In my time where I come from we didn’t make disrespectful momma jabs for no damn reason. Your whole damn generation is disrespectful, and most of you lack substance, direction, grit, and basic common sense, and you are proof of that; but since we’re on the subjects of mommas..... only a son of a never married, single mother/hood pass around would make such a comment. Because he had his own style, distinct culture that came with it, and virtually EVERYBODY in the pop music industry globally tried to copy it but couldn't. Prince owned that s**t. It would have been amazing if he and Ted did a project together.

48:30-49:50 This is why Teddy was trying to give people a show during the battle, but yall's ungrateful asses dragged him for it. I know what he was trying to do. The battle with Babyface showed me two things: When you try to do more, people don't appreciate it and Teddy Riley is hella underrated. The battle really opened my eyes to how much he brought to music and how versatile his music range and catalog is, just listening to his songs back to back. I already knew how much Babyface brought to the game, but this showed me how underrated Teddy Riley is.

What people don’t understand is watching him sit there and reconstruct each and every instrument was one amazing experience. Let me put this out there I remember him working on the inspector gadget ref for a few hours until he was satisfied with the way it sound. I’ll even put this out there with Dougie fresh showed up to pick up the track it was awkward I felt like he wasn’t going to get recognition or credit because of the way that Dougie fresh left his apartment. Teddy Riley is a musical genius. Our modern day Bach, Beethoven or Amadeus. For an hour extremely well done interview, check out his interview at the Red Bull Music Academy.

I wish his mic was turned up or he spoke a bit louder. My laptop was on 100% volume, but that wasn't enough. I had to use my HDMI cable to link up with my TV and cut the volume up to 50 to hear what this legend was saying 😂😂
All that aside, I HAD to hear what this man had to say. I listened to an interview a few weeks ago and he was talking about how he chose the album cover for MJ's Dangerous. That is one of my FAVORITE album covers of all time!
PLEASE make a biopic on this man sometime! I would love to have Babyface do a lengthy interview like this as well!

I remember when Guy, Al B Sure!, Keith Sweat dropped their first LPs. Everybody on the yard at Southern University (B.R.) was playing it in the cars, dorm, kick backs or wherever, even back home in Cali. THE ENTIRE ALBUM (cassettes, CD's) beginning to end; that's how good they were.🔥🔥🚨
