The deadzone could be your in game settings too. Cause the stick is actually moving which makes me think you have a high deadzone set in your settings.

i don't know if your on pc but you can adjust the deadzone for the controller in the xbox accessories hub.Also what i see alot of people who review this addon do is shift manual with the A B buttons, if you use R1 for upshift and L1 gor downshift, it will make your life a whole lot easier.you can place your pointing fingers on L1 and R1 and your thumbs on the mini wheel without to take your thumbs of the wheel to shift.And test around with steering sensitivity.That could help too with the overall feel of turning your car,a lower sensitivity is preferable👍
It is a great product. The one thumb on the joystick is too hard and gets fatigued. This device eliminates that plus apply brake in turns allows the other thumb to control steering. I use it in Assetto Corsa. Deadzone set to 0. It would be great if they can make force feedback on the joystick thats attached to have some resistance like the big wheels
you can lubricate the parts that have friction to make it less stiff no ? I'm thinking of getting this

I wish I watched your video before I purchase it for my blue controller 🤦🤦. I was just wondering how much does the plastic touches the buttons? Is it possible to shave some of the plastic off?
You can fix it if you go into your settings on your controller press X for advanced settings
Lower the steering deadzone in the game settings menu or try turning up the steering sensitivity other than that I don’t know need to play about with it to figure something out

Man don't be stupid. That dead spot is not because of the wheel. Go in the control settings and reduce the dead spot to zero
