  • Learn how to tie a double sling shoulder to shoulder back carry for your baby and toddler. Also known as DSS2S (or previously DRS2S). This tutorial will take step by step through this woven baby sling back carry.
This is a fantastic back carry for heavier children, it distributes the weight well and offers excellent support. It also allows you to tighten your passes easily through the chest belt before tying off.
Here Emma uses a size 6 which is her Base Size. Your Base Size +1 is also ideal.

It's amazing how smoothly you execute this elaborate carry! With my second baby, who is very active, I just gave up the sling after the first few months and just went for an ergonomic buckle handmade from a woven sling. Neither he nor I had enough patience.

Yes buckle carriers can be great for ease of use! Of course there are more simple wrap carries if you or baby want something a bit faster to work with and then you can build up from there :)

This looks super comfortable, but I just cannot handle those long wraps. I only use base -2 by now.

I want to try this one!!! My go to is "Giselle's" back carry but this looks fantastically comfortable and supportive

Yes, give it a go and let us know how you get on! My favourite carry for toddlers :)

I keep trying to do this but I just keep failing. Baby will not be patient to let my try. She just keeps ripping my hair out to get down 😢

That's a shame, perhaps stick to a simpler, faster carry for now, if you're not confident with front carries then do FWCC until confident and then try Ruck and move on from there.

This is an organic cotton and Tencel blend sling. We don't have this one in stock any more but do have more Tencel blends in other patterns
