The song Aaron Hall fucked up was "Miss You" and the crowd started booing, that shit broke my heart. He got mad , went in the back and came out , told us that he had a surgery the week before. Teddy came back out and literally saved the show. Showmanship, dancing, hits etc. he literally gave us a SHOW.
Garion Bush I’m not hating, just stating the facts.... and as far as my mother is concerned, she passed before that man was born. In my time where I come from we didn’t make disrespectful momma jabs for no damn reason. Your whole damn generation is disrespectful, and most of you lack substance, direction, grit, and basic common sense, and you are proof of that; but since we’re on the subjects of mommas..... only a son of a never married, single mother/hood pass around would make such a comment. Which makes me wonder if your momma was a rump shaker back in the day.... The question is did he have your momma? Or did they all have her?
Teddy Riley is definitely a legend. I'm glad people are recognizing his contribution to the culture. He is 51 and looks young, maybe not getting married is the key to youthfulness lol.
I know y’ll are jumping into conclusion just because TR looks 38 at 51. Many studies revealed married men live longer than single ones. Once an unmarried man hits retirement age, that’s when the hard times starts, if he’s not financially secured.
Married men live longer....married women die younger. Single men die younger...single women live longer. Looks like men really need women more than they need them....we literally live longer when we don't burden ourselves with you for the rest of our lives. :)

48:30-49:50 This is why Teddy was trying to give people a show during the battle, but yall's ungrateful asses dragged him for it. I know what he was trying to do. The battle with Babyface showed me two things: When you try to do more, people don't appreciate it and Teddy Riley is hella underrated. The battle really opened my eyes to how much he brought to music and how versatile his music range and catalog is, just listening to his songs back to back. I already knew how much Babyface brought to the game, but this showed me how underrated Teddy Riley is.
Right, he was trying to give us a show. Then guess what? Versus copied his whole idea & started to make it into to a show/concert just like Teddy was trying to do. 💯
@lemmieatit most of Rap was based off of Staxx Records, James Brown, Jazz and Mtume samples. Motown records weren't being sampled for breakbeats and ish at the beginning. Motown started to get sampled in the late 80s-90s. But what the people are saying is that even Gladys, Patti, Aretha, Stevie, The Temptations.....hopped on New Jack Swing Beats that became hit records for them during the 80's.
Teddy's contribution to much of the hit music is unknown to many of us. While most of his collaborators got the lion share of the credit, it is left to wonder how much credit he received (both financial and otherwise). This man should be a household name. Much, much respect to his talent
Just to listen to Teddy voice while he talks sound like a nice melody. He have a nice claim voice. I can listen to his voice all night. He is definitely a legend he made so many hits back in the day. Teddy is amazing , to have gone through so much and still be humble and forgiving speaks volume. Lesson in all this be careful who u shake hands with and no matter how many folks you have on your team you should always be aware of business of what's going on
Here’s a little known fact about Teddy Riley he went to I.S 195 School of the Arts in Harlem and was a musical genius that could play the hell out of the drums. Just a talented young man with a spirit of humbleness. Teddy Riley is one of Harlem’s Sons who we proudly share with the World!!!! New Jack Swing Forever!
Teddy Riley produced "The Show" - Doug E Fresh & Slick Rick. Understand, without Teddy Riley there would be no Puffy, No Babyface, No Jimmy Jam, No The Time, no Jermaine Dupri, no Neptunes, no Chuckii Booker, no D-Nice, No Polow Da Don, No Pharrell, No Big Tymers, No 40, No Dr. Dre, no Hitmen. There would be no hip-hop soul, no contemporary hip hop, No GzA. The man is legendary
This may stirrup a conversation but I actually was in the recording studio sitting in his living room with him when he came in with the show for Dougie fresh, I was there when Dougie fresh showed up and picked up the record up. What people don’t understand is watching him sit there and reconstruct each and every instrument was one amazing experience. Let me put this out there I remember him working on the inspector gadget ref for a few hours until he was satisfied with the way it sound. I’ll even put this out there with Dougie fresh showed up to pick up the track it was awkward I felt like he wasn’t going to get recognition or credit because of the way that Dougie fresh left his apartment. I’ve watch this guy create so many hit songs and didn’t get the credit for it. But yet we never knew that he would become discreet sitting there in his living room day after day after day practicing and doing what he loved.
Heres what i learned. 1 i never knew he was from Harlem always thought it was VA. 2 never knew he had a hand in doug e fresh the show. 3 Bobby Brown stories never gets old. 4 he needs 2 hours for an interview

I absolutely love Teddy! He's always been one of my favorite producers/artists. Absolutely amazing! I need a book, biopic, movie, tv series, whatever!! EVERYTHING! We need more of his story. And I just love hearing him talk. His voice is so soothing.
♥️♥️♥️♥️❤️❤️❤️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Let's interview Devante Swing next, the producer of Jodeci. Plz
I second this.👍🤙💪👌😎
PrOj21Us word. That should be a 1 1/2 joint

Facts
Garion Bush FACTS!!! 💯💯💯
Teddy Riley is a musical genius. He's known for "New Jack Swing", but Teddy has a deep musical intellect. The brother is the truth!
All I wanna do is zoom-a-zoom zoom-zoom and a poom-poom... 🗣JUST SHAKE YOUR RUMP! ... 26yrs later, and that song still goes!

This one solitary person is the reason why I’m stuck in the late 80s-90s. Tremendous thank you to your genius Teddy!
Just to listen to Teddy voice while he talks sound like a nice melody. He have a nice claim voice. I can listen to his voice all night. He is definitely a legend he made so many hits back in the day. When ever you heard Teddy Riley songs you are up on your feet dancing. I miss the old back in the days songs.

His work on MJ's Dangerous is some of the most refreshing music to this day
His best aging album
Jamal 4K Tea. Remember The Time, In The Closet, Jam... they slap to this day.
He brought MJ into the '90's beautifully. I remember my jaw dropped when I first heard 'Jam' like 😨

Babyface, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis were established musicians and producers years before Teddy came along.
blade brown they weren’t that big until about 86. Tomato tamato
You say tomato I say bullshit.
This is the dumbest comment on this thread how old are you?
Jason Clark FACTS!
T.Riley has a certain thing that wants to keep you watching/listening. Seems Genuine. Good Interview.

Teddy Riley voice is so soothing he should do ASMR 😂
I agree his voice is soothing. But what is AMSR? I've seen that around, but don't know what it means.
Anitra Williams It's ASMR(Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) where ppl make videos of things that supposed to stimulate your senses or calm you like talking in whispers, the sounds of crunchy pickles being eaten, the sound of scissors cutting hair etc. It's been popular for a few years now

I wish his mic was turned up or he spoke a bit louder. My laptop was on 100% volume, but that wasn't enough. I had to use my HDMI cable to link up with my TV and cut the volume up to 50 to hear what this legend was saying 😂😂
All that aside, I HAD to hear what this man had to say. I listened to an interview a few weeks ago and he was talking about how he chose the album cover for MJ's Dangerous. That is one of my FAVORITE album covers of all time!
PLEASE make a biopic on this man sometime! I would love to have Babyface do a lengthy interview like this as well!
