxs after the first few were made much worse with the soft compound shortly stretching and falling off so I gave up went to spigen and unicorn beetle then an otterbox defender again (still bad.. Took less than 2 Mo for the soft part to deform and not lock over Ridge.}. Poetic and a spider waterproof case with web design for an iPhone se (great wonderful case but waterproof interferes with audio) and more poetic

Remember, there is a COMPASS in your s23ultra etc, magnets DO effect the accuracy of a compass. I did some research and a 'constant' magnet against your phone, I read, could have some negative effects. Please research for yourself cuz its $1k + phone, worth the time to do your homework. Why would you have a constant magnet? The case itself just has a metal ring, it's the charger that is magnetic I don't think the case is.
@@terre08 some of the thicker cases have a magnet in them as well. I almost bought one until i reread the description info. The case was awesome but for the magnet.

Cuz not since 3g , 4 , & S counterparts has an Apple Phone looked 👌 sweet. Samsung design is just nicer . Nothing about a pro max made me want it. Apple 🍎 comes into its own when you put Cydia on there after a Jailbreak. But again haven't had a Jailbroken IPhone. My iPhone 4S was devastating 😮 shit programmed on there .
