@@KimSooo16if it makes you feel better my mom called me fat growing up. I thought I was super fat. Now that I'm an adult with kids and actually fat I wish I could have that body back when I was a kid. I was skinny. My mom won't admit it but I know she called me fat because she didn't want me to be like her. Wrong method but I get it. It messed me up for years. And I'm not from an Asian home. So it's not specifically Asians that are like this. We all struggle with that. But now that I'm a mom with a daughter who is bigger(not fat she is half Samoan so just more solid) I tell her how much I love her because she truly does give the best snuggles and if she was a skinny mini I know she wouldn't be a good snuggler. Lol I tell her how beautiful she is and give her good comebacks in case someone tries to call her fat or say she is to big. She came into the world looking like a Sumo baby lol 11lbs4oz.

In South Korea, everyone is very skinny and this is kinda hard... because no one will ever love me for who I am, even them. I can really tell that she has let herself go, and that is never healthy, one can eat lots of food and still stay reasonably healthy. Had she gained 10kg of muscle mass, I'd be impressed, 10kg of fat, no that's laziness and a heart attack waiting to happen. Each time I hit 56kg in weight, I feel fat, and I'm a dude. I used to weigh 59kg almost pure muscle, but due to mostly laziness I lost a lot of muscle weight and gained some bellyflab instead. I know that my body doesn't feel any better, and it doesn't matter how delusional I am about it.
But I guess, you body positive kind of people, need to go to Thailand and shop at an aptly named store for all the body positive people, it's called Moo Moo, or the store just a few meters away from it, Love Calories...

@@livedandletdieJesus christ. You should talk to a doctor or psychologist about your eating habits. I don't know how tall you are but 56kg is a low weight for a male, and it sounds like you are forcing yourself into it to not "feel fat". Being underweight is horrible for your heart and can lead to premature death, it is much more dangerous than the overweight category which statistically lives longer than the "normal" one.
Fretting over weight control and numbers is not healthy. The stress from severe mental issues can take 10-20 years of your life. Please, take care of yourself.

You’re healthy! It’s one of the side effects of having a loving boyfriend who cares about you. You don’t realize how angry you are when you’re skinny. Always hangry. When you have a caring boyfriend, they want to always be around that sweet loving girlfriend they know & love… and they’ve cracked the code that most of the time- it’s because we haven’t eaten. Especially for women who have grown up in areas where it’s the norm to constantly starve yourself. (Yes I know this is everywhere- but it’s okay to be chunky in Europe & americas while in Asia it’s less normal) when I gained my relationship weight, I was so disgusted with myself. But now I’ve realized that I’ve traded a bit of weight, for much better mental health, and a man who loves me regardless. And to me, that’s a WIN. Love you Uyen, it’s so important to talk about these things when you have a large platform. You’re honestly such a blessing to have on social media. And you’re someone I would want the little girls in my life to look up. Keep doing you, and don’t change *anything* because someone else told you to. Consider this: what if some of your best traits, the ones that will (or already have) attracted the best sort of partner (if that's even a thing you want), require you to have energy and a couple extra pounds? You can't be all of yourself when you're consistently greyed out, far away, and deprived of calories. You deserve the chance for all of you to be met, and other people also deserve the chance to meet all of you and maybe find something they really treasure. Not only does restrictive dieting take from you, it takes from your current and potential future community, too. Your future friends and partners might have a harder time finding you if you suppress everything nonstandard about yourself and stay calorie drained too often.

I hope everyone can simply be themselves in a world that profits from insecurities.
